Most of the small base game houses just feel like glorified apartments to me. It's annoying how weirdly shaped and small they can be, but I guess that makes for a great reno challenge!
yeah i’ve read somewhere that the sims developers purposefully make starter homes suck to entice players to renovate them, therefore making the players spend more time in the game
Honestly I agree, I love that idea. If I have free time this week and get to it before satch decides to I’ll probably do it for myself and upload it on Reddit **Edit** I do not own Horse Ranch, Rentals or most kits. Plus some other stuff and recent game packs. Some builds might be missing things so sorry but all builds that won’t be missing major items will be added to the save.
agreed, I also love that they're not filled with debug items! as nice as they can be the don't work great in real gameplay, sims walking through them all the time etc.

After I signed for my place, the previous owners took out all the working blinds and the curtains - took them all out, even the curtain rods. (Even the shower curtain rod. 😮💨) When I found out how much it would cost for curtains and blinds. . . 😭💸💸💸 So I never put them in my Sims builds and they’re the first things I delete to save money. 😂
It was interesting seeing how nice a reno can be made just within a budget and also only base game. I think hobbies were the thing missing from the home, but not sure what base game hobbies there even are.

I think the almond color furniture looks so much better than the green. Maybe color matching the floor originally was a blessing in disguise, because I don't care for the green at all.
Looks good Satch. I've got a coupla sims living in this house on my celebrity save. Pumped up the environment score and jiggled the furnishings but your reno here is superior. Thanks...enjoyed watching👍
I always thought double houses were good but they are hard when you have infants or todlers, i looked at this house and i was like ewww, now since you redid it, i am like, finally
i have a bar in my kitchen, but the stools were in the walkway in the dining room, so the stools had to go. i use the bar for other kitchen essentials, and a bare spot for setting things on.
I would love to see Satch upgrade the apartments that were in game before For Rent. Does anyone know if there is a way to turn those into Residential Rentals?
Off subject But did anyone know you CAN SUE sims in the Sims 3? I just Found out because I did NOT know abiut it. Lol. Also it would be interesting to SEE that in Sums 4. I also wish they wiuld bring back robbers again. Sims 2 has that I would LIKE to have it again but in Sims 4. At some point. i allowed my child to have 1 toy in the living room at a time. she had to clean up her toys, before she could bring out another one. LOL!! ask me how long i was able to keep that up. LOL!!
