Yayy to the director amazing idea and Keri did an amazing job executing it. It's not about she's better then Janet or TLC. It's the fact that she acknowledges how great they are as women. And basically saying these women are beautiful strong women. And they are and they're still known to this day.
ONLY keri could have done something like this... She nailed every look flawlessly... The T-boz look OMG I really felt like I was watching TLC making the creep video wow!! AMAZING!!!!!
Loved this as a kid but now as an adult I appreciate the hard work by production, director and keri. From concept to finish to now what a team of talented individuals that created a master piece that is loved by millions. I grew up with this damn 😭❤️
Sameee when i was 10-11 i use to get picked on that i was ugly, so i sung this song like 5 times in Music class I loved singing this song & i still love this song the age i am now.
This is an excellent idea by the director, Joseph Khan! Kudos to him. He (and Keri) really did show how the idea of beauty evolved through the ages, as well as a great homage video to the entertainers of yesteryears.
Janettttt Janettt Janettt lol! Janet held it down in 80s with the “Control” album and the “Rhythm Nation” album. Janet changed the music game of pop, r&b, rock, and brought about the new jack swing era. She set records and broke records. Aside from the iconic Janet Jackson. I love this video. I love the chronological order from decade to decade; 20s, 30s, 40s, 50s, 60s, 70s, 80s, and 90s. This video was well done. Keri did her thing in this video and did an amazing job paying homage to all the women that came “before” her.
go Keri you did a fantastic job on your video its not about been beautiful all the time its all been beautiful in the inside and outside and you did amazing job been Diana Ross and Janet and TLC AT once that's Rocking
i love how they did it but i also would have love to see a version of her portraying black women in television like first would be beulah for the 50s next would be julia for the 60s then a toss up of shirley from whats happening and thelma from good times for the 70s the 80s would be her as sandra from 227 denise huxtable from cosby show and the 90s she could be like gina from "martin"
For the 2000's; I would suggest that Keri Hilson pay tribute to one of the characters on "Girlfriends." So many people have said that "Girlfriends" was the black version of "Sex and the City." That comparison is just laughable. However, I do wish that there had been a crossover special between "Girlfriends" and "Sex and the City" as it would have been awesome to see Tracee Ellis Ross, Golden Brooks, Persia White, Jill Marie Jones, Reggie Hayes, Sarah Jessica Parker, Kim Cattrall, Kristin Davis, Cynthia Nixon, and Chris Noth interacting with each other.
I love this song as well as the video. I love the fact that she was Josephine Baker, Dorothy Dandrige, The Andrew Sisters, Diana Ross and The Supremes, Donna Summer, Janet Jackson and TLC. I was going hype at the end when she transformed into T-Boz. lol
I loved that she went right back to the all time great black females entertainers that paved way Josephine Baker ( her story was very sad ) but she was so sheek Dorothy Dandridge ( Her beauty was flawless ) Diana Ross ( Legend ) Donna Summer ( Gotta Love her ) Janet Jackson ( History maker ) T Boz from TLC ( Young black females setting the trend )
Keri Hilson is next in the line of Rihanna & Beyoncé, and i will be rooting for her, being there from the beginning of her career, she just rocks everyones world with her music and she brings something new to the table with this music video, not unlike other shit that's out there nowadays.
Follow Keri Hilson through the decades in the video for her single "Pretty Girl Rock," directed by Joseph Kahn. Keri transforms herself into women who have paved the way for black female artists, including Josephine Baker, the first world-famous African-American entertainer; singer Dorothy Dandridge; disco queens Diana Ross and Donna Summers; dance music legend Janet Jackson; and R&B trio TLC.
@newgirl2010 thank you lool and danm girl you reply fast... were both here to enjoy miss keri baby so ignore all the negitives and just listen to the pritty girl rock loool
MakiaShauntae 😂😂😂😂 take the W 😂😂 she wanted to put herself in the same category as all these legends but honestly if she wanted to do that then she should've been Beyoncé
Aye That T-Boz cut on her go extra fucking hard & on me I love her as much as Aaliyah. They're just real as fuck & have an essence about them. I love listening to Keri Talk.
@DizShaWTYcrUNK Donna Summer always wore purple and she had big hair. If you youtube starting over again you'll see she on a purple glittery dress for her time. So it's Donna, not Beyonce :) Plus Donna fits the timeline.
@liacashmere58 yup that's Diana ross, idk why people keep saying Donna Summer. People had me thinking I was wrong for thinking off the back it was Diana. But since Keri said it herself, I know that I was right.
I just wanna marry her...she is cool as hell, gotta chance to meet her when she came to my city to perform and man, she seems rare, confident and sexy but down to earth and just cool....luv da song too
That isn't Beyonce its Diana Ross. And Diana Ross came up with the big hair, and over the top diva image. Diana is Beyonce's idol and that's where Beyonce got that look from. Diana is a big time diva, Beyonce is sort of like a Diana of this generation.
Keri is gorgeous in all 7 looks, but Keri at the end, as herself, GORGEOUS! 😍
Yayy to the director amazing idea and Keri did an amazing job executing it. It's not about she's better then Janet or TLC. It's the fact that she acknowledges how great they are as women. And basically saying these women are beautiful strong women. And they are and they're still known to this day.
I love her when she smiles. She's just adorable. What else !!!???
ONLY keri could have done something like this... She nailed every look flawlessly... The T-boz look OMG I really felt like I was watching TLC making the creep video wow!! AMAZING!!!!!
She is absolutely gorgeous, and she will be forever❤️❤️❤️😍😍
Keri Hilson SLAYYYYSSSS IN ALL THOSE LOOKS and she is GONE WITH THE WIND FABULOUS
This video concept is iconic
she look so different in the 7 scenes
Best Director
she looks great in all the looks.
Loved this as a kid but now as an adult I appreciate the hard work by production, director and keri. From concept to finish to now what a team of talented individuals that created a master piece that is loved by millions. I grew up with this damn 😭❤️
I love it because when i was 10 years old kids used to always pick on me and this song makes me feel good go hilson go 😃
Sameee when i was 10-11 i use to get picked on that i was ugly, so i sung this song like 5 times in Music class I loved singing this song & i still love this song the age i am now.
OMG! she put TLC in this cool and she is very beautiful stop hatin u haterz
she's also trying to be a role model for us ladies to be more confident(:
This is an excellent idea by the director, Joseph Khan! Kudos to him. He (and Keri) really did show how the idea of beauty evolved through the ages, as well as a great homage video to the entertainers of yesteryears.

She is so BEAUTIFUL

I love watching Keri's videos because her fans always comment and support her, which shows she is a good role model for me, a 12 year old.

That isn't Beyonce its Diana Ross. And Diana Ross came up with the big hair, and over the top diva image. Diana is Beyonce's idol and that's where Beyonce got that look from. Diana is a big time diva, Beyonce is sort of like a Diana of this generation.
