I love the royal blue ottoman with the cognac or chocolate colored sofas. I prefer the first sofa- a bit more classic and higher back which might be more comfortable for lounging. Lovely vlog and you and your mother’s relationship!

Your declaration of independence! I like seeing you pick yourself up and go on with life. You're an inspiration. Also, 24:48, the sectional that isn't symmetrical, I have a sectional like that and there's a huge divot/dent/gap between the two pieces, even though they lock together. I'd look for something that will not get a dent where the 2 pieces meet.

Yay! I've missed your vlogs! I love seeing you interact with your mom. She's so European. I agree with your mom on the bag. It's just more interesting, versatile & unique!!! That ottoman is dreamy. FWIW, I preferred the first leather sectional you showed. Very classic & versatile. In my experience, the second style would show wear faster bc of the style of the backs, also it looked as though the two pieces weren't attached?

Love your vlogs! I prefer the first Article leather sectional, I think it looks more classic and cozy. The second one almost looks undone. Also really love the royal blue tufted ottoman. I’m sure whatever you chose you’ll style beautifully in your new home!

The reason I never feel inclined towards leather couches is that it gets really cold in fall and winter, being a resident of cold windy Chicago, that’s what my realisation is. Plus leather couches can be tricky. They can make a place very masculine. And also they are very pricey and over the period of time they tend to break down.
I have a a sofa from Article. It’s the Echo blue Spruce sofa. Beautiful, light, very modern. Doesn’t add extra bulk to my smaller home. The Belez one in yuma terra red and brass is beautiful. If you really want leather, go for the Burrard Bella in tan. It’s less bulky and would look light in a 700 sq feet space.

First sectional gets my vote. I got a nice round ottoman from The Bay in pink and they had lots of colours too. Happy belated Canada Day from Vancouver 🇨🇦
Look online all the leathers come in a sectional couch also. Measure carefully. Once you order a custom price from pottery barn they are not returable. I usually will tape the area on the floor to see how much space it will take. I have had good luck from pottery barn. You can order fabric and leather swatches online also.
First sofa, blue ottoman because if you have two teals in different undertones it could look weird together. I'd go complementary to make sure nothing directly clashes. :) I'm excited to see what you do with your new place!

So glad to see a new vlog. I love when you share your life! I like the high back sectional, unless of course it would block a view. Also, leather and kitty claws...yikes! If the sofa is real leather it will age well. Just be aware that some places market sofas as "leather" when it is actually bonded leather ( I sold furniture for years). I'm sure you know all of this already. You are fabulous!

Love that second couch! It is so simple, clean, and modern looking while still being very classic looking with that warm brown leather. I definitely picture some knitted blankets, some cream pillar candles, and some scotch and rocks waiting on a side table by a good book. And I love the deeper blue ottoman. Can you tell my house has a lot of deeper colors?😄 Love love love

Your relationship with your mom is goals! But I’m the mom in this equation & told my almost 21 year old she can stay forever!! In fact her dad & I just bought a house with 2 masters & hers is the only upstairs. She can be our princess as long as she wants. (She is in college & works when classes allow. )

Sofas with a low back can be very uncomfortable. Even with pillows there isn’t enough support in the back and will hit you in an awkward spot in your back. If you want a brown leather couch, I would do the teal / turquoise ottoman.
I'm just a huge fan of teal. My house might be a bit too matchy-matchy, but it has this calm feeling to it that I enjoy.

I like the teal one as it would match nicely with the brown couches. Also, might prefer the round version of the ottoman as the couches are already square/blocky (and so would be the shape of the room) so as to break up the shapes with soft curves etc. All looks lovely Elle. Happy shopping! x

Elle, it is so heart warming to see and hear it in your voice that you are doing well. Love the excitement of the prospect of decorating your new place as all of your picks so far look great and I have always loved watching your deco home projects. I was glad you showed the Smeg toaster and would like to know how you like it. I love my Smeg electric pot and have been wanting a toaster but haven’t decided. I use a unit that does everything from baking to oven frying to broiling but toasting takes a long time. Let us know how the toaster works and if it was worth the wait. Happy to see you and your mom. Just plain happy for you. Can’t wait for the fall apparel!!!
The couches are beautiful but I had a leather one and it was hard to get the pillows to stand up properly. I’m sure you can work with it though, maybe more textured ones would work fine. It’s nice to have a new chapter of your life open up ❤️
I like selection couch number 1. Sectional #2 is more your style. Sectional # 2 may be easier to sleep a guestt on since you have a 1 bedroom . I like the blue otoman. I just got a tufted Lorraine bench from PB for my bedroom, and I also love tufting.

Loved catching up with you Elle, you look especially beautiful and happy! I love a rather sectional, I find it adjusts to your body temperature and is great with pets that shed. I think the ‘Timber” sectional from Article may be more comfortable that the “mello” sectional. The Mello has quite a low back and I find it less comfortable when you want support for your back when watching a movie or sitting back, just a thought. I love the velvet ottoman, it would make a nice statement and contrast to the leather sectional. I’m excited to see your new apartment come together. Good luck with your studies!

The sofa isn’t my taste but it looks nice! Such a gorgeous ottoman though. I love the teal one. And my cat is a q-tip thief as well! I have to make sure I have the lid on or she will take off with them and lose them under the sofa 😆
