People sometimes forget The Russians beat The Americans in The Space Race during The 1960's. They also invented The ICBM too. The Russian Federation intends to build a total of 9 Nuclear Ice Breakers last I heard. Besides Russia, no other country has developed one yet.
the length of the trip where the cargo ship needs the icebreaker to lead the way is crucial to the economics of the transport, because if it is too long, the added huge expense of operating the icebreaker may make the cargo ship uneconomical. I assume the icebreaker service per mile will cost a ton of $, it will not be free, right?
I remember way back in the early 80's the Danube froze and two icebreakers came from the USSR to crush the ice for the commercial ships to keep going, Danube didn't freeze for more than 40 years
Normally I would be interested in this, but keep dreaming Russia. In a couple of years you won't even be able to build a modern washing machine. Oh wait, you can't even do that now. LOL
Interesting fact - this comment wrote bot :D There are thousands of them under any channel and they write similar sentences, like "ruzzian propaganda". US citizens are "happy" to see how they paid own taxes on this.

You’re right, it’s an important factor.
Russia icebreaker are equipped with mini nuclear reactor with make them so economical than former icebreaker which were powered by fossil fuel.
@@joyaku3078 Yes, but still many times more expensive than a slow cargo ship in no need of icebreaker.

Awesome
What about the innovative icebreaker design by Yury Chashkov?

The ship is gone, sunk by Ukraine.
No it wasn’t. You’re so full of shit. Ukraine’s puppet masters would not allow it to attack a NUCLEAR icebreaker.
