I am a relatively return stitcher and working to expand my fabric choices and count...found 32 with my glasses ok to stitch with good light, but 36 definitely needed the magnifying and light. Have fun, stay safe, stitch on!

I had ordered some different colors of fabric from 123 also but they were mainly 30 and 37 count. The 30 count I may do over 1 stitching on. I love 37 count Russian tea cake. It’s easier to see than 40. I love the look of 40 count but it really slows me down. If you get 40 count, stick with a good quality fabric like Lakeside, XJude, Colour and Cotton. I have heard that Nancy Turner’s fabric is great too. Because 40 is harder to see, you don’t want any of those linens with wisps of threads that get missed. Have fun stitching and be well!! I’m glad to be retired and to have grown kids. My son is a police officer and we worry more than usual. 🙏🏻
Nevada Stitcher I have never heard of 37 count! I am going to get some! I will be thinking of your son. My son-in-law is a firefighter with advanced medical training. Thankful for our first responders!
@@amystrick1 Yes, it turned out nice as the colors work with my home decor. I like stitching motifs, but not a big fan of traditional samplers which you know is so popular currently. Hi Amy, I also did Shores of Hawk Run Hollow on 32 count, it turned out beautifully! I also did Village of Hawk Run Hollow, they are biv, but I love them . I have about 1/2 of the Map of Hawk Run Hollow done, I need to go back and stitch on it. I just might do that when I finish my French Alphabet. Enjoy your videos very much, you are a beautiful stitcher.

Glad London didn’t leave any lasting damage! Lol 🐶 Tapestry is looking AMAZING - totally agree that the blue & aqua looks beautiful & better than yellow & brown would be. Your start on the Hawk Run Hollow piece is beautiful!! In my experience, Zweigart linen is a lot less slubby than others, so it’s a good choice for a giant piece like that! Mallow is also a good choice for a first introduction to 40 count, bc it is more of an evenweave! Seeing yours reminded me I have some & I need to stitch something on it lol. I’m finishing up a Tiny Modernist chart at the moment, and have a couple of Blackbird Designs to finish, but the Shores is calling my name! I’ll be watching your progress . I so enjoy your videos...stay well. Our business is considered essential, but we are doing as much as possible through Zoom and phone, or whatever works. As little face to face as possible. Always Amy There are only a few 37 count colors but they are beautiful. Access Commodities, I believe, is the brand. 123Stitch carries them.
