2023 Baccalaureate Ceremony

Evan Smith ’87 will deliver the Baccalaureate address for the Class of 2023. A senior advisor at the Emerson Collective, Smith advises local news nonprofits around the country and advocates for strengthening democracy by informing communities.
Smith also is a senior advisor at The Texas Tribune, the pioneering nonprofit digital news organization he co-founded in 2009 and led for more than 13 years as CEO.
