Years ago I heard a quote. It said that once you become a parent, you become the ghost of your childs future. That quote stuck with me. Everything I ever am or do isn't for me, it's the me that my kids will remember.
Like most hunters, as I mature I realize I'm not just out there to kill an animal. I am constantly making new memories and experiencing things that I wouldn't if I was at home. That's why it seemed so important for me to share that experience with my family.
This is my third year sharing spring black bear camp with Ledoux's T'n'T outfitting and guiding in McCreary, Manitoba.
Black bear hunting has always been a dream of mine. Coming into this week I thought of it as a once-in-a-lifetime experience, but I cannot let that be. I am addicted and cannot wait until my next opportunity to hunt them.
