Those charged in Jan 6 all proved willing and guilty to commit violent acts against government and a clear threat to the public. She’s constantly committing low level crimes including the felonies. Also all plea bargaining changes the sentencing. Judges can only sentence as their state laws allow. Her revolving charges are consistent with being stuck in the system and low income, possibly learning/mentally delayed or like conditions and minor drug use. There’s a whole roster of people similar who add to crowded jails. More pilot programs and funding addressing education, housing, basic needs, mental health services for those types of inmates and reoccurring arrestees can benefit the people and recidivism rates.

Why would she change or stop? She charms her way out. How many pr bonds with all her failures to appear? In some appearances you can see her flirting with the guards. A couple of the lawyers seem to cross lines helping her. I wonder what’s up there. The one with the snitty comment of, “What are you just going to keep her in jail forever?” And if this case shows anything it’s, if you’re going to break laws, do a lot of them because they will get combined and dismissed and run concurrent. Heck, do 10 one year offenses all at once and you’ll do 10 one year sentences concurrent. It’s just disgusting how people who demonstrate they don’t deserve a chance get slaps on the wrist.

The problem is the justice system! It needs to be reformed! They dismiss so many charges because they over charge everyone. They take 1 offense and will site someone with 3, 4, 5....charges. Sentence of fifteen years in a State prison sounds fair, NOT Probation unless there is a condition if she breaks probation she gets fifteen years in a State prison.

*The 12/11 hearing shows our system is broken! They dropped the drug charges… Kept the shoplifting charge. She obviously needs treatment, and jail! Instead, they charge her for the things she did on drugs and not what the drugs made her do. Restitution seems to be the main objective in most cases*
This is wild. First off, thank you for putting this together. It physically hurts my brain to think about the legwork involved in this video, her cases notwithstanding. You earned this sub. Second, I don't know if she is winning or losing. Is it a "spiral" or a "phase"? ...I see it as an unsustainable spiral. She seems too intelligent not to see this, which is most upsetting. Third, she said she was taking literature classes (or some such nonsense). I suggest she become a lawyer as she spends more time in court than her actual attorneys. When she said "house" and "lease," I knew she was staying with some dude who was barely keeping it together. When she said, "I have two phones," I knew she was selling street pharmaceuticals... When she said she worked for a "chauffer company," She is 100% a prostitute... They dropped the crack charge, which is wild to me... Anytime she gets in a zoom with another male inmate she is touching her neck. It's gross... I hoped to see her dry out, but she is truly broken... She only needs to jump out a second-story courtroom window handcuffed behind her back for me to smash at this point...
This young lady needs to have not just the books going at her but an entire encyclopedia. She needs to learn to keep her mouth shut and not be such a big mouth when in court. Finally now that she goes back into trouble I would simply give her the maximum one anything that's available. Forget any plea agreements. It blows my mind that people don't obey a court's orders and then be snarky as well. The court has the power to take away your freedom. You call them your honor, act as respectfully as is humanly possible, hold in all negative feelings and smile, and when they say "jump" you say "how high?"
Hearing #3: "I've made it to court more times than I have missed..." Weird flex, (especially with 7 bench warrants having been issued), but ok. 🙄 Edit: Just finishing the video. The courts are failing her and all of her victims (past and future). She has a serious addiction problem, and no desire to overcome it. Her history goes back way before this - she has cases in 2017, and even one in PA from 2020 regarding a single-vehicle accident and drugs/paraphernalia found on her person. No surprise her own grandmother passed on housing her; she's a mess of her own making.

She needs to be held accountable for her actions; if not, she'll just continue to work the system until something major happens. This is also what I meant by the court failing all of her victims. The grandmother is extremely smart and knows what Ms. Martinez is all about. And I would be afraid for the safety and well-being of the grandmother if she was forced to take Martinez in just my opinion.

She's one of those people who has never faced any real consequences, she can talk her way out of everything because she's sweet (on the surface at least, I wouldn't be surprised if she's an actual nightmare underneath - I noticed one of the dismissed charges was DV) and pretty, that's why she's always checking how she's looking and fixing her hair and smiling nicely, because she's learned that's how she gets away with everything. Including actual crimes, apparently.
Nice work putting this all together. I understand the system has flaws, and there are numerous opportunities for things to fall through the cracks, but she brought this on herself. She can't talk her way out of this, which I'm guessing has usually worked for her in the past, but you can't continue to be a nuisance to the community and expect to continue. She is an absolute mess. Such a mess her Grandmother won't give her a place to stay.

It appears she is smarter than all the judges and attorneys including the prosecutor, she just wore them down to the point they gave up and didn't want to deal with her any longer.
Not even one of these charges should be dismissed, and she should have to pay court costs for every single case brought against her. Double for the ones she fails to appear at.

The problem is the justice system! It needs to be reformed! They dismiss so many charges because they over charge everyone. They take 1 offense and will site someone with 3, 4, 5....charges. It's ridiculous. They do that to assure a conviction in case they don't have a strong case. They know that the majority of defendants will plead guilty to a charge or 2 if they give them a "deal" and drop the rest of the charges. It's a big a$$ game!
Sentence of fifteen years in a State prison sounds fair, NOT Probation unless there is a condition if she breaks probation she gets fifteen years in a State prison.

*The 12/11 hearing shows our system is broken! They dropped the drug charges… Kept the shoplifting charge. She obviously needs treatment, and jail! Instead, they charge her for the things she did on drugs and not what the drugs made her do. Restitution seems to be the main objective in most cases*

Second, I don't know if she is winning or losing. Is it a "spiral" or a "phase"? ...I see it as an unsustainable spiral. She seems too intelligent not to see this, which is most upsetting.

Finally now that she goes back into trouble I would simply give her the maximum one anything that's available. Forget any plea agreements. It blows my mind that people don't obey a court's orders and then be snarky as well. The court has the power to take away your freedom. You call them your honor, act as respectfully as is humanly possible, hold in all negative feelings and smile, and when they say "jump" you say "how high?"

Edit: Just finishing the video. The courts are failing her and all of her victims (past and future). She has a serious addiction problem, and no desire to overcome it. Her history goes back way before this - she has cases in 2017, and even one in PA from 2020 regarding a single-vehicle accident and drugs/paraphernalia found on her person. No surprise her own grandmother passed on housing her; she's a mess of her own making.
So you acknowledge that she *has no desire* to overcome her addiction and that she's a mess of her own making, but you think the court system has somehow 'failed her'?? The court system can send her to classes and give her resources, but it can't convince her to want to get help.

She needs to be held accountable for her actions; if not, she'll just continue to work the system until something major happens. This is also what I meant by the court failing all of her victims. Hearing 10: her attorney saying that we could leave her in jail forever was out of line.
She's one of those people who has never faced any real consequences, she can talk her way out of everything because she's sweet (on the surface at least, I wouldn't be surprised if she's an actual nightmare underneath - I noticed one of the dismissed charges was DV) and pretty, that's why she's always checking how she's looking and fixing her hair and smiling nicely, because she's learned that's how she gets away with everything. Including actual crimes, apparently.
Nice work putting this all together. I understand the system has flaws, and there are numerous opportunities for things to fall through the cracks, but she brought this on herself. She can't talk her way out of this, which I'm guessing has usually worked for her in the past, but you can't continue to be a nuisance to the community and expect to continue. She is an absolute mess. Such a mess her Grandmother won't give her a place to stay.

It appears she is smarter than all the judges and attorneys including the prosecutor, she just wore them down to the point they gave up and didn't want to deal with her any longer.
Not even one of these charges should be dismissed, and she should have to pay court costs for every single case brought against her. Double for the ones she fails to appear at.
Plea bargains don’t work that way and u didn’t see what evidence was used.
@@Bettylala4321Exactly! They overcharge a defendant just so that they can offer a plea deal and get her off the docket. Saves them time and money and guarantees them a conviction. It's screwed up. If they stop overcharging people then they won't have leverage, so they will continue to do so. It's complete BS. Charge fairly and let a person have a fair trial and be sentenced accordingly. Period
