When I get up at the morning and trying to become fresh after sleeping, I watch this video. It has some harmony and sets rhythm of life. Thanks you guys!
Yes, this is a lovely song to bring up one's mood and I love to listen to it despite how I am feeling. It's definitely one of my favorites produced by Jófríður and I have probably listened to over 100 songs of hers.
Cool. It has something retro, 90's, and something very authentically!!!!! Respect!!!! The first time who I heard this voice, I thought that is björk (a great singer, great artist), but now I see an own class, an own character. Respect!!!!!
i dont really see the similarity between her voice and bjork's, sure they're both icelandic but that's about as far as i would compare them, is there a particular song of bjork's in which she sounds similar to jofridur (this singer) that you can point out?
I think it’s unfair to compare every Icelandic artist to björk, she is her own thing, they are their own thing… they just happen, by chance, to come from the same country
I second this. Fewer than 100,000 views after over 4 years on UA-cam, I think that's just ridiculous while songs like "Bodak Yellow" receive views that are in the hundreds of millions. Perhaps a better advertising campaign is needed to increase the band's exposure, or perhaps more community involvement? Either way, I think the main reason why there are so few views is simply due to the fact that there is a lack of exposure, UA-cam is not recommending the song to many people because it is so unique and not similar to what most people listen to, leaving it in the shadows of mainstream music that will receive all the attention, but that doesn't mean that they are necessarily good songs either.
No sé por qué, pero me da una leve reminiscencia al álbum Moctezuma de Porter, aunque no tienen nada que ver siento algo similar. Por cierto ¡Está fabulosa esta canción!
I agree, there is lots of good music for a country with a population that is barely in the hundreds of thousands. Thanks to them for having a culture that is so helpful in nurturing the music scene that keeps on giving.
He/she is saying ... I love, mjá. Mjá can be translated to saying yes with a added personality related quirk that indicates that the person is a cat lover or relates itself to being a bit of a cat at heart, furry nice or sometimes it's just humor and movie quoting. So this one just said mjá and that is what cats do and in Icelandic já is yes. I love, mmmmmYes... so it translates to I love this song , ohh yes mjá yes-ing in this setting kinda indicates a purring cat very sensual in it's display of approval of the song in question. Hope this helps. Blessed be

Are you Icelandic? How did you take advantage of those lyrics? Did you just enter them into a translator and hope for the best? I tried that and the results were grotesque.

False, the video is only 3m 52s, therefore it is impossible for any of the frames to 11:59 or 12:01 as they are beyond 3:52, which is the length of the video.
Other than the fact that they both have Icelandic accents I don't see the similarities between the two artists that people just keep on bringing up, they always simply say things along the lines of "sounds like bjork" but never elaborate which is annoying. I personally prefer the voice of Jófríður but they both have great voices. Jófríður was inspired by Bjork, but there music is vastly different from what I can tell.
It appears to be correct. I noticed it as well. And green eyes are not that common in Icelandic people that I would expect to see 3 green eyed in a room together if there would be 10 persons or less in the room. Blue. Grey. Various brown tints And brown/green (combo that is called móeygð for female and plural móeygðar and móeygður for male, plural móeygðir. Maybe hazel in english Í think )Is more common than green and yellow/sand eyes.

Her voice resembles Bjork, do you agree?
it's the icelandic accent! is the best imo

wait wait.. are they all three green-eyes ?

Seems like Aslaug's colour more probably grey or grey-blue. But "the sorceress" and "the wizard" both green for sure.
english lyrics?
