Great and proper comparison of the two phones, very detailed. Impressive performance from the 7+gen2 chip making the regular F5 a good deal imo. Well done on the great review
If I had the money, I would pick the Poco F5 since it is cheaper and I don't really need wireless charging since I would have to buy a wireless charger which means more expenses. The display might be 1080p, but all I ever really want on a phone is a high refresh rate display and I'm actually amazed how powerful Snapdragon 7 Gen 2 is. Lastly, the back design of the F5 is just phenomenal compared to the f5 pro

I'm definitely impressed with both phones, but will say the Poco F5 Pro has really taken several steps up with the Pro series by adding 2k display and wireless charging. I don't think there are any other phones under $450 that can claim those two specs. Heck not even my upcoming Oneplus 11 has wireless charging. So Oneplus has no excuses now. A little perplexed that the cheaper F5 seems to have smaller bezels and better main, selfie, and digital zoom cameras though. Hopefully an update will smooth some of the rough edges out. Ultra wide, portrait, and night modes look pretty solid though.

Unless you gotta have wireless charging and the 2k display, I think the regular Poco F5 is the better deal here. Even the I thought the cameras on the F5 Pro were actually good, I thought the F5 main, selfie, and digital zoom cameras decidedly outperformed the F5 Pro. Night mode and portrait weren't great, and ultra-wide was good but not great, but overall I was impressed with the main camera systems. 67 watt fast charging is especially nice at under $400.
@@ShaferHart I feel like I've seen both take good pictures, but do recall being disappointed that the Pro seemed to take worse pictures than the regular F5 main sensor. Great in depth review. 10/10 this is awesome. I know this is in depth because been using Poco F1 since early days, and upgraded to K50 Gaming last year and had a blast with it ever since. F5 and Pro is definitely a minor upgrade still. 😅
As a devoted fan of Poco, I've been using the Poco F3 for nearly two years, and during this time, I've experienced remarkable performance with no noticeable issues. However, about two weeks ago, I encountered an unexpected setback when my device abruptly shut down. In an attempt to troubleshoot, I purchased a new battery, suspecting a possible battery-related problem. To my surprise, after consulting with a technician, it was determined that the underlying issue lay with the motherboard, shedding light on a more complex challenge than initially anticipated.
In Mainland China, it's being called 'Redmi K60', basically a flagship series of Redmi. That's why u can get 2K Amoled Screen, 30W wireless charging and Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 processor from this phone at relatively affordable price.
Hi, not sure if my comment will be read or even replied duirng this stage. I bought the Poco F5 Blue 12GB 256GB variant after doing much research for a month. Bought it during 11.11 during a flash sale for about the equivalent of USD 300. The funny thing was I upgraded from the previous Poco flagship the F3 which I had for 2 years and unfortunately I lost it last month during a train ride. But oh well.. I was also previously a Poco F1 user which I had for 4 years. So I can safely say that I am a Poco user veteran having used all the odd numbered Pocos. LOL I was seriously contemplating this phone with the Nothing 1 phone as I am a huge fan of Carl Pei's take of Android and his Oneplus legacy. The Nothing 1 phone is just one of a kind. But in the end the flash sale of the Poco F5 gets the vote from my wallet. So far this phone has been very smooth and a joy to use. I am used to MIUI so the interface familiarity is there. The SD 7 Gen 2 really feels fast and snappy for anything thrown at it. I have disabled all the ads from MIUI so now the phone is totally ads free, which get rid of 1 sore point of MIUI. I don't game on my phone so the gaming performance of the phone isn't that relevant to me. What surprised me was the comeback of the 3.5mm jack! Great to reuse my corded earphones left lying in my cabinet after I switched to the F3 from F1. Just that from the F3 there were some downgrades at least on paper, like the 360hz to 240hz touch sampling rate, and apparently the camera sensors are using Omnivision sensors instead of Sony sensors. But it doesn't feel like a downgrade in real world experience. I am not sure if GCAM at this point is an improvement to the stock camera. Can you advise if this is so? And which build should I use? I also missed the ''Clear Speaker'' feature of the F3. I am not sure why Poco didn't retain this feature to help clear dust from the dual speakers. My humble feedback :)

Definitely I would go for F5 than F5 Pro since it got headphone jack, more bezeless, newer chipset, slightly cheaper, more than enough performance overall for me. F5 Pro obviously good, with more and great features. For me, F5 is enough.
@@LaurenceGough Bruh they won't replace it for free. My friend's X3 Pro was dead and when he went to the service centre, they asked him to replace it for a huge amt even though his phone was under warranty.
I cant understand why Xiaomi keeps their lower end smartphones looking much better than higher end one. Base F5 looks much more polished with that flat frame and much nicer looking bezels, even the color and design on the back look much better, even camera cutouts. Would like to see gpu comparison between 7 gen 2+ and 8gen 1
11:30 why no glass reflection in F5?
Definitely I would go for F5 than F5 Pro since it got headphone jack, more bezeless, newer chipset, slightly cheaper, more than enough performance overall for me. F5 Pro obviously good, with more and great features. For me, F5 is enough.
Yup, if the pro have headphone jack, I'd go for that instead.
are this phone worth to upgrade from poco f3
and which want i need to buy
How's the MIUI OS? Still has bloatware?
Considering motherboard, display, and few more problems, I will consider 4-6months waiting , 😅 for global reaction, then i would buy after an update.
You get full warranty anyway.
@@LaurenceGough Motherboard dead isn't covered in your warranty and they charge a huge chunk of money to replace it
@@rahuloberoi9739 it would be under UK law. It wouldn't hold up in the legal system.
@@LaurenceGough Bruh they won't replace it for free. My friend's X3 Pro was dead and when he went to the service centre, they asked him to replace it for a huge amt even though his phone was under warranty.
@@rahuloberoi9739 that's what the legal system is for. You take them to court then
I cant understand why Xiaomi keeps their lower end smartphones looking much better than higher end one.
Base F5 looks much more polished with that flat frame and much nicer looking bezels, even the color and design on the back look much better, even camera cutouts. It basically looks much better in every area.
Almost same goes to Xiaomi 13 and 13 Pro. Regular 13 looks monumentally better, more advanced than 13 Pro in every area except back side, they are basically same on the back.
Making a lower end phone better looking doesnt make sense
mean while Samsung and Apple are discussing about removing the sim ejector from the box
Good comparsion and very comprehensive
Huh? Why not 8+ Gen 2? 😅
Still rocking Pocophone F1 till this day 🤘
Is the difference on screen noticeable? I care for Netflix and movies
what is your home screen date and time widget?
@TeckNick: Why don't you compare the sound?
Thank you so much❤❤❤❤❤
My 3yrs F2 pro still working fine even the battery still can handle longer a day, the only problem for me is 128gb and mono speaker... will wait for next gen then 🙂
Hello fellow phone owner 🙂❤️
It's currently on sale for £379. For the price, should I buy now or later? Or wait for F4 price deal? Thanks!
