Honestly Max was justified in his actions. Especially towards his family. It's not like they simply didn't believe him. They KNEW he was innocent. Abi especially knew but sided with the Mitchells anyway, Lauren knowing but siding with the Beales. He was abandoned and left to rot. The only truly innocent person he hurt in all this was Carmel

Max was guilty of a lot but how can Jack say experience in the force made him realise he was guilty when he wasn't? You can see why max got revenge. At least max was there for him with Ronnie
Both brothers were there for one another when someone has died, but it was bad writing for them to have Jack use 'I thought you could have killed Lucy' because Max is reckless but he's not someone who was especially violent.
Sorry but even max own daughter knew he was innocent of killing Lucy she knew the truth and still let her dad suffer for months in prison ian Jane, and Jack got what they deserved an eye for eye x

Max has some surprising bravado here, I mean he usually stands up to Jack but when it's like this? He knows Jack can batter him, was probably the dumbest thing to taunt him. Good on Jack for being the bigger man and holding back.
Max is the older brother. Most of the time, if not always, he had the mental advantage over Jack. He knew how to push his buttons and wind him up. Generally, it tends to be that way with brothers.
