I know kids now a days don't think much of something like this, but back in the day this was one of the absolute coolest things to experience in gaming in 2009. We never saw anything like this.
Moment of silence for the soldiers at 6:11 who called for Broken Arrow. For those not familiar with the term "Broken Arrow", it's basically a fire mission called in to let artillery or CAS know the following run is a last ditch effort and the squad calling it in accepts that they will not survive. Broken Arrow can only be called if all members of the squad agree to it. It's the ultimate sacrifice.
The music always gets me in this mission. Like its showing our own desperate struggle and all but still all the effects, the tanks getting destroyed by Javelins, everything. Its awesome. MW2 is the winner for me.
It was heartbreaking to imagine anything like this happening. Units requesting artillery to their positions and sacrificing their lives because they're overrun.
"Last mag, make it count" its just so good, why cant they make games like this anymore. They only pump trash ass games with online battle passes and battle points or whatever. We need good stories like this
This mission hit deep when I played this for the first time and coming back to this on the remastered version felt like I am playing this for the first time again! This is what made MW2 a masterpiece🙌🙏
I know it might sound stupid or cheesy but each of the US Army Ranger missions bring tears to my eye. Only those that played through these mission back in 2009 will understand. There was something so vercerally real about them back in the day and knowing what I do now and watching these back those emotions only get stronger. The fire mission "Broken Arrow" being called in as well as hearing that untrained civilians were taking up arms to hold back the advancing Russian forces because they were so hopelessly low on manpower just pulls at my heart strings.
You know years ago as a kid I was so in awe of this game and it brought so much bravery into a young me. And now here I am, 21 years old, and currently serving in the Army. The younger me would be proud.
@@SociologyHue-HUSChow come a division or many battalion size rus military got to the US without getting its navy intercepted. Look at the Russian military today, they cannot properly deploy its force internationally besides using il 76.

I'll be honest first time playing this mission not remastered version, i forgot it was a game and cried seeing my capital in ruins, i literally was turning with every step freaking out at the chaos around me. most emotional mission for me.
Totally agree. COD nowadays is garbage. I really miss the time COD games like movie feminism crap. And bring warfare to USA, total war with Russians is fantastic. New COD? Never gonna happen.
Kind of surreal watching this as an Adult from UK, with it's portrayal of War-torn DC when I had first played this, I had never visited Washington DC, but eventually I visited Washington DC, then in 2019 I visited Ukraine (that was technically at war since 2014) but was mostly peaceful then in 2022 Russia launched a full on War of Aggression against them, and It was so surreal for me to see sirens on streets and scenes of carnage on streets that were once great to walk on, the lesson is life where you are can be totally normal one moment, then everything around you just thrown in to chaos, I guess what I am trying to say is appreciate that you get to live in peace and relative safety if possible stop wars before they happen, because once it is around you a lot of people will suffer, now the War has started Ukraine has to Win, If you can help, pls help them with what you can.. think what if this was happening all round you just because of the bad actions of one person such as Putin.
Hello everyone from Russia. How Americans love to fight with us in video games, but in reality the war is much more terrible and it will be impossible to transfer the hit of a projectile from Mi 28H Helicopters, but this is just a game hehe)
One thing to note on the Javelin is they could've designed the direct fire option into the game like they did for the Stinger in BO2. It would've been better when dealing with those Havocs and even BTRs.
This is how i see the game when i was 15, i had to turn down the graphics since i don't have graphics card, even with low graphics settings the game still looks amazing
The world war is going on ... The main character just walks through the ruins, across the field, through the dugouts, as if he went out for a walk, an ordinary day))))

Not to mention veterans who served that will be standing shoulder to shoulder grabbing their weapons and heading out. The only difference is the soldiers have Geneva Convention. Veterans have Geneva suggestions.
It is sobering to listen to the Washington Monument radio and just try and imagine this actually happening. Then saddening to know that the Ukrainians have, and are, experiencing this for real.

Won’t see another one neither
Facts, facts.
Whether it be modern warfare or world in conflict (Red Dawn the game basically) these moments we're/are insane. And as always Rangers Lead The Way!!!!

Apollo 432 is amazing. love his videos. it remembers me "squad leader", if Apollo432 compete face to face against "squad leader" it will be epic.
I can still remember the first time I played through and walked through the bunker hearing the dreadful music like it was yesterday.

Still one of the best campaign missions COD ever released.

this whole part of the campaign was mind blowing to me as an 11 year old, especially the emp scene
