I don't know how slick your table is but it looks like the wheels are pretty grippy because the car isn't drifting everywhere when you turn. This thing does look really nice!
+Jefafa Von Richthofen Yeah, the wheels have a bit of grip to the rubber, but also this car is just not that fast, so I don't think drifting would be a problem on any surface.
Plantraco! Great to see those folks are still around! I have a little tank they made like 15 or so years ago that fights with IR! BEAUTIFUL CAR!

I have looked at their planes so many times, but they're still a bit too big/fast for my small house. I still dream of the day I can actually fly a plane in my living room. :)

hey Ryan,I have an very important question I want to ask you.I have the hexacopter brand(w609-10) and when I charge the battery,it didn't show the red light from the charger chord. how to fix it? is it the battery problem or the charging chord? this is very important.I saw you did fyl and review on this brand so I think you can help me out thanks.

+Cr125stin I've looked at their planes so many times, and am constantly impressed. But, I think they are still a bit too big/fast to fly in my small house, but then too small to fly outdoors unless you have no wind at all. So, I don't really think I'd have anywhere to use them, or show them off in a video. And, for as expensive as they are, I just can't get myself to take the risk.
Do they come with a normal joystick.

If you still have it or can find it, how much does it weigh? I have a model crane and have been looking for a small rc car I can lift with it. My other option was coke can rc but this looks sooo much better. I love your videos and they convinced me to buy my syma x11c. Please respond because I am very interested!
I don't have it to weigh it any more, but it was very light, and I'd imagine a model crane should be able to lift it. You may be able to find the weight online somewhere.

I know you probably been asked this before but what program do you edit with? Sony Vegas? I just tried out Windows Live Movie Maker and it's total crap. My HD Mobius footage has been reduced to SD. I still uploaded it because I was pissed at putting in a bit of time to edit all the clips into a 5 minute video of me and a friend having fun. Checked out your Sony cam...bit out of my price range :(

Hi Ryan I have a question I noticed that you have 2 So can you drive multiple cars at the same time is there any interference I would imagine not since the remote is a smart phone but I'm not the sharpest tool in the shed so I had 2 ask
+Dave “Quad Therapy” Vale Since they connect via Bluetooth, they will only connect with the phone you pair them to. So yep, you can run several at the same time and not worry about interference. :)

+Frequent Flyer RC Yeah, me too, but honestly I didn't mind it at all with this model... it's so slow that it's not like you are moving the sticks quickly, so you don't end up moving your fingers too far, etc, etc. I really didn't have a problem at all with this one. :) And it's nice to not lug a controller around with it, if you take it to work or whatever. :)
You should review the micro rover from plantraco, It looks pretty cool and that lap timer looks like a great idea! Great review, however I hate watching your vids sometimes as I know you will change my mind on what RC I want lol! ;)

+X-FLIGHT101 I don't remember if I said or not, but I did end up ordering the Apache. Should be here Monday. I know that for me, personally, the 200 QX will definitely still be my favorite flyer. I've heard of some issues with the Apache, and in general scale models are not the best performers, since they sacrifice weight for detail. It's a CP heli, but I wouldn't expect to be doing any serious 3D with it, other than mild loops and maybe some inverted flying (I won't be doing any of that, as I am no 3D pilot, heh).

+X-FLIGHT101 I have no idea. I'd imagine the fees there have something to do with customs and import taxes, so you'd have to take it up with your government, not Horizon. lol
you should fly one of their (plantracos) classroom fighters or the 6 inch bf 109 or spitfire. they are $150 though.
+Lmao Lmoo I have considered them, and am intrigued by them, but they are still too fast to be flown in a house, and I don't have a larger indoor area to fly them. So, if I were to fly them outside, I would need nearly perfectly calm wind conditions, and that rarely happens here in IL, and is even rarer that it happens on a day and time that I can film a flight video. heh I also don't think it would show up on camera very well, so it just doesn't seem very conducive to a good review video. :/
Flyin' Ryan RC ya. I saw the guy flying one in wind but he's the guy who makes them so he's probably pretty good. It's just hard trying to find a solid review for them. Not sure if they're worth the price.

Very cool. Its kind of expensive, but small engineering is expensive. Most people just dont get it. Racket pinion steering on such a small little thing, is pretty damn impressive. The light and sound is pretty cool too. This thing really has a lot of features for its size.

Thats cool and funny man very nice litle car. I wish they make a version with pistol controller so you can feel the throtle and steering. Also a 4x4 scale truck version that can crawl would be awsome. One tekila shot on the go plz. lol Thanks for the vid.
+panic mike Yeah, a physical controller would be nice, though I have to say, I didn't have any issues controlling this with my phone, like I have had with some other RCs. They do make an SUV version, but not a truck or 4WD... maybe that is in the future for this vehicle. :)

The REV by Wowewee looks pretty kewl. Only prob is, all the reviews are by Wowwee, the review by others are slideshows, don't really show how good/bad they work. Will keep an eye out though.
Then stumbled across the Anki Overdrive, awesome review by the mfg, but like REV, not really any by users yet.

+Steve RC I have considered both of those, but they are expensive, and really require multiple drivers to make the most fun of them. So, that would involve extra arrangement for me to get a friend to help in testing and reviewing them. I will continue to consider them, but it's a bit of a daunting review to take on.
The REV has a chase mode that allows you to, like in a video game, play against the computer. But the Anki; good point, takes two play. I was considering either as a gift to nephews, but not until I see a review by a user. Like that stupid Air Hogs X-Wing fighter that doesn't fly. Don't want something that works in the mfg's perfect environment, then doesn't work outside of that.

He he... Maybe you have the magic touch, was going by Saylor's attempt to make it fly and also Eflite. All the Star Wars nutz at work were talking about it and taking a Costco trip at lunch, so I forwarded the links.

Hmmm, I never tested range, since this is sort of meant as a desktop driver, and with as slow as it is, I just don't think you'd ever have much reason to drive this far away from yourself.

+Radley Jabilona That looks like junk. Most World Tech Toys products are very low quality. And, since it runs on AA batteries, I can guarantee that it's slow and not powerful enough to do any real off-roading.

The one thing that has kept me away from low-cost micro RC cars is the lack of proportional steering, which I consider critical. You had me sold on this car until I realized that it was smartphone operated. Guess I have to keep waiting.
I need a physical steering wheel to hold onto, else propo steering is pointless. Is there a compatible wheel TX available?
Simulated, virtual wheels and sticks just don't cut it for me, as I use what I feel as well as what I see to drive. Phone-controllers remind me of those membrane keyboards on the old Atari 400 PCs and other budget computers that provided zero tactile feedback when you typed. Those keyboards didn't survive for long because of.
Wish it had this many features on android. Only 1 interface and not even got the lap timer built in. App was last updated in 2013... great. 😭

The price is still a bit on the steep side, but I really do think it's worth it, especially if you consider that you're paying for the app development too, and this is an Canadian company, so they have a higher cost of doing business, and customer service, which adds to the price over Chinese equivalents.

I'm not sure there would really be much of a market for that. But you can get game controllers that connect to a phone, which would give you something more like an actual controller experience.
