Anyone thinking about buying one just keep in mind, these watches overheat when on a call and yes it's very uncomfortable on the wrist. Today mine got up to 133°F🔥 on a 3 minute call.
I own 8 watches they all have overheating issues running about 102°F to 119°F (very uncomfortable while on a call🌡) but one more in particular the DM368🔥.
Yeah mate, I bought an LF16 & sent it back 2 days later after the Heart Rate Monitor overheated & stayed on leaving my wrist blistered. Then the replacement I purchased (based on the promise that they would thoroughly check it was functioning properly before shipment) did almost the EXACT same thing just didn't get quite hot enough to burn me this time around? I thought it might have just been me but now I'm thinking its a design flaw after reading this. Pity... there are a few Lemfo watches I planned on purchasing but now; I don't know?

If it had WiFi? What in the world makes you think it doesn't? Of course it has WiFi! That's how I access the Internet. It works with my router and even connects seamlessly to my phone when I make my phone a WiFi hotspot. Both the KW88 and Y3 FULLY support WiFi. Don't let anybody tell you different.

Hi, another great video. Something I always look for is........Can I replace the watch band? Can you please mention this in your reviews as leather isn't suitable for me and neither is rubber. I need metallic links band otherwise I get a irritation. These two watches are of interest to me so I ask for your comments on the possibility of band replacement.
I wish I could tell you otherwise, but all these Android watches have the antennas in the bands so they can't be replaced. We're all waiting for that. I snuck in a peek at a watch that hasn't been released yet that is headed in the right direction, but I'm not allowed to talk about it yet. You should have mentioned neither will answer the call on the watch unless Sim is installed. Unlike the Huawei watch(1) Wich you can answer a call simply by Bluetooth connection with your phone. Not super critical, but an important missing feature in both of these.

Most everyone syncs these tethering watches to their phones, and the watch gets its time from the phone. I don't have information on the time accuracy in standalone mode (no phone nearby).

Just touch the digital display when it's showing and your chosen watch face will appear. There's no way to make it default. That doesn't happen on the FINOW and No.1 watches. They open to the chosen watch face directly.

Personally, I think it is a very nice watch. All these watches will be replaced and discontinued by next year, so if you can get a good price, I'd say go for it.

OK, honestly? That's an obligatory link I put up at the request of LEMFO. They don't appear to have their act together on the sales end. That's why I've also invited Gearbest to support. I haven't heard from them recently, but I did call this to their attention shortly after the video went up. If they don't fix it soon, I'll pull the link.
How did you add so many faces in KW88? I cant do it, need a step by step instructions and in G+ saw a lot of good face but the installer to have no where to download. In update, which is a plus there is a bad faces and not so many.
If you have done the update on your KW88 where you have access to the bad faces in the plus button at the end, then you have lost the ability to install the custom faces. As I mentioned in the video, Kingwear removed custom faces in trade for giving the plus button for adding their own 'bad' faces. You can't get the custom faces back unless you flash the older firmware to the watch or if Kingwear does another update to give the feature back. I was reading somewhere where somebody said you could put the ClockSkin folder in the KW88 just like you do on the FINOW and No.1 watches and it will work for adding watch faces. No, Vincent, I can't because it's totally subjective. Couldn't tell you which is best Ford or Fiat or VW, either. OK, I could tell you not VW as you can't trust the software, but I don't know what to tell you about the watches. I'm going to do a video of my 5 favorites soon, but that's just me and my likes.

Vincent L Luong To answer most of your questions in one fell swoop, if the watch has the ability to use a SIM Card then 99 times out of 100 it will not be any good for tethering. There may be work around apps available for some models but to my knowledge, the flagship models of the brands you mentioned (Kingwear KW88, Finow X5+, Lemfo LEM5 & Xiaomi Amazfit) have tethering capability but don't allow you to use them as a Bluetooth Headset. That is to say you can't make or recieve calls to or from your phone on your watch, which is one of the primary functions of a tethering watch in my opinion. If you'd been paying attention to Mr Ticks reviews you would know this already but in your defence, no one said there would be a test... lol. The problem is phone manufacturers don't like giving software developers a free look at their coding in order to make certain features work. A prime example would be why 90% of the smartwatches available today don't have full functionality on an iPhone. So unfortunately, if you want a true "tethering watch" as it were, you may have to fork out for one of the big brand watches. Personally, I own a few smart watches (KW88, LEM5 & Amazfit included) & the one that out performs all others is my Samsung Gear S3. Its the only one that can make/take calls without needing to make use of its own Sim Card so, if thats what you're looking for, I can't recommend it enough. Alternatively, if you can hold off for a while there are some big goings on in the Smart Watch ecosystem in 2017. There are new processors making their way onto the market this year which makes for exciting times ahead. 😲👌👍 Keep your eyes peeled!
Hey Steven, just a little correction. There are several tethering watches with SIM capability as Dual Mode watches. The 99 out of 100 is if the watch is an Android watch. Then 99 out of 100 it will not be good for tethering. So which one is the 1 out of 100? We're still waiting for that one to be released to the market.

hi ticko can you do a Bluetooth compatibility with all the popular models please i can connect my Bluetooth keyboard to some of them but can we connect head phones if so which ones and will they blue tooth link with car hands free systems can you do some comparisons between watch models i currently own a kw88 , no1 d5 , no.1 g7, no1 g3 ,kw 18 i think the more versatile these watches become the more popular they become .. i think battery capacity. rom and compatibility with other gadgets are the most demanding needs of users more than anything else although they are good fun to wear but even better if they were redesigned more frequently and i think the magnetic charge plug is poor as the wires always seem to stiff and ifyou want to pick up your watch it falls off even on the No1 D5 clip on base charger dock which is my favourite watch
just to add to this i love them all as i am a true gadget lover and they are excellent value for the money and good fun and i have more pleasure with these watches than if i just bought one main line brand like *watch or *G or m*to etc.
I love them all, too. It is such fun discovering what they can do. Just been 5 days with one watch, the No.1 S9, trying to master this NFC thing because I know, now that it is out, it will start appearing in all the watches just like Bluetooth. NFC is a bit tricky, too. That review will be up soon.

It covers most of your questions Fanuel: ua-cam.com/video/hvOvGThb3i4/v-deo.html As for pure Android and Wear, the Wear OS, also created by Google, is honed for the watch environement, and thus adds features standard Android (targeted for phones) just can't do. They call these Wear widget things "complications". You can drop little buttons and data window on watch faces, for example. What you get with pure Android watches the you don't find on Wear watches is access to the thousands of Android apps fro the regular Google Play Store. Wear watches will only run apps designed for Wear, and there are significantly fewer on the market. Oh, and the Wear OS is tightly licensed by Google, and hence the significantly higher price tag for watches that run Wear and pay that royalty. Regular Android is pretty much open source and free to anyone, even China, to use as a foundation for their products.

You need to set up the tethering app in your phone, link it to your watch, and give it notification permissions in your phone. There should be videos on the Web for how to do that.
I would say; NONE. I have the KW88 and the No.1 D6 and they are both utterly useless. Nice looking but still useless. Battery life is horrible, functionality is horrible and you need the eyes of a hawk and very thin fingers and then still, esp. in the case of the KW88, entering your WiFi or Google password is still hell. I bought me an Apple Watch after that and, though it is too expensive, at least that is useful and practical. Even with normal eyes and fingers. Battery life is great too (at least 2 days for me). The other two watchews are wasted money because I don't use them. If you want cheap, buy a Colmi GT08. It works good and costs almost nothing. Just my 2 cents.

I'm as lost as your are, as I simply scroll down the languages lists to help folks like you identify watches that work in their preferred language. I don't make note of which watches support which languages though. I'm figuring the only way you will probably find it is to go through the videos one by one and find that part of the review where the languages are shown. I remember someone was looking for a smartwatch in the Dutch language and had the same problem.
Yes, but only if you have a SIM card in the watch that has WhatsApp tied to that phone number. You can't answer the WhatsApp on your watch for the app in your phone. WhatsApp needs a separate phone number on each device.
The round case itself of the KW88 is 47mm. Adding the extension for the camera and it's 48.3mm. Where the button sticks out it's 49.1mm. Overall length, metal to metal at the point where the band attaches is 55mm. Thickness of the KW88 is 14.9mm. I don't have the Y3 with me right now to check that one.

Zeblaze Thor S will probably come closest, though it doesn't hit all your requirements. Also check the Microwear H5 in silver.

You can use your phone adaptor or the USB on an airplane, just about any USB anywhere that would charge your phone will charge your watch.

Personally, I think it is a very nice watch. All these watches will be replaced and discontinued by next year, so if you can get a good price, I'd say go for it.

Straps are still fixed on all Android watches. That's where the antennas are located.
I just bought a Y3. However, I cannot download the fitness app from the mobile assistant QR code. It leads me to a dead link. Is there a work around for it ? I really need the app.
Try these in the Google Play Store and see if they will work. Try them one by one and uninstall one before installing the next due to Bluetooth conflicts between them:

You don't get the full 4GB for storage, only abut 1.3 GB or so on a 4GB watch. Add 4 GB to that for an 8GB watch.
I thought the Y3 was the newest, but the new GS01 I just finished checking out has a completely different heart rate monitor and software on it. That will be published in a few days.

OK, honestly? That's an obligatory link I put up at the request of LEMFO. They don't appear to have their act together on the sales end. That's why I've also invited Gearbest to support. I haven't heard from them recently, but I did call this to their attention shortly after the video went up. If they don't fix it soon, I'll pull the link.
How did you add so many faces in KW88? I cant do it, need a step by step instructions and in G+ saw a lot of good face but the installer to have no where to download. In update, which is a plus there is a bad faces and not so many.
If you have done the update on your KW88 where you have access to the bad faces in the plus button at the end, then you have lost the ability to install the custom faces. As I mentioned in the video, Kingwear removed custom faces in trade for giving the plus button for adding their own 'bad' faces. You can't get the custom faces back unless you flash the older firmware to the watch or if Kingwear does another update to give the feature back.

I was reading somewhere where somebody said you could put the ClockSkin folder in the KW88 just like you do on the FINOW and No.1 watches and it will work for adding watch faces. I haven't updated my KW88 so I can't test that. Can you?

No, Vincent, I can't because it's totally subjective. Couldn't tell you which is best Ford or Fiat or VW, either. OK, I could tell you not VW as you can't trust the software, but I don't know what to tell you about the watches. I'm going to do a video of my 5 favorites soon, but that's just me and my likes.

To answer most of your questions in one fell swoop, if the watch has the ability to use a SIM Card then 99 times out of 100 it will not be any good for tethering.
There may be work around apps available for some models but to my knowledge, the flagship models of the brands you mentioned (Kingwear KW88, Finow X5+, Lemfo LEM5 & Xiaomi Amazfit) have tethering capability but don't allow you to use them as a Bluetooth Headset. That is to say you can't make or recieve calls to or from your phone on your watch, which is one of the primary functions of a tethering watch in my opinion.
If you'd been paying attention to Mr Ticks reviews you would know this already but in your defence, no one said there would be a test... lol.
The problem is phone manufacturers don't like giving software developers a free look at their coding in order to make certain features work. A prime example would be why 90% of the smartwatches available today don't have full functionality on an iPhone. So unfortunately, if you want a true "tethering watch" as it were, you may have to fork out for one of the big brand watches. Personally, I own a few smart watches (KW88, LEM5 & Amazfit included) & the one that out performs all others is my Samsung Gear S3. Its the only one that can make/take calls without needing to make use of its own Sim Card so, if thats what you're looking for, I can't recommend it enough.
Alternatively, if you can hold off for a while there are some big goings on in the Smart Watch ecosystem in 2017. There are new processors making their way onto the market this year which makes for exciting times ahead. 😲👌👍

Hey Steven, just a little correction. There are several tethering watches with SIM capability as Dual Mode watches. The 99 out of 100 is if the watch is an Android watch. Then 99 out of 100 it will not be good for tethering. So which one is the 1 out of 100? We're still waiting for that one to be released to the market.

hi ticko can you do a Bluetooth compatibility with all the popular models please i can connect my Bluetooth keyboard to some of them but can we connect head phones if so which ones and will they blue tooth link with car hands free systems can you do some comparisons between watch models i currently own a kw88 , no1 d5 , no.1 g7, no1 g3 ,kw 18 i think the more versatile these watches become the more popular they become .. i think battery capacity. rom and compatibility with other gadgets are the most demanding needs of users more than anything else although they are good fun to wear but even better if they were redesigned more frequently and i think the magnetic charge plug is poor as the wires always seem to stiff and ifyou want to pick up your watch it falls off even on the No1 D5 clip on base charger dock which is my favourite watch
just to add to this i love them all as i am a true gadget lover and they are excellent value for the money and good fun and i have more pleasure with these watches than if i just bought one main line brand like *watch or *G or m*to etc.
I love them all, too. It is such fun discovering what they can do. Just been 5 days with one watch, the No.1 S9, trying to master this NFC thing because I know, now that it is out, it will start appearing in all the watches just like Bluetooth. NFC is a bit tricky, too. That review will be up soon.

As for pure Android and Wear, the Wear OS, also created by Google, is honed for the watch environement, and thus adds features standard Android (targeted for phones) just can't do. They call these Wear widget things "complications". You can drop little buttons and data window on watch faces, for example. What you get with pure Android watches the you don't find on Wear watches is access to the thousands of Android apps fro the regular Google Play Store. Wear watches will only run apps designed for Wear, and there are significantly fewer on the market. Oh, and the Wear OS is tightly licensed by Google, and hence the significantly higher price tag for watches that run Wear and pay that royalty. Regular Android is pretty much open source and free to anyone, even China, to use as a foundation for their products.

You need to set up the tethering app in your phone, link it to your watch, and give it notification permissions in your phone. There should be videos on the Web for how to do that.

I would say; NONE.
I have the KW88 and the No.1 D6 and they are both utterly useless. Nice looking but still useless.
Battery life is horrible, functionality is horrible and you need the eyes of a hawk and very thin fingers and then still, esp. in the case of the KW88, entering your WiFi or Google password is still hell.
I bought me an Apple Watch after that and, though it is too expensive, at least that is useful and practical. Even with normal eyes and fingers. Battery life is great too (at least 2 days for me).
The other two watchews are wasted money because I don't use them.
If you want cheap, buy a Colmi GT08. It works good and costs almost nothing.

I'm as lost as your are, as I simply scroll down the languages lists to help folks like you identify watches that work in their preferred language. I don't make note of which watches support which languages though. I'm figuring the only way you will probably find it is to go through the videos one by one and find that part of the review where the languages are shown. Yes, but only if you have a SIM card in the watch that has WhatsApp tied to that phone number. You can't answer the WhatsApp on your watch for the app in your phone. WhatsApp needs a separate phone number on each device.

What is actually the case size??
The round case itself of the KW88 is 47mm. Adding the extension for the camera and it's 48.3mm. Where the button sticks out it's 49.1mm. Overall length, metal to metal at the point where the band attaches is 55mm. Thickness of the KW88 is 14.9mm. I don't have the Y3 with me right now to check that one.
