in dnb culture we have taken a staple from the reggae community known as a rewind. When you play a tune or pull offa mix that ha the crowd going absolutly mental, You pull a rewind, so that you can run that tune from the top and build the excitement for that particular track or mix. Rewind: A common term in reggae and dancehall music that is a request to "Bring that beat back"--to stop the song and start it over again. This happens in both live performances and when deejays are dropping records.
