Those Of us and Florida are pretty much in for one hell of a season I guess!
I live in eastern PA and i wont even be surprised if a tropical system hits us
We may need to revisit what constitutes a "normal" atlantic hurricane season.
Isn't it always a ridiculously busy hurricane season since about 2005
Debatable, but yes it does seem like that
2017 was average (I think).. 2020 was very active and I wouldn’t doubt this year either
If you consume news, yes. But to answer your question: no
@@alexisritchel 2017 was very much hyperactive in terms of activity and very destructive throughout the Atlantic
2017 was the opposite of average, it was very active, in fact it was the costliest season on record.
Know how strong last year hurricane Lee was on an el Leno, it’s scary to think who strong the strongest hurricane will be this year
Thank you for this weather report. I'm concerned because I live in Texas and I have family in Florida. Wow, it's a lot to think about!
not to sound bad, but watching hurricane seasons are so thrilling and its interesting to see because each one is different it is rlly entertaining
Yes, it's like watching a race 🐎
-not really entertaining if you live in the vulnerable areas.
Я из центральной России, мне интересно смотреть Вашу погоду, для меня это фантастика ❤️
Love Hurricanes so I love this potentially hyperactive season forecast.
Until you lose everything to a hurricane.
You obviously do not live near the coast.
Dude hurricanes not nothing to play around with hurricanes can take your life and your property from you so that’s nothing to be interesting of watching.
Do not play around with nature
This must be an agent for Allstate or Statefarm insurance, they live hurricane hype, so they can raise rates…..
I think Florida West Coast will see a major hurricane landfall we've been spare too many times and our time is running out
Last year the Big Bend was struck by a major hurricane, the year before it was southwest Florida. I strongly believe a major hurricane will hit the central west coast of Florida this year. Tampa Bay's 100 year major hurricane drought may come to an end.
This sounds very exciting
Moved out of Florida after 25 years there. It sucks in Florida so much. Too crowded, too much traffic, drivers can't drive don't signal always accidents, too hot, to too many bugs, too many hurricanes, houses way over inflated prices.
Bring on the hurricanes im in the north east. I'm good. Lol.

Could it be another 2020 season like for 2024,
And next 5 years, La Nina in 2029-30, maybe 2029 season, like another 2005
La Nina conditions will be there around June 2024
How can you predict something that depend in so many different conditions. Don’t scare people what is the purpose or is that the weather is also being manipulated too. Be careful with what you say
.
There's a tons of data to make these predictions, weather models are advanced, given how hot the ocean surface temps were why would this year be any different, ocean temperatures have been on the rise for a long time and more tropical storms and more powerful hurricanes. See there's a trend you can bury your head in the sand and say it's not happening but it is and the warnings scientists put out almost 50 years ago, well we have been entering into the Finding Out stage for several years, after decades of FA for the shareholders.
This trash Is what Is sold by these people. Usually the most unreliable who "forecast" 120 days ahead when they can't deal with 3 days.
Something called climatic patterns and the upward trending of global sea temperatures... La Niña years are historically more active when it comes to hurricane seasons. Higher temperatures also means that development will be accelerated for many tropical storms. The Caribbean Sea and Gulf of Mexico are hot spots in the summer months, so it makes sense that this coming season will be above average for storm activity.
1 to 3 Major Hurricanes
A few early TS/ maybe a small hurricane
15-20 TS and small hurricanes throughout June,July,August,September
Maybe an October Hurricane
Absolutely Bernie!
South Florida is due for a big one, we really haven’t gotten badly hit since Wilma….

G'day From Australia🇦🇺 i hope my fellow friends in the U.S will be alright because that looks like it will be very hyperactive this season.
We'll see, I just don't like the media buzzwords. Because even without the jet stream providing shear to destroy storm development various other things in the atmosphere could deter more robust storms, however I will definitely say I wouldn't be surprised even this far out to see stronger hurricanes of course
Has your hurricane season been above average. Is your water above average
@@earlsmith413 not active at all here in Australia. Only 4 named Storms so far. I was just looking at a weather update before and apparently there's twin cyclones forming one near Western Australia and one in North queensland(where i live) so I'm keeping a lookout for both Storms.

Good, maybe this time you all will learn to stop building out of essentially what amounts to playing cards to these storms. For as long as our species has lived on the coasts you would think it would have learned by now how to do it effectively and not have their belongings strewn across miles or completely washed out to sea every year.
What about new Orleans Louisiana
Preparation is key!
It was supposed to be that last year. It ended being very quiet. The Sharan dust seems to not be factored into this forecast. The dust was unreal last year.
Last year we were in an El Nino. This means more wind shear/fewer storms. However, there was actually an above-average season last year. Although the US was spared from most of the dangerous storms it was still a more active season than normal. This had to do with a multitude of different things. One is the depth of the warm water. The water last year was at a record warmth. This record warmth also came with great depth which gave more ingredients for a storm to spur up. This year they are predicting that again. However, there is a lot at play. There could be a volcanic eruption somewhere in the world and the ash can disrupt storm formation. The dust can be more apparent than what meteorologists are predicting. However, that does not seem to be the case. Multiple models are showing more moisture (Not rain but moisture in the air) in the Atlantic. These are the reasons for the so-called strong active season. However, don't get confused as these storms are nearly impossible to predict where they go this far out due to several different factors that we won't be able to see until it gets closer. Hope this helps.
It's nice how many anonymous profiles in the comments can read the available data better than people with education and experience in the field.
Isn't though? You have to wonder how many are paid for by certain vested interests that want enough people to deny things are happening because of their businesses and others are foreign accounts to stir outrage by our totally calm cool collected population.
La Nina conditions will be there around July 2029 and maybe lasted until Spring of 2030
Since when did pre-teens become hurricane experts?
For those of us who live down here in Florida are pretty much screwed it looks like!
'The atlantic is record warm' doesn't tell much, it's actually been record warm every single day from early march 2023 to present day...
They said that last year...and it turned out to be a quiet hurricane season. Somebody's fear porning everyone again.
I feel like Texas is getting one in June.. but Texas has escape a lot of storms but I feel like we are in trouble this year
Texas is not even a hotspot this year
Hurricanes can be very unpredictable I would not worry about it I just hafe to be prepared news people do not even know where hurricanes would make landfall I just wait till the season start so I would not bother
The 2005 season used the Greek alphabet and only had 1 less storm than 2020. But they were much stronger.

We'll see...Warm ocean/Gulf temps don't mean ANYTHING. Let's see what the wind sheering does. Last year the Bermuda high was very strong and created record heat and droughts in west Florida. I predict less "H's" than forecasted.
I agree. I think media plays a role in inflating some of this data also
Ah I love social media meteorologist/climatologist they just know more than the actual scientists who spend years studying the subjects.
2029 Atlantic hurricane season will be explosive,
Yes. It will be 26-30 named storms, 10-15 named hurricanes, and 7 majors Hurricane.
Good Bye Florida nothing lasts forever .
So the Hurricane Forecasters are coordinating with the big Home Owners Insurance companies. Now Floridians can be charged more for Insurance because of the Predictions that may or may not come true. This needs to be investigated. They say that every year. Florida has had 16 named hurricanes in 20 years.
The forecast is for the Atlantic not florida, it's in the title.

So you base expertise in interpreting data by someone's age? How small of you.
Everything is showing the possibility of an active season. Last year was active and we were in El Nino, and they said it would be above average. Which it was

Buzzwords of the media. As someone who has been studying tornadoes recently it's impossible to predict any weather events that occur more than a week out and usually even more than a couple days out. People predicting a hurricane season months out is asinine
The markers are already there. If you reflect on meteorological patterns of the past and see what the ocean already looks like at a depth, you will understand the reason for the alarm bells.
