Like most others that are new to Kdenlive I have spent many hours watching many Tube videos. This is by far the best explanation for keyframes and Pan & Zoom - unadorned, concise and a jargon and drama free style that is just easy to watch. Thank you.
Question from 7:23 - Answer is this: Apply a value to selected keyframe(s) 1. Select all keyframes you want to apply the value on (hold Ctrl - or Shift and drag) 2. Go to one of the selected keyframes and change the value(s) as you want 3. Click on Apply values to selected keyframes 4. Select the parameters you want to apply and click on OK (^_^) Thank you for tutorial
Old video but this is a godsend, Kden is amazing but it's a huge jump from other tools and finding out how to work with it efficiently can be a task in itself.
Thanks for putting this out there. I see that it doesn't have many views: Please don't let that discourage you, this is an EXCELLENT TUTORIAL!!! Please keep them coming, and the views/likes/subscriptions will follow. Great work!!!!!!!! Just checked out your video selection and WOW! just what I was looking for, a one stop learning channel about kdenlive. SUBSCRIBED!
I'm sure he will get tons of views from me watching this thing over and over, I'm a bit slow learning so I need to rewatch if to get it. Hopefully If I learn well enough I'll have a great video.
Awesome video. Thank you. Watching this and feeling like an video editing genius lol. Friend tagged me in a Tik Tok video he made asking if it could be a trend. I wanna hope on it but I needed to know how to zoom in and out of a frame as that's what he used in the video. Awesome video again!!!
You have a calming and appealing presentation skills. Why not upload tutorials frequently? Your last upload had been 5 months ago and that is too long to wait. My subscription can stay for a while until I see regularity. Community needs your way of presentations.😀
Thank you for this comment. Yes, I realise I haven't been uploading as often. I have just been extremely busy this year. I am working on an updated series for 2023. So I hope you stay tuned. I hope you stay tuned.
my video is nice and bright until i add transform and key frames, when i start playback it starts fading the video to almost dark, also my transform window is on the far right of timeline, how do i get to the postion you have it at, thanks v:21.08.2
is there a way to make a keyframe hold? Like making a zoom like a "cut" not animating the zoom, just "changing" the zoom from a frame to another (the second it reaches the new keyframe it shows a new zoom config, as without transition)
There should be a Discrete Keyframe type. I believe it has a square symbol. There are 3 keyframe types in total, Linear (default), smooth and discrete. Try the Discrete keyframe.
I used keyframing to move a png image around the video, but when I was nearly done, kden changed the keyframe values, so the image just went in a straight line instead of the path I intended. Do you think this is just a SW bug or did I do something wrong? The keyframes were linear.
I don't think this is something wrong that you did. Were you adding new keyframes for each position? A common mistake is repositioning the same keyframe over and over again. Otherwise, this could be a glitch. What I would do is go step by step. Add a new keyframe for each position and test it out (press play) as you go. In addition to that, make sure you are saving your project at each step just in case of a bug or a crash.
@@victorianodejesus Thanks for responding 🤗. I did make a new keyframe for each new position. It must have been a bug. My mistake was not playing it before I saved each time, so I didn't notice when the bug occurred.
This was EXACTLY what I needed. Thank you so much!!!!

What totally blows me away is the fact that this super-powerful software is free!

@@victorianodejesus Yes, of course but don't delay long.
Great video. Thank you.
Great vid! I didn't know about the scroll bar resizing!
Just a note: you don't need to click the "duplicate keyframe" button twice ;-)
This is a great tutorial! Thanks ! :D

Excellent tutorial, clearly presented, thank you!
Awesome

Thank you very much!!
How do I show keyframe automation graph for Transform -> X position in the timeline???
Is there any way to use perspective transformation?
Thanks I now know how to duplicate
I have a video and when I zoom in it becomes pixilated in the project monitor window when I select fullscreen. Wondering how to clean that up a bit.
Hi Victoriano, can u tell me how to remove an image from a video, for eg. the crocodile from this one.
Yes somewhat different to 20.04 seems like they added some functions to transform, but it works maybe you have to do more work with my version
amazing
Very useful

Very nice video.. Just wish your audio was louder.... I dont know if it is just me but it is pretty feeble at my end
Thanks for the feedback. I've normalized the audio, so it should be at the expected normal level.
Fine here
I dont have the things in the corner for the size or the cross in the middle for panning. (I have version 21.12.3). Any help is much appreciated.
I have the same issue, did you find a solution?
thanks for help

Transform is my most used effect! Rotation can also be used, go from 0 to 360, I call it the propeller look, use it with titles!
I emailed your web page however I am unsure if you received it. ....why does my dock orientation look different than yours?
What version of Kdenlive are you using? Try clicking on the Editing Workspace, it should change the workspace layout into the standard layout.
4:19 how to jump?
If you want to jump, just cut the video to where you want the jump to happen. No need for key framing
@@victorianodejesus i want to jump in start of project
