In my opinion, for those who already have the GG or the Pacific, it is not really worth upgrading.
From what I understand from his words.
Poseidon doesn't have the magic that DHT-based DAC's have unless you go for the Horizon flagship (which costs like a house) so what exactly are you upgrading here?

Ron did you get any clarity on whether the Horizon will be updated so the preamp section at a min matches Poseidon as a Horizon v2?

No, I did not. But Lukasz and Fred Ainsley are very active on WBF. Just post a question to them on the WBF Poseidon thread.

if lampizator products are so crazy good now, what he will build in 2026, 2027, 2029, 2033? Perhaps another attempt at speakers?

In my recent interview with Lukasz he referred slightly coyly to amplifier projects. I would be excited to see him build a new 211 PSET! Or an 833 SET!

It sounds to me that they have turned from a boutique company that produces exotic products to another industrial audio company that goes for profit and mass production and not for special and quality products like they did when they started :(.
To my opninion whoever buys a 211 or G70 amplifier is not interested in having a PCB inside the amplifier.
It's not for nothing that there are still companies like Jadis, Shindo, etc... that stay true to tradition and manufacture tube amplifiers like this with PTP wiring because it's simply the best and purest there is.

      Hi!
I do not see the evidence for these concerns.
If Lukasz says he can maintain or improve sound quality while also improving manufacturing consistency and reliability I see nothing wrong with that.

So what if Lukas says?? What do you expect him to say??
He is a business and eventually he wants to make money.
And so I think he decided to change his busines model. after all, it is clear that producing pcb-based tube amplifiers that do not require high skill to assemble and also shorten the production time is more profitable. But in the end it is reflected in the quality. This is my opinion anyway. And what I can tell you from my personal experience is that when I upgraded from GG to GG2 (the upgrade costed me 4000 euros), I felt a considerable decrease in the sound quality. Only later did I realize that they had moved from R2R to Delta Sigma.

@@moshezuhmih I understand that some people prefer GG over GG2. That is personal preference and totally reasonable.
Ultimately we do not have to rely upon what Lukasz merely says. Each of us will be able to judge for ourselves whether the newer products sound better to our respective ears than the older products.

@@whatsbestforum My experience teaches me that what is newer and more expensive is not always better

@@moshezuhmih With this I completely agree!
When a friend gets excited about an upgrade to an existing component and wants to switch, I ask him/her: "Unless you have heard the new version how do you know you like it more than your current version?"
