Its cheaper to make your own. My son is a competitive swimmer and makes his own vitamin C spray. Vitamin c breaks the chlorine bond and is the key ingredient in swim spray. Google DIY swim spray for details . Happy swimming.

Teaspoon of sodium ascorbate per cup of water and light wash cloth or spray. I buy bulk SA on eBay $25 for two pounds. What is this stuf? Vitamin C and some baking soda. Very cheap and effective.

i have a weird looking red rash on the side of my upper leg, and i was wondering if there is a cure. i dont know if its because of the bathing suit or not, but it happens every time i get out of the pool.

First try changing your bathing suit. Once I had a rash in an area, it would disappear until I went swimming again, try doing what I have done, change the soap you wash the area with and any lotions you apply. Reduce how often you go swimming. Thanks for watching and your comment.

Wow, watching my hives inflammation fade day after day until they completely vanished was such a relief, I went with what I pointed out and within the first 10 days or so the urticaria/angioedema was barely visible! I just go'ogled the latest by Shane Zormander and after 20 days my skin has never been healthier!

I have to swim at school everyday and I’m beginning to have red rashes and bad itching is there a way for my skin to get use to the chlorine?

there is only one true cure - switch to a salt water pool. does not sound like you have that option as it sounds like you are on a team. bottom line, some people already have or develop skin sensitivities to chlorinated water (pool level chlorine not shower level). i have slowly had to dwindle my swims down to 2 per week and now one per week in a regular pool. this really is no good cuz at 58 year old it is a great all around exercise. currently i have itchy rash as i type. i went to a naturopath and she prescribed something to rid body of parasites that are out of whack and to knock off swimming for 2 months. i had other issues re the parasites but the body duress for other reasons means the immune system is weak and can't necessarily deal with the chlorine in the pool - so it comes out as a rash. I would recommend really looking in to your diet if switching to a salt water pool is not possible. Your diet may not be up to snuff and you may be missing vitamins, minerals etc that would give your body the ability to deal with the chlorine. like i said, it is just "bad luck" of the draw that your skin could be sensitive and there may be nothing you can do about it. You can try ascorbic acid rinses or TriSwim but I just found it was literally pouring $$$ down the drain. Hopefully looking at your diet and strengthening your immune system will get you back on even keel. Good luck. for me -- i am heading to a salt water pool to see if that will allow me to keep swimming as a form of exercise.
