Flamma lamma ding dong my friend. I picked this pedal up for $35USD on Amazon. My phaser mysteriously disappeared at a gig, I came Accross your video and thought “for $40 why not?” I’m happy with it. It’s totally usable and takes up no space on my board. Thanks for the honest review.
Flamma Lamma Ding Dong!!! I made it to the end… I plan on buying the pedal you just showed as well as other Flamma pedals!! Thank you
Craig
Thank you for such a complete evaluation on this pedal. Looking at the basic “is it useable” and “does it sound good” level of things. Seems like a great deal. Thanks again. 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
I'm thinking about making this my first pedal. Nice review. Flamma Lamma Ding Dong!
love your Channel Andy for a long time - i think these pedals are great - love the unique 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉 thanks
Flamma lamma ding dong. Another great demo, thank you.
I think I’ll grab one of these for $40. Pretty sure that’s like a gallon of milk, a loaf of bread and some egg’s these days so it’s a steal at that price. The chorus, flanger and tremolo are what I’d mainly use it for but the other effects are cool to have too. Like you said “it’s a no brainer”.
Thanks again.
Flamma lama ding dong, I will be checking the pedal out asap, I have a couple flamma already and really enjoy them. Thank you for your content
Flamma lamma ding dong! It’s pretty amazing how good effects are for that price nowadays. I remember when I started playing in the mid nineties you couldn’t get 1 of those effects for that price 😊 Not too sure on the more experimental effects but if you just wanted a basic chorus/flanger/phaser/tremolo then I don’t know why you wouldn’t have this.
Even if you wanted to get 1 for pre and 1 for post drive sounds it would be cheaper than most brands… although the colour may start making you feel a bit seasick…
That low bit reminds me of old school video games like ‘Street Fighter’ and others. I will be purchasing this Flamma pedal for sure.
Great video my friend.
Oh and Flammalaladingdong🤪
Craig
Definitely a Flammalammadingdong! Thinking this is sooooo small and cute it would indeed suit an electric ukulele. My perdalboard says Thanks.
Very good review and pro playing. Thanks a lot. Definitly a good deal this little Green pedal.
Awesome little pedal! I'd have liked to hear the Liquid setting with the speed all the way down. Might be a bit more useable.
That last effect, the low-bit, sounds like Nintendo! I love it! 🤘🤘
Low bit is awesome. With some good overdrive you can use it for shoegaze noise. Very cool!
Nice review, thanks, will be buying. Flamma-whamma-dingbat!
Oooooooo I am going to get one of these. Flaming Llama Ping Pong! 😁
Flamma Lamma Ding Dong! Lovely review... does this work on a 9V or 12V DC? Also curious to know, if you operate a 9V pedal on a 12V supply, would it damage the pedal?
How does this compare to other cheap multi fx like the landlord spinning room, the sonicake 5th dimension etc?
Flamma is amazing 👏 for the price you can't beat it.
Flammalammadingdong! Might just have to procure one of these little beasties, looks pretty versatile, especially for the price 👍
I picked up one of these about a month ago and I REALLY like the trem, if you set it to subtle, it's just beautiful. I also really like the phaser in this, although it's no Mutron, it's quite good considering what the pedal cost. Chorus is very nice, too. I also have the Reverb pedal and while it doesn't do a spring reverb sound, it does sound really good all the same. Both of these pedals are winners in my book. There's an analog phaser pedal that's going to be released on 7/31, which looks promising.
Flamma lama ding dong! That’s a good pedal!
Flamma lamma ding dong, very nice for the price, some crazy crazy sounds but some very nice sounds to.
Thanks for video
I like the liquid effect.
04/26/2023: I am interested in the: FLAMMA FC03 Guitar Delay Pedal Mini Digital Guitar Pedal with 3 Delay Effects Modes Analog Real Echo Tape Echo True Bypass. I want the Slap-back Rockabilly sound, and the Country Trang sound. But, I also want to turn-off the echo/reverb and just have a "clean delay" for the clean channel on my amp. Will this pedal shut-off echo/reverb?
I love that guitar. 🤘🏻
@@TheGuitarGeek Really? That can be ok for recording, but 4-sets of classic-rock wearing 15-pounds can be a drag.
Flammalammadingdong! It’s a good pedal, that happens to be $40. It’s outstanding and I am probably buying one soon.
Cheap effects pedals FTW! My Amazon credit card is on fire today.
I like Flamma. I have the FC02 reverb and it's very very nice - does normal, blues/surf/rock stuff just fine and does some real nice ambient sounds when you get extreme with the knobs. This pedal does seem like a decent value, but none of the sounds are particularly compelling. I guess I prefer pedals that do at least one thing really well over these jack of all trades/master of none things.
Bought it when you told me to buy it- flamma lamma ding dong!!!
I think the low bit is similar to the germanium big muff’s voltage button where you can make it sound like a dying battery.
Flamma-lamma ding-dong, baby! :-) I got the pedal as a gift from a friend. It definitely has some usable stuff on it. Some of it waaaaay too specific...? Like you said, allows for decent experimentation, and if you need something more high-powered, you get it later. Good value for the money.
Tender, yeah!
Flamma-lamma-ding-dong for the dedication it must take to find a modulation pedal setting that turns it into a fuzz! 🤣
A couple of weeks ago, I’d have said I have no need of this. But since the Line6 DL4 MkII, I’m thinking I need to create a board of only a few, very versatile green pedals.
Flamma Lamma Ding Dong, I might have to pick one of these up to put on my bass pedalboard! Speaking of, how does it sound with bass?
I like Flamma pedals but I just bought a Wampler Terraform. Do you think I need to get this one still? Maybe. layered modulations? Flamma lamma ding dong!
If you have the terraform, I don't think you NEED this pedal but for the price and the size, why not!
Flamma-lamma-ding-dong was a B side on an obscure Otis Day and the Knights single.
How does it compare with the Mooer Mod Factory Mkii? I am between these two pedals..
Very good effects except for the ring and the low bit, it would be nice if instead it had octave down and octave low or maybe Echo and Reverb...
flamma lamma ding dong: I was aiming for the tremolo and stutter but chorus and phase are also good. I can play the other ones for fun. It i worth it
The bit crusher alone is worth buying the flamma-lama-ding-dong for! I don't think I have a sense of humour tho...
Flamma lama ding dong. Cool pedal for those of us who like to make strange sounds with our gear
Flamalamading dong
I bought this for a friends b day. It's a decent pedal, at the very least it's an ok tremolo :)
I wonder if anyone is producing an effects pedal with a FPGA…that you could roll your own via an iPad kind of interface?
I've bought one after seeing a few videos, including this one, and after playing a lot with it and comparing it with some other effects I have, the only effects that really stand out for me are the Trem and especially the Rotary, which I really like. The auto wah is fun, the chorus/flanger/phaser are really lacking for me, the vibra is ok, and the rest is just useless gimmicks... The big sister seems way better, for a bit more, but with programmable presets.
no one has compared this pedal with the sonicake dimension pedal ?
Whatcha talking bout 🙂Liquid sounds like a really nice chorus with less extreme settings! You can get the Scofield sorta tones out of it
$39.99 in the states and free shipping with Amazon Prime, using your link in the description!
For the price well worth it, I’ve got the Flamma FS02 Reverb which is also a really good sounding pedal, well manufactured, good design and can save 7 presets.
The modulation fx sound good enough for a multi pedal, you can’t complain for that price, I’d say it’s a better pedal than price suggests.
Great demo as usual Andy, I don’t understand what the Liquid effect on many of the multi modulation pedals is supposed to really create or emulate? But pretty useless for many, but it’s there if you want it, but you can’t expect too much. Yeh the slicer ain’t great but not too bad slow but fast is a bag of s!!!!! Not a huge fan of Ring but it’s useable if you want it, low bit the control changes the bit rate I think but please correct me if I’m wrong someone, again it’s there for people who to use it. Flamma lamma ding dong!
It reminds me of Black Napkins. Starting at 2:12 here: ua-cam.com/video/U2QympwCu_g/v-deo.html
Flamma lamma ding dong!
is the flamma lamma ding dong has (at least acceptable) signal loss when engaged?
I'm a beginner that looking for a tremolo at the moment at it sounds like good enough for that purpose, plus other effects to explore yet not sure if I really need them at the moment..
Sold out
Interesting. Cure the volume drop & make the tone control only affect the effect & they might have a little winner here.
Flamma-lama-dingdong! I have a Sonicake 11 mods pedal that is almost identical to that but actually, I’m sorry to say, just a little bit better…it has a jet flanger (rhymes with banger). It is a great idea to have one pedal with loads of different mods though, apart from chorus I rarely engage more than one mod at once. I say apart from chorus because I’m a chorus always on sort of fellow but I’m very very fussy about my chorus pedals, in fact I’ve only two that I love:- a Sonicake that is subtle but has a switch that adds lushness and a 1980s Aria stereo chorus that is the chorus that all choruses should aspire to being like…it’s fantastic!
It is, do you also have it? I’m quite a fan of Sonicake pedals but I’ve noticed they’re beginning to bump up their prices.
@@cmmooney564 im actually torn between the two, and I feel like im gonna go with the sonicake. Thanks for your review by the way. I agree, they are around $65 over here in my area now, but its still worth it.
You’re more than welcome. My instinct tells me the two pedals may have a lot more in common then the manufacturers would have us believe. My original reason for buying the Sonicake was that I was looking for a jet flanger (rhymes with banger) but I found that the settings for one mod don’t need to be adjusted for most of the others, well for my tastes anyway but not for two effects: Crying bot and LOFI, those two require more fiddling. I LOVE PEDALS!!!…sorry, I went a little unhinged there. 😊
just for low bit and ring this thing is worth $40. crank this with an octaver and i'd love to see what ring does with a bit of fuzz on it.
Flamma lamma ding dong! £2.82p per effect from Thomann, why would you not!
Wel you just invented the unboxing afterparty. Or....would it be a review? Let me check the date and time and get back to you.
Good reference point for sound. One brand new Flamma pedal caught on fire ( returned and replaced by a Joyo ) and I now have 7 not 11 sounds from that pedal. $20 range US prices, not worth it.
my pedal will not power up with the rest of the pedalboard. I always have to unplug it and plug it back in. Very frustrating.
That is a comment I have seen on the amazon reviews several times. Sounds like a teal PITA.
You need to learn the end tune from Spongebob Andy, use that on the Ring effect.
Flama lama ding dong .. lol yes I picked this pedal up . $38.99 US CURRENCY
Pedals need a Level Control. This one is no exception. I tried one. There is a quite noticeable volume increase when the pedal is engaged. This would be useless in a live situation. Your sound man will shoot you.
flammalamadingdong! LOL
I wonder how it holds up to the Landlord Effects version. Falmmalamma ding that Dong.
@@TheGuitarGeek yes. And another retailer in the UK too. Can’t remember which. PMT maybe.
Not good man! Ive tried that one, but the other landlord pedals sounds great especially their drive pedals
Yeah a good flamma damma ding dong, Andy you've done it again, great review, great pedal, am going to get one.
Sucks they can't send you a dam power supply with it, now I gotta try to find one somehow. Why can't it be battery powered?
Very few pedals come with power supplies. If it were battery powered, it could not be so small.
FLDD
I have this pedal and its alot of fun. I have not tried it in my pedal board chain yet. Some of the Amazon reviews said it can be a little noisy in a pedal board chain. Flamma Longa Ding Ding
Brian Wampler can't be happy that his Terraform has been undercut by the Flamma-lama-ding-dong. It is a beginner's mod pedal, but the metallic sounds might in time drive the player to look at better options.
bro you just max out the chorus settings and said that was the tone!?? 🤣🤣🤣😅😅😅😅
Unreliable. Used a few times before power issue. Now won't power on until unplugged and plugged back in.
It needs 150mA. Make sure you’re giving it enough power and I wouldn’t daisy chain this pedal either.
@@brianrollins7275 Dude, Ive been playing for 30 years. I know what I'm doing! Lol
Flammalamadingdong. Good for $40+. You're using it wrong lol. I know you couldn't resist turning up the depth. Too much depth no good. It's works best and intended to add a little flavor not over saturate the sound. If I didn't have a Mod pedal with 16 settings I'd get the Flamma Mod pedal ✌
You can’t use a pedal incorrectly. If I didn’t turn it up, people would be complain that I didn’t turn it up. Come on David!
Common sense = stop turning the rate/speed knob all the way up.
It would be incredibly more useful to NOT turn the speed and depth the whole way up as the only second variation! Wtf
... as in, find some nice sounding settings and write them on a piece of paper and use them to make a demo that is helpful.
Not worth it when it lasts ONE hour. Only brand That’s failed on me in 50 years.
"Flamma lamma ding dong!" ........... hmmm maybe. Liquid is the worst. Stutter, Ring Modulation and Low Bit are also bad. So it's actually 7 usable effects for $40 bucks.
Awful pedal! I literally bought it 3 days ago and send it right back. So far I bought most of the Lamma pedals. I am not impressed.
you are high. some of the effects are top notch, and for the amount of great usable tones you get for $40 is is amazing. I have tons of gear, and I found some nice tones on this thing I can't fine in other places. I'd put this on a bar-tour pedal board any day. In fact that's the plan!
It's a shame to destroy the effect by choosing sounds no one can stand for a minute.
You can play when you are alone the unusable sounds.
I am sorry, but you ruin it my friend.
Somebody got to tell you to stop acting like a child.
Effect is good
If you really are Thanos, can't you just snap your fingers and fix anything you don't like about this video? Or are you pre-Infinity Stones Thanos?
