Michigan’s answer was also sincere and solid. She and TN gave the best answers imo. Oregon’s answer was also memorable but since Mario cut her off, it was not a perfect answer. It was cliche.. but the judges liked those answers back then. And, given that she had crowd support and the Miss Congeniality award on her side, that likely influenced the judges scoring.
Back in the days, the teen contestants didn’t really give good answers (I.e. 2007). But, this year’s top 5 gave great answers! All of them did good. Alt. I didn’t like Oregon the most here... because she was the least attractive finalist, she gave a good answer. It may sound cliche but it was memorable and likely stuck in the judges’ minds. TN was stunning and gave a great answer as well and hence I would’ve crowned her if I was judging. Oregon’s answer wasn’t that far from TN or Michigan’s answers. Mass. also did great but could’ve personalized it (mention an experience with a friend for example) and did even better. Oh well...
Rodrigo Arecheta I thought TN should’ve won. I’m sure Oregon winning Congeniality and having the crowd support likely benefitted her that night. Facially.. she was the least attractive in this top 5.
@@lilytsui3015 Personality will be always more attractive than just a plain pretty face. In fact, Oregon has been the MTUSA that has raised more money than any other along the years!
Rodrigo Arecheta that’s interesting, I didn’t know that. Anyhow, I don’t find her memorable because she doesn’t stand out facially from the past winners. I’m sure she has personality but it’s not as bubbly as say Brook Lee
Massachusetts ´s answer was real good and relevant to a teen pageant. New Jersey´s answer was too short. I got the gist of it...but it kinda sucked,I agree Oregon´s answer was too cliché, boring and pageant patty. Tennessee´s answer was sincere, fluid, and she was just gorgeous. Michigan´s answer was very good, she got a difficult question and pulled it out real good.
