How did you not get teary eyed? I listened to your reaction and I have not heard this song in a couple of months and again I got teary eyed. This song requires you to be ready for this mood like you said. Great reaction.
That’s cause there is a language barrier, meaning gets lost in translation, I think the reaction was amazing regardless tho yes as someone who understands urdu or hindi would definitely react a little differently!
This is my favorite song from the whole season. It's just hauntingly beautiful. The composition is otherworldly. Both the singers have such gorgeous vocals and their voices sound perfect together. But what I love the most is lyrics. The word "Mehram" in itself is a sea of emotions. Other people, no matter how much they try to comprehend the meaning, wouldn't be able to understand the real delicacy of the song because they don't have a word for Mehram to relate with. I'm not bragging at all, or maybe I am, but this song is nowhere as impactful for foreigners as it is to us Pakistanis. I cannot listen to this song without getting emotional. I'd make a recommendation. Please check out the song "Teri Tasveer" by "Bayaan". You'll love it so much. It has an office MV too.
Its hauntingly beautiful and u got the right vibe from it. Arooj was nominated for two Grammys this year including Best New Artist and won one Grammy for best global performance for her song Mohabbat, which was also part of Barak Obama playlist of selctive songs he listen to, h releasd. She was also invited to perform at Coachella this year.
I think you were spot on , the female singer said during the song making that her goal is to produce a deep and haunting song and you felt it which is great
Atif Aslam’s 99 names also called ‘Asmeh Husna’ is amazing.’Tajdar e Haram’ has over 350 million views and is a great showcase of Atif Aslam’s singing talents.
i dont know whether you noticed it but both asfar and arooj setups are carefully set. Asfar is preserving memories and Arooj has moon light she keeps wishing for him. The sprouts on the ground represent the relationship which may or may not become something. All of it is explained in the coke studio making video of this song. the set is related to a story of two birds popular in India and Pakistan.
Hey JIM, Thanks for your video reaction. The face impression and face color changes speak about how much you are impressed with Pakistani music. I hope there will be a (Husband and Wife) reaction soon to the remaining Pakistani music. BTW what are you and she smoking during the video reaction? Is it Shesha or something like perfumed tobacco? Love from Pakistan
Man this is just the tip of the iceberg here with Season 14. You check out previous seasons. Keep requesting you for Coke Studio Season 12 and particularly couple of songs in it like; Hairaan Hua Sanam Marvi, Aadam Fareed Ayaz Abu Mohammed, Wohi Khuda Hai Atif Aslam. Hope you will check these out. Much Love :)
I got some recommendations for Pakistani music. You could start with songs from the band called "Strings": "Najanay Kyun" ,"Sohniyae", "Koi Aanay Wala Hai", "Titliyaan" and "Duur" which are all really great music videos if you want to view those that way. Also check out "Rangeen" and "Channo" music vids from Ali Zafar. I'd say these music videos give you a taste of 2000's Pakistani pop outside of Coke Studio(which is great don't get me wrong but reactors only listen to coke studio for pakistani music lol) and maybe you could call some of this alternative rock as well. It's all pretty nostalgic stuff I think you'll like. Ok last two I'll mention. the music video(also from Strings) called "Humsafar". Not gonna lie I didn't understand what was actually going on in this video as a child and I still don't haha. But it sounds good and the visuals are really nice. And lastly the music video for "Na Re Na" by Ali Azmat. It's got crazy symbolism that I don't understand either , just really trippy all around but it sounds great of course
Great review as always! I’m glad you got to explore Pakistani music. There are a plenty of other legendary musicians before the time of Coke Studio that are definitely worth a listen but Coke Studio is a good starting place to discover some new talent.
Really enjoy your reactions. Thankyou for reacting to this one, one of my favourites. In my opinion, you've gone through everything worth listening to in season 14 now. Please react to these gems from the previous ones: Titliyan, Wohi Khuda Hai and (Urr Jaon -Strings band Pakistan from stringsonline )
Please also react on The Magical Journey of Coke studio season 14 songs.. You will be blown away by the amount of effort they put in! And they're enjoyable too so do react on them.
You've done it again with your genuinely refreshing feedback. Asfar has been a regular on Nescafe Basement and I'd suggest you watch and react to GORAK DHANDA. And Arooj has made it onto Obama's playlist. 'nuff said 😁
Coke studio Pakistan and Nascafe basement shows the real face of Pakistani Music....... along with coke studio must explore Nacafe basement songs like "Mehbooba" , "Bol Hoo" and "payar di gallan" of Nascafe basement.......
subtitles were so wrong. the song is about divorce. mehram is an islamic concept. anyone a woman cannot marry is her mehram, like her father, brothers, maternal and paternal uncles. but when she marries, her husband becomes her mehram, as well as her FIL. once divorced, they are no longer each other mehrams. a woman needs to cover herself in front of those who are not her mehrams. so once when she could show herself to her husband, she no longer after divorce.
Welcome to Pakistani music. All of the Coke Studio Pakistan (the YT channel you're going through) is Pakistani music. Season 14 is mostly original and new music. Earlier seasons have more folk and sufi songs, if you really want to learn about our traditions and culture. Sufi music is very spiritual and poetic. So, the tradition of awesome lyrics comes from a long history of exquisite poetry going back over 7 centuries.
Xulfi is a Musical Magician, Emotional Tycoon,....it feels Season 15 will start with a pistol or option to hear entire season, people will ask who made it? CS will say Xulfi, people will empty that pistol in the heart 🤷♂️
Abdullah Siddiqui songs 🇵🇰 He is English singer from Pakistan He wrote and produced his own songs Lyrics are in description of the songs 1- Terrified 2- Be myself

Actually Coke Studio is all Pakistani But there's an Indian and Bangladeshi Version. The 14 seasons are from Pakistan alone. Other ones count their own.
Hey also give a try to Pak Dramas ost. Here's a list: Sad: Hum Kahan Ke Sachay The ost, Do Bol ost, Bol Kafara, Tu Mera Nahi, Bharas ost, Be Wafa ost, Serab ost, Ishq Zah E Naseeb ost About Spirituality : Alif ost, Alif Allah Aur Insan ost, Ibadat ( 2nd ost of Ishq E Laa), Shre Zaat ost , Kashf ost Osts of some Romcoms: Laapata ost, Hum Tum ost, Shahruk Ki Saaliya ost, Romiyo Weds Heer ost, Chupke Chupke ost, Pyar Ke Sadqay ost

Because he can't understand lyrics like we do.
Me too dude 💔
That’s cause there is a language barrier, meaning gets lost in translation, I think the reaction was amazing regardless tho yes as someone who understands urdu or hindi would definitely react a little differently!
Propery spoken urdo poetry is another level art form. The play of the word with mehram, mahroom is amazing brings multiple meaning.
When I first heard that song, it gave me goosebumps at so many parts. This was such a gift! One of my fav songs from Coke Studio!
Great reaction , u should react to the magical journey of each of this songs and I promise u will enjoy it

This song is an extremely sad song. Its a song about losing somebody/breakup, stuff like that
A lot of the meaning is lost in translation, one gets a better meaning in Urdu.
Why dont you review a Bts?Perhaps of this song?
Subtitles are sucked
Good for you
You might "DEAD"✌️
Sadly I didn't like this song very much, for me just ok
May be not of my taste, but in same mood, I like 'phir milnein ge" very much.
You didn't mention Pakistan in the video caption, is that intentional? Cause I've seen you react to the Indian version and it explicitly says Bharat in the caption!
.
Double standards man! Shameful!
The translataors sucks 😅
