I thought her limited body movement made it more realistic like it was someones wedding for real and not a movie wedding with super-fit dancers. I know that was not intentional, but I really loved this music video for it.
You noticed that ! The director knew each and every details of sikh wedding ceremonies in those days and we used to bring beddings from gurudwara and he used it very wisely.. the videography of this is very much real of 70s . That ball bottom fashion and saif ali khan sikh look he really nailed that role .. the only bollywood hero who can fit in sikh role is saif ali khan

Honestly I thought she was Indian, really I did. And if the whole point of her acting is be a shy girl, then she's doing it right! I thought the dance, even though it did look awkward, it goes well with her character because she is shy and probably didn't venture off much as a child. And since this was probably her first Hindi movie, of course she's not going to be the same as other actresses who have had years of experience. So please, cut her some slack, it's not the end of the world.

So then why couldn't they just hire an actual Punjabi girl for the role? Nothing against the actress, but it sucks that whoever cast for the movie got someone of a completely different nationality and language to play the role. There are thousands of Punjabi girls in the world...why overlook them?
