Perhaps visually and externally it might not be damages, but from that heights the battery, for example, will certainly feel the blow, (probably not immediately but in the long term...) and not to mention that it doesn't take much to disconnect some internal soldering.

Drop testing from 8 or 9 feets is kinda moot, nobody under normal condition is going to drop from 8 or more feets. instead a more practical test would be dropping from chest height and totally random just like an accidental drop. Repeat the accidental drops for multiple times. Its just my humble opinion
