Toppers in Concert is an annual concert series by The Toppers, held in the Johan Cruyff Arena in Amsterdam since 2005 and with more than 40 sold-out shows it is the longest-running concert series in the Benelux. At the tenth edition in 2014, they’ve welcomed their two-millionth visitor. They once hosted a Christmas edition in Rotterdam Ahoy! Their repertoire consists mainly a mix of covers and original material and every year the concert has a different theme and the guest are asked to dress accordingly and boy! they do. I’ve been to almost every edition and it’s a party whether you like the music or not, it is like standing in a huge bar/club and everyone around you is having a wonderful time! I can tell you from my own experiences that the after-parties are epic with lots of jamming as they will all start to sing with the band playing at the party!

Fun fact: at 8.25 the camera catches a man with spectacles waving - he is our Prime Minister.

Its a sing-a-long concert that happend for a few days every year before The Covid, The Arena ( Johan Cruijf stadium ) holds between 55/60.000 people per concert, and they have had some world stars from all over the world as guest performance and ofcourse our local artists. They might be corny but its always a party, and apperently plenty of people need this otherwise they wouldnt be selling out every concert each year. Been there a few times myself even tho Dutch music isnt really my thing, i did have an awesome time and loved the english sing-a-longs! Hugs from The Netherlands 👍❤😄

Each night there are 50.000 People attending the concert. Every year there is a theme, that why yoy saw all those People Dressed up. Every year they have guest stars and the music is really varied. All kinds of musicstyles are passing by. Its just such a party, love it. I try to go every year. Hopefully next year there will be a toppers concert again. Thanks for your great reaction💕

Whether you like this or not , music is still music at it's core. And this binds us , almost everyone is somehow touched or moved by it. Taking away the personal feelings about this or taste in liking , "De Toppers" do this every single year. The professionalism that is needed from everyone involved to deliver such a show and performance is to be commended. Now , personally... They needed to grow on me. But they did. They are giving the audience an unique experience. They bring different themes and dress codes to every single concert. And the shows sell out almost every single time. No matter the formation they are in , they deliver! The point that HxC brings up that for a moment in time you can forget all of your personal worries and unite is part of this amazing experience. And those memories will resonate and will become powerful thing to look back on in times of difficulties or rejoice. The magic of Music , no matter the genre... To quote ome Henk Poort: " Al's het goed is , is het goed. Punt! "

I actually attended this concert. They got big screen showing the lyrics above the stage, making it easier for people to sing along. Seems like fun was their goal, succeeded much.

I went a few years ago to a Toppers in Concert show. It was fun. Yes it was corny, but that you know on forehand. Just a fun night out with. Everything is 'over the top'.
