I'm a 33 yr old MetalHead and when I seen this on TV I geeked out big time. Any recognition (and exposure) our kids get to Metal is a good thing, Metal is slowly becoming more commercially acceptable. Betty White even did a Metal version of the Golden Girls theme on Saturday Night Live.
Willyb shreddn ppl who all of a sudden wore band tees don't listen to metal and actually hate it, they only go for trap music and wear it to bandwagon.
Black metal is higher pitched. Slam is banging a trash can with an axe. Gtindcore is spot on but cannot in any way be confused with black metal. And Viking metal is just amazing
His black metal impression sounds more representative of death metal, nonetheless I appreciate the reference in a kids show. First step towards society accepting rejects like me, that might be more of a bad thing though.
I mean there are definitely black metal bands out there who do low guttural vocals. Inquisition for example, and all the war metal guys, if you still consider that black metal (i sorta do). I do wish they did high vocals but they did get the "drawn out vocals" part right (y)
that sounds like an incredibly intelligent and relevant comment. We should all strive to be model citizens like freecprareaccount, who has proven to be a very tolerant and respectful individual
dsbm is not emo. Emo cant just be used as an umbrella term for anything related to sorrow. Im not familiar with emo culture or music, but I assure you dsbm is completely unrelated. A real emo (which ive never even seen) would probably hate dsbm. The only people who mistake dsbm for emo music are dumb trolls who stumble upon a Happy Days song or see a picture of Trist and dont actually know anything about the genre. True dsbm is too underground to ever be part of some trend.

Rocky is my spirit animal tbh. But black metal (if I'm not mistaken) usually stays away from notes that low. :/ I don't keep up with genres so I could really care less but I do know that black metal usually keeps with really high raspy notes.
