Not sure of timing in video but, You Ask what my Favorite Vehicle was for Off Roading and being I have had my first Baja Bug in 1974 till my Gal Got sick ( low blood sugar, Diabetic) in 1978 and Rolled my 65 Baja, nothing but Engine was saved, I built another in 1982, registered as a 1983, (Being you have to junk both to make a CHP Riveted on New Vin, made from a 1970 Bug pan and a 1955 Oval Window Body, free pan, $25 Body delivered from a tow yard, rough for sure!), Painted and Caged in 1985. Put in as much as I could, as often as I could, about a $1000 a year for 9 to 10 years, still upgrading as of today, (King 14" Rear Coil Overs, temporary Fox up front w/longer Trailing Arms Front and Rear). Been going to Occatila Wells since 1975, had a buddy whom passed in 2000 had a Space in Mobiland off of Split Mtn Rd. Was no Slacking Vehicle, could follow a VW based Rail Anywhere!! Appreciate the video you did on UA-cam, thinking ahead on where to go with New Baja Bro's when I fix His Baja Play Cage into a Tougher cage, he has rust problems to make situation worse! Happy Trails!! Gary vdubwizard@yahoo.com Have a Great Summer
I own a well built JKU, but I think a well built LJ with a slight stretch and wider axles would be the best platform for so many types of trails. Plus the 4.0 is such a fantastic engine.
This was such a fun trip. I can't wait for next year.
