Dude, i don't want to be a killjoy here, but i got around 300 subs on something that can't be even called "a youtube channel". I have a UA-cam ACCOUNT that i started way back, looong time before Google took over and ruined it, just so i could create playlists of stuff i'm interested in. Later i started VERY RARELY uploading random gaming moments, and a bit longer flight simulator videos of my own, but without voiceover, without commentary whatsoever. I also upload videos of my gf's pet rats. Nothing more. No theme, no point. Just random playlists of stuff i like from other UA-cam accounts, random gaming&flight sim stuff & pet rats. But, people drizzled in and somehow subbed anyway. What you SHOULD be happy about, is that your channel gets recommended to people, because it appeared in my youtube feed, that is usually crammed full (sometimes exclusively) of stuff that i've already seen, but nothing new that i MIGHT be interested in. UA-cam sadly became a joke, where people who it was originally made for, became an afterthought. Gave you a like anyway, and good luck!
