- in todays video we are routing away at the mf 6290 to get her running again but we hit a pot hole and found that the handbrake callipers needed to be changed with only a few days left to on her will we have her running or will we fail?

I could watch father Phil all day and night! He's a natural on the camera!!
There is a suction screen/filter in the bottom of that tractor behind a large bung. It's very important to take that out and clean it as both pumps are fed with oil through it. Plus those handbrake linings will have it blocked. That could be the reason the pump went. Blocked screen caused oil starvation to the pump.

Where I work, we describe some people as potholes, better off avoiding them, there are others we describe as dark clouds, you can’t avoid them but the day gets a lot brighter when they feck off, Father Phil couldn’t avoid the handbrake problem so once its fixed, all will be grand. It is said that a good gynaecologist could wallpaper a hall just working through the letter box, in another life Father Phil would have been a good gynaecologist.

Things are coming together good. Those hand brakes are some easy to leave on. When I redid the one on my Agco I swore I wouldnt use it hahahaha. Merry Christmas from across the pond !!!

Phil why has the Massey have so many big problems it doesn't seem too old brilliant video (those half inch drivers r an absolute miracle) have a great new year guys
What hours are on the 6290 now? Usually around the 6000 hrs is the time to check. If the paint hasn't been broken on the half Shafts it would be know harm popping the right hand side to check disc's. Right hand seems to be first to wear out. Could save another dismantling job!

Great stuff Phil First is it a scavenge or a charge pump ? as they do different jobs Don’t worry about deadlines that’s for top management
It lifts the oil into the main pump at 4 bar of pressure. So I don’t know whether that makes it a charge or scavenger pump but everyone has referred to it as a scavenger pump
That's a shame it didn't make the deadline but it's nearly there could have been a lot worse plus we get another video to watch 😅
