@@Eyeofdajjal Spawn of Possession are light-years ahead of Archspire and I think even they'd admit that. The track you mentioned is using a gravity blast which isn't as impressive as the straight snare hits required in 'Scorched'. It's also slightly slower, at 300BPM rather than 310BPM.
I just hope you won't get tired of tech death metal one day :) It's super cool we have so talented guys like you to put his effort in this kind of music
Searched for a drum cover of this specifically and lo and behold one was uploaded 6 days ago. Awesome stuff dude! Scorched is one of the most fun SoP songs to play (At least on guitar). Just a fast and comparatively straightfoward good time.

yeah i don’t usually crash hard on it since it’s so dry and thick, its good for jazz though since you can get a nice soft crash accent in addition to the stick definition

When you hit your ride cymbal, doesn't it wobble to the point of hitting the floor tom mic right underneath ?
i have it positioned so that the ride can’t dip down that low, also helps that this dry ride is super heavy so it doesn’t tend to move that much
