Forestella is a South Korean crossover male vocal quartet that originated from the JTBC singing competition Phantom Singer 2 in 2017. The group, made up of Jo Mingyu, Bae Doo-hoon, Kang Hyung-ho, and Ko Woo-rim, has gained public recognition through performances on shows like Immortal Songs: Singing the Legend and various festivals. Their unique blend of genres and song choices has set them apart and earned them critical acclaim
"Time in a Bottle" is a folk rock song by American singer-songwriter Jim Croce. Released posthumously in 1973, following Croce's untimely death in a plane crash, the song originally appeared on his 1972 ABC album, "You Don't Mess Around with Jim".
This song was not originally released as a single; it was included as a track in the album. However, following Croce's death, ABC Records decided to release it as a single, and it soon became a chart-topper. In December 1973, it reached number one on the Billboard Hot 100 chart, making it the third posthumous chart-topping song in the US music history.
"Time in a Bottle" is about the theme of human mortality and the desire to have more time. It is widely regarded as Croce's most poignant and timeless song, and its introspective lyrics reflect on how people often wish they could save time and use it later. Croce wrote the song after finding out that his wife, Ingrid, was pregnant, and it was originally intended as a gift to their unborn son.
The song is characterized by its soft and gentle melody, with a fingerstyle guitar part that is integral to the song's soothing and reflective mood. Croce's sincere and heartfelt vocals also add to the emotional resonance of the song.
"Time in a Bottle" has had a lasting cultural impact and has been covered by numerous artists over the years. It has also been featured in various films and TV shows, helping to cement its status as a classic of the folk rock genre. The song's introspective theme and timeless quality continue to resonate with listeners even decades after its release.

Of course, Forestella put their own stamp on the song. I think to combine the classic folk version of the song with rock was brilliant. I love this cover and their voices were amazing as always!

    Forestella - гении.

I'd love to see you react to the leader of the band, Cho Mingyu performing Balada para un loco, which is an Argentinian tango about a crazy man. Would love to hear your opinion on his delivery, since he has to embody a mad man - in Spanish. :))

I was thinking exactly the same thing. One of the most mindblowing and under-rated performance.

    Hi!
I’d like to recommend you a new crossover group from South Korea I discovered recently. It’s called “Forténa” with combination of four tenors(I’ve heard it’s the first crossover group with four tenors).
One of the members is a very famous count tenor(His name is DQ Lee and played in lots of operas all over the world).
When I heard their very much first cover song “Neaolis” and “Demain n’existe pas“ in a competition program, I had goosebumps everywhere.
I’m sure you would like it and I’d love to hear your opinion about their singing as a vocal coach!
Thanks and I always appreciate your all reactions!

I wish I liked this song but it's that one line where the lyrics don't scan. There's just one too many syllables in 'enough time' and it pains my ear..

Seeing that you have 37K subscribers, I assume that you know this already. Perhaps something happened to your video. The music in the video is too low. If I raise the volume to hear it properly, and then you speak, I get blown out on volume. The volume needs to be either equal or higher than your volume level. Thank you.
