The Maya deserve more representation in pop culture but I would never complain with the Aztecs they are just too cool. However Mayan worriors during the Star Wars were actualy far more lethal than the Aztecs during their Flower Wars. Aztec Jaguar & Eagle warriors were focused on capture for sacrifice not explicit killing which was seen as clumbsy and unskilled. The Maya however during certain periods like the Star Wars were brutal and kingdoms were hell bent on conquest and destruction of one another as well as deposing rival Ajaws and replacing them with puppets. Evidence of seige towers where found and mass battles where killing, not capturing was the focus, you know convetional warfare. The Maya are underrated they arent just Astronomy nerds & Architects 😂. EDIT: A shame their civilazation is mid in this game.
Fun Fact: Siyaj K'ak (Fire Is Born) Might not have been ethincally Mayan. He was most likely a noble from Teotihuacan who lead his army south and conquered Mutul(Tikal) and established a mixed Mexican/Mayan Dynasty in 378 AD and leading Mutul to become the strongest Kingdom during the Classic period until the rise of Ox Te Tuun(Calakmul) aka The Snake Kingdom.

It is quite clear that this game has a problem with the Persian civilization... because the greatest and most complete civilization of ancient times was Persian with the kingdom of Cyrus the Great and King Xerxes and the rest of his great commanders... and I feel sorry for the creator of this game
