I seriously never thought to crochet with jute, what a great idea! Such a pretty idea for those that love this look of decor for their bathroom. Thank you Crystal for showing us new ideas! You and your brain 🧠 is always working over time! Your AMAZING with such a creative gift.
There are so many different types of materials you can use for crochet! Twine, leather, Raffia, Sisal, string, even some light weight pliable soft wire you would use in jewelry making, just to name a few, oh and I can't forget good old "plarn" which is plastic yarn from grocery bags! So many different materials can and have been used to make crochet items, the sky's the limit. One great place to find materials is in your local hardware store! One really good resource is a book called Uncommon Crochet by Julie Armstrong Holetz. Happy hooking!!
Where can you find jute?
@@katienelson8015 Most DIY stores like Lowes, Home Depot, Ace Hardware would be a good place to look, also I have found some in my local Dollar Tree stores and I am sure online if you do a search in your browser you will be able to locate places to put an order in and have sent to your home. I have specifically gone to my local Home improvement/hardware stores and found some great materials to use for crochet items for inside and outside the home decor to crochet with Hope this helps....

This is so cool! My friends and I are really into makeup so we do alot of removal and face washing. This is going to be their Christmas gifts this year. We can use the cloths not only for washing but for toner application with skincare routine. Or micellar water. I love that they're reusable. So we can step away from disposable cotton pads. Better for the earth.

I have little cotton wipes like that that I wash my face with each evening. I love the idea of making a basket for them!
My teenage granddaughters will love this. And I do have balls of jute I use it to wrap homemade soap products I make. I will do the scrub cloths in different colors so they know which ones belong to them . A beautiful bathroom gift. Thank you for sharing this.

So adorable! I love the jute w the creamiesh color. If you make the little squares in black they are amazing for taking make up off (never stains them!) or even wiping anything up. Highly recommend it!

Outrageous what a great idea!!! You can bring as a house gift especially if you don't know the color scheme, it's better than a bottle of wine the wine goes the basket and little wipes last. You can bring to a friends as a dinner gift. Your talent and creativity never ceases to amaze me. And so easy to do Beginners go for it all sc and you have a beautiful gift or one for yourself. Sweet! And the easiest project ever since the whole thing is made with only single crochet stitches! I love working with jute since my early days of macramé. I also have been using it to reinforce the handles of my crochet scrap baskets so that they can accommodate weight. I weave the jute in so that it doesn’t show.. Thank you for this tutorial!

I was going to say Paint The Town was my favorite but then when you got to the end and pulled out Cinnamon & Spice ….WOW🤩 yup, Cinnamon & Spice is definitely my favorite! lol absolutely love the colors and shading.
I still love mine, I put my wash clothes in it, and get compliments on it, if you have tinder hands use something else than jute (it’s rough), I love mine, Crystal is such a good teacher.
For sure, I made my holder circular with cotton yarn. Made the pads in cotton varigated, solid circular basket.

Thank you for another cute and easy pattern! I first tried the basket with two strands of cotton yarn...mistake, too floppy, my bad. So I admitted the error of my ways and bought some jute, actually ran across it in the wrapping paper isle at hobby lobby. Anyway, a MUCH better result! I added a crochet puff flower. This is a cute gift idea, hope my sister likes it!
