      I think opposites can attract, but I think when you bring two people who have very few things in common, especially at such an age where you are confident in what you like, it is easier to want somebody that you can relate to more. After all, who wants to debate their stance on everything with their spouse 24/7? I would be exhausted. 😂 Good try, though.

    • @h3834

    • @drgnfrc13
      @drgnfrc13 6 років тому +8

      I don't know what the perspectives are like in other countries, regarding what makes someone white, brown, or black, but in America, this woman will never be seen as a white person. The only people in America who I could see calling this woman white would be far-leftists who'd seek to invalidate her experience as an ethnic minority by saying she has "light-skinned privilege." In that sense, she'd be facing racism from multiple sides (which is something I've been through, myself, as a half-black, half-white person).

      Except.....he didnt actually tell her this. He told the camera about these bad qualities before she showed up

  • @bellawitz85
    @bellawitz85 6 років тому +92

    He may be a narcissist, but he's self aware...that's no small feat, it inspires self change. I've met many narcissists who didn't even know they were acting a certain way which was throwing people off. He seemed down to earth, and honest almost to a fault (super rare). Fully aware of what he wants, and his self awareness led to him saying things in a way that were careful not to hurt her feelings.
    She was a sweetheart, passionate, and you can tell she has a protective part of her she shows to only those she cares about. Because of her struggles growing up, whether she realizes it or not, she doesn't seem to settle for anything other than what will make her happy. If she's not happy, she's gone. Most people stick around things that make them unhappy, because they're not capable of drawing clear lines. She should be proud of this part of her, it's one of her strengths. It also likely makes the relationships she has, pure gold. If you're lucky enough to be a person she has in her inner circle, she'd move mountains for you.
    I really like watching the interactions between people. :)

      Being aware that you are a bad person isn't a mitigating factor until it actually, demonstrably results in change. Until then, it's not a source of brownie points. If anything, being a bad person and knowing it yet doing nothing to become better makes you even worse.

I've learned that most of the time, when we label someone, esp a man, as sexist, it usually turns out to not be true after getting to know them.

      By the way your name is I could tell you why rap. And if you want to assume that music describes a person I see you as a drug dealer that beats woman. Because that's what rappers do in 2018. I listen to a whole bunch of different music, it doesn't indicate my life though. I can go from wanting to listen to Green Day to wanting to listen to Beethoven. I can go from wanting to listen to Drake Bell to wanting to listen to Selena ( not Gomez). Music does not indicate how a person is.

    • @pachak437
      @pachak437 6 років тому +10

      Augusto Polloni Controlling parents can scar their children for life. Their unreasonable expectations and manipulative ways can instill self- doubt, anxiety and frustration in kids. He does say that he is a megalomaniac, right? Also a narcissist.
      So even though I know that it isn't my place, he really came off to me as someone who would constantly try to change your mind about something important to you. And this is toxic. Both to the partner and the kids. Some people, with their constant need to defend their egos and their blunt rejection of anybody's views different to theirs, are toxic. Really toxic. When they make you feel stupid every chance they get, it destroys you as a person.
      But like you said, I might be wrong. He might turn out to be a good father and I earnestly hope that you are right.

    Its amazing how delightful and warm people can be when they are truly themselves, no excuses. This lady beams with light and happiness, but this guy is too busy looking for flaws and ways that they dont connect, that he's not only missing out on the joy that is this lovely woman, but diminishing his own light when he could shine just as brightly. Im sure he's just not nearly as comfortable with who he is as she is.

    Wow! I found him strangely attractive. Like a male version to my female version. The difference being he acknowledges freely, and is self-aware enough, to tell us he is self-absorbed and narcissistic(I have been told by some family members I have these tendencies). I get that as a musician, certain types of music are just absolute no-go's. For example, my classically trained violin teacher could not listen to Jazz 'Manouche' or Jazz violin, she missed the structure. Barbara is such a sweetheart. Being latina growing up outside of latin america, I can relate with the difficulties of fitting in. Her love of House could come from her emotional association to hearing that music at the place she 'finally' felt accepted and welcomed. Two sweet people coming from different perspectives but able to meet half way and not hurt each others feelings. This was great. I wish them the best, respectively. Peace.

    AGT is a master at making sappy stories the hook even though there is no Extraordinary talent behind the contestant. That's exactly how I feel with Barbara. I won't fall for her sad "I want to find love that don't judge me" tears. The subject about sex (both in the bedroom and the "talk" with children) just told me everything I need to know about her.
