Gotta love the fancy garage with a lift and a bathroom scale, haha. Good stuff!
@@justonemori haha thx
Somebody once told me rule of thumb is every 100 lbs shaved is .10 a second in the quarter. I took out almost 1,000 lbs from my old mazdaspeed3, car ran 12.8 the first time I ever ran it in the quarter, and by first time I mean my first time ever doing a launch.......weight savings is just as important as power
You're right
Yeah that’s right
Thanks for making this video bro. I have a similar 2020 GT A10 401a PP1 and I've been wondering how much those premium front seats weigh. Like you I heard numbers all over the place from 50lbs to 88lbs. Didnt know what to believe. I just haven't had time to go pull mine out and throw it on the scale. Appreciate the info!
Keep em comin excited to see where the car stands against the others as well. Also I think you should just boost this one 🤘 Hellion Twin turbs
Brakes, driveshaft, aftermarket, bumper supports, battery, A/C, and exhaust all helps
I was amazed at how much weight I saved when adding a carbon fiber driveshaft, light race rims, and lighter brake rotors on my 2020.
That’s next to come for mine
How much?
@@TheJMan1Kthe drag race rotors alone saved close to 1 pound each
@@videogazer801 very nice. My goal for my S550 is 3100 pounds or less race ready
"it good, it good, it should stay"

😂😂
Good luck Friday. Safe runs. We're playing tomorrow night so practice then bed. Cheers

If you got carbon fiber hood doors and trunk that's almost 200 lb then you go with your suspension wheels and brakes you can probably take off about 600 lb
Get some braum racing seats for the car! Better comfort and weight reduction.
I most likely will
Great video bro, thanks fro taking to time out of your day to help others out. Good luck on your next race bro
I had a 2001 WS6 6 spd,
Only took out spare tire, jack, and Back seats,,(30lbs.?)
Spinning way more from 1rst and 2nd gear.
The piece of pen and paper definitely helps!
Cool video! Congrats on 16K!
Thanks man!!
Thanks Stallion, your videos are very helpful. JR
Thanks for watching
Just found your channel n subbed. Keep up the good work and keep them videos coming!
Thanks bro will do!!
Probably better to keep anything in the rear trunk in place for drag racing. Helps keep traction to the rear tires. When I used to track often in rear wheel drive muscle cars I would put weights in the back and ice packs in the front ;)
Build a drag car with a Fox body shell, use a Kieth Black, or a Pat Musi race engine, maybe Procharge it or stick a blower on it with a top hat..........!!!.👍👍👍👍
Good video. I thought you may have tried to weigh the two dogs. Lol
Lmaoo they are fat ass hell
4:40 big jake with the 200+ burger
Can't wait till next video brother
Thanks brother
Hope it rips! Good luck!
What does your family do for a living? Lots of nice toys!
Resturant and Real Estate business
Barricade : WHY ARE YOU RIPPING MY GUTS OUT I THOUGHT WE WERE FRIENDS!!!
Me: I need a race car that can run 9s and schmack gtr’s
You ever replace the seats might be interested in buying the factory seats to put in my car
If you upgrade the brakes to some lighter better ones, change the drive shaft to a lighter one it’ll save you more rotation mass weight.
I have a carbon fiber one on it now!
@@ItalianStallion410 The Giro Disc PP1 2 piece front rotors weigh 24lbs each compared to the factory PP1 rotors that weigh around 33/34lbs. Right about 20lbs of rotating weight loss from the front of the car. The only downside is they cost about 1k for the front set.
@@jasonrogers4267 selling the 6 piston Brembos should make up for the cost? I have a bullet with a set.
Agreed 100%, always reduce rotating mass first, then the other misc stuff.
Not sure if you still have the down force side splitter on the gt500 bumper but take it off for drag racing. It creates drag. Pushes the front end down and actually slows the car down.
Yeah I wanted to but the bumper isn’t the best so it will make the other plastic parts stick out
First keep the work man
Yeah I’ve found that tape in the exact same spot
I’ve seen some people take out all the plastic panels in the rear seats and in the trunk to save some weight not sure how much it saved.
Yeah me to I don’t think that is really much
Question - did those euros already come slightly tinted or did you throw in some light tint on it yourself?
They have a smoked style
Don’t let Steve drive it down quarter mile 😂 jk steve
that's that new eco friendly tape made from soy that mice like to chew through. My neighbors new f150 wouldn't start because a mouse chewed through that tape in the engine compartment and chewed through the 1 wire that disabled the whole vehicle.
Damn that’s insane
I put corbaeu seats in my mustang gt. Now it doesn’t start. Did you or anybody have this problem?!
Really that’s weird
@@ItalianStallion410 Yeah
@@ItalianStallion410 It was my battery lol
@@robbyrob8349 😂😂
@@ItalianStallion410 Lol I solved the problem by jumpstarting it. The weird thing is that there’s a battery sensor in the mustangs that get triggered easily. When my mustang wasn’t starting, the screen said battery save mode. Jumpstarting the battery solves the problem lol
One bad ass S550🤟 you're looking at probably 0.14 with 117 lbs
Do u have a vid on getting rid of the rear seatbelt stuff
Yeah when I did my rear seat delete
11.2-11.5 should be where your at in the quarter definitely not gonna be 10s
lol ik idk why I said that I was high
@@ItalianStallion410 lol it's cool just wanted to make sure you expectations were realistic since mine ran 11.61 and there's just a few differences between our cars
If decent DA, high 10 low 11 @ 125-126 or so my predictions.
@@christophermorring9274 imo there's not enough weight pulled out of the car yet. Would need skinnies, the 10 speeds trans brake, and drag brakes to start getting into the low 11s to high 10s.
Your getting to the point to where your gonna have to put a cage in it.
There goes all the weight tight back in. Lol
lol right
Mid 10’s???? Cmon. That would shock me. Every 100lbs is a 10th. You have a foxbody. That should be the race car not the S550.
Yeah I shoulda said high 10s idk what I was saying
You selling your seats?
No
That tape guy at Ford is probably a stoner 😂😂
Prolly 😂😂😂
@@ItalianStallion410 you’ll be surprised how often I forget things 💀
