In Canada the cost of owning brand new compact sedan (ie corolla) is about $475 per month for 10 yrs (assume the car become worthless and minimal on maintenance). If you dca $475 into $spx is a big chunk of money after 10yrs. But yeah public transit sucks and my time and convenience is important lol so I bought a car.
