my goodness is this so wonderful, it really brings both the memories & feelings up. the title really holds up, this track has both the energy and wistfulness, it sounds like something when you reflect on the journey and adventures you had and the friends you gained & lost and you're near the final destination of your grand adventure. Awww.... This is SUCH a good idea, and you planned and combined them so well! The soundfonts for the chosen instruments sound beautiful, and the mastering is very professional! ...But, one thing makes it very difficult to listen to... The delay on the main strings from 0:33 - 1:10 make this piece feel disjointed. It doesn't flow, because the strings don't keep up with the driving energy (like they're lazy and being dragged by the beat against their will), then they overlap with the periodic syncopations, in a way that makes it feel like a band going out-of-sync. :( [[And in what's just my personal opinion, those occasional syncopations (every 2nd measure, not counting the intro), during that same problematic period of the song... Those feel like they were unnecessary. If you're doing syncopations, it's usually to add some excitement to a song, to shake things up a little. But, when you take in this piece as a whole, it's going for a smooth vibe. This makes those accents seem out-of-place. In this particular case, my opinion is that they either shouldn't be here at all (it can jolt the listener out of the experience). Or, the syncopations should be committed to fully. Meaning they should have appeared in the intro measures as well, to ease us into knowing they would be there, so they don't shock us... And, they should have been carried through most of the whole song. Or at least, after taking a break in the middle, have it return one more time toward the end, such as 2:24 onward when the drums came back. Since neither of these were done, it's like the syncopation just randomly showed up to cause a little chaos, then it got arrested and taken away halfway through the song. That makes it stand out more in an unpleasant way, at least to me.]] These problems made it very difficult for me to commit to listening any more. But I persevered, and I'm glad I did! Because the timing feels much more correct for the rest of the song. The strings' fade-ins might be better aligned so that their loudest point now lands closer to ON the beat instead of AFTER the beat... Still not perfectly, but there are enough layers in the music to at least carry the momentum better, so it softens the blow and keeps things moving more smoothly. And since the extra syncopations are gone, it's easier to stay in the rhythm. So from here on, it sounds very nice! And it all melds so beautifully together, that I can't remember which part is from which song now! It's such a mind-blowingly awesome experience, being lost between two of some of the best music pieces in the world, not knowing where one begins and the other ends! You found a beautiful harmony between both of these songs (well, all three since there's that little bit of the song from Undertale too). It becomes glorious and epic! But also remembering its soft and fluffy roots, ebbing in and out of strong and gentle energy, to ease us to the end. A fantastic sense of balance, like the thrill of flying, then coming in for a gentle landing, with a few more strong but softening wing-flaps before settling back to the ground. What an amazing piece! I just wish the first "verse" had tighter timing on those lead (melody) strings. To me, that's an objective mistake that makes it hard to listen to an otherwise beautiful, gorgeous, wonderful song... But I'll try to get used to it. Because the rest of it is so good and I don't want to miss out. Thank you for your hard work. You have astounding talent. Just tighten up your timings, make sure the parts fit with the whole, and you'll make perfect music.

Actually im not majoring in music, and all the music are just hobby for enjoying myself. When i need some knowledges, i can find some information on googles or youtube, but there were no one who feedback my musics. And now here you are. Really appreciate it. The syncopation, yeah you are right. It have should be used just for once maybe at the end of the first verse. It's a little embarrasing to say, but when i was making this job, i was so excited of this idea. I could not control my emotion, so i used syncopation at the middle of verse, and... you know, i looped it. Now, after watching your advice, i get it. You are right. It have should not be in the music, or should be just once. And, im so sorry to make you difficult to hear the part of strings. @@GoldenNecklace53 Aw man, I admire how graciously you accepted the critique. I didn't realize you were just a hobbyist and self-taught! As I said, you did most of this SO WELL! Definitely for the most part impressive. 😺 You don't necessarily have to play an actual stringed instrument, you can still use synthesizers (I assume you did for this song?). Depending on the editing program & soundfonts, you can usually find or create variations of the sounds with more, or less, of a fade-in. So in such cases, you simply tell it to fade in faster (or have no delay, if that still sounds good, though some softness might still be needed). Or if you're unable to, then sometimes placing the notes just a tiny bit before the beat can sometimes work, so that the louder point happens closer to the beat (experimenting whether the notes should accordingly juuuust barely overlap, or just all be nudged to the left, for example 0.05 or 0.1 sec sooner). But in the end, you can figure out the best thing to do, especially since my own knowledge is patchwork, including secondhand from my sister Remixedcat (& her musical style is very unconventional 😸). You're accomplishing amazing things with your own determination! 😎 (And don't worry about your grammar, it was definitely good enough for me to "Determine" what you were saying~! 😉)

Those feel like they were unnecessary. If you're doing syncopations, it's usually to add some excitement to a song, to shake things up a little. But, when you take in this piece as a whole, it's going for a smooth vibe. This makes those accents seem out-of-place. In this particular case, my opinion is that they either shouldn't be here at all (it can jolt the listener out of the experience). Or, the syncopations should be committed to fully. Meaning they should have appeared in the intro measures as well, to ease us into knowing they would be there, so they don't shock us... And, they should have been carried through most of the whole song. Or at least, after taking a break in the middle, have it return one more time toward the end, such as 2:24 onward when the drums came back.
Since neither of these were done, it's like the syncopation just randomly showed up to cause a little chaos, then it got arrested and taken away halfway through the song. That makes it stand out more in an unpleasant way, at least to me.]]
These problems made it very difficult for me to commit to listening any more. But I persevered, and I'm glad I did! Because the timing feels much more correct for the rest of the song. The strings' fade-ins might be better aligned so that their loudest point now lands closer to ON the beat instead of AFTER the beat... Still not perfectly, but there are enough layers in the music to at least carry the momentum better, so it softens the blow and keeps things moving more smoothly. And since the extra syncopations are gone, it's easier to stay in the rhythm.
So from here on, it sounds very nice! And it all melds so beautifully together, that I can't remember which part is from which song now! It's such a mind-blowingly awesome experience, being lost between two of some of the best music pieces in the world, not knowing where one begins and the other ends! You found a beautiful harmony between both of these songs (well, all three since there's that little bit of the song from Undertale too).
It becomes glorious and epic! But also remembering its soft and fluffy roots, ebbing in and out of strong and gentle energy, to ease us to the end. A fantastic sense of balance, like the thrill of flying, then coming in for a gentle landing, with a few more strong but softening wing-flaps before settling back to the ground.
What an amazing piece! I just wish the first "verse" had tighter timing on those lead (melody) strings. To me, that's an objective mistake that makes it hard to listen to an otherwise beautiful, gorgeous, wonderful song... But I'll try to get used to it. Because the rest of it is so good and I don't want to miss out.
Thank you for your hard work. You have astounding talent. Just tighten up your timings, make sure the parts fit with the whole, and you'll make perfect music.
Im really glad to get helpful advices. Not something of sarcasm, REALLY i needed some comments about the music. Actually im not majoring in music, and all the music are just hobby for enjoying myself. When i need some knowledges, i can find some information on googles or youtube, but there were no one who feedback my musics. And now here you are. Really appreciate it.
The syncopation, yeah you are right. It have should be used just for once maybe at the end of the first verse. It's a little embarrasing to say, but when i was making this job, i was so excited of this idea. I could not control my emotion, so i used syncopation at the middle of verse, and... you know, i looped it. Now, after watching your advice, i get it. You are right. It have should not be in the music, or should be just once.
And, im so sorry to make you difficult to hear the part of strings. I really dont know how to play a violin, or other strings, and that means i dont know the way i should not do. Its really sad, maybe i can modify and reupload it for you and other people.

You don't necessarily have to play an actual stringed instrument, you can still use synthesizers (I assume you did for this song?). Depending on the editing program & soundfonts, you can usually find or create variations of the sounds with more, or less, of a fade-in. So in such cases, you simply tell it to fade in faster (or have no delay, if that still sounds good, though some softness might still be needed).
Or if you're unable to, then sometimes placing the notes just a tiny bit before the beat can sometimes work, so that the louder point happens closer to the beat (experimenting whether the notes should accordingly juuuust barely overlap, or just all be nudged to the left, for example 0.05 or 0.1 sec sooner).
But in the end, you can figure out the best thing to do, especially since my own knowledge is patchwork, including secondhand from my sister Remixedcat (& her musical style is very unconventional 😸).
