I guess that Amara was finally able to build up enough power and work a way out of Jafar's spell after the countless decades spent trapped as his staff. Like how Jafar was able to break the Genie spell in record time (being probably the only being ever to do so).
And she would have been willing, since shes power hungry. Becoming the most powerful sorceress would have assuredly been something she'd have helped with. She would probably have turned on Jafar too.
Indeed. That would indeed have been an amazing evil team-up. The two of them could probably have come very close to claiming victory over all the realms. However, for one of a whole host of reasons, their alliance would probably break down as well. And Cora would most likely be the one with the short end of the stick, just like everyone else who deals with Jafar, the most powerful dark sorcerer in all the realms.
@@WTKB82 Cora probably would indeed turn on Jafar eventually (for whatever reasons, perhaps after realising that he is far more dangerous and evil than even she expected), but like the Red Queen and the Jabberwocky before her, she will most likely be outwitted and overcome by the most powerful and evil dark sorcerer in history.
@@blackskull7294 I disagree ever so slightly with that. Jafar and Amara's power (even at their base levels) far surpassed almost everything that the main series had in store. Where did Amara learn dark magic? I just re-watched OUATIW and I don't recall them mentioning where or who she learned it from or how long she's been looking for her sons/genies. Was it implied that she learned it from the Dark One (not specifically Rumple or Zoso, just in general) or another sorcerer/sorceress or other magical being?
Rozie Wright I think Cyrus mentioned that she already knew at least some magic. I think she upped the ante and learned more, including dark magic because she wanted to get her sons back and free them. That said, I consider Amara and Cryrus to be the villains, along with Jafar's dad and not Jafar himself.
Rozie Wright Think about it. Cyrus was an arrogant, petulant, snarky, cheating little brat. He cheated and it got his house burned with his mother in it. Then he arrogantly took the water when he was not supposed to and while it did save his mother, it caused himself and his two brothers to be trapped as genies. He kept talking his other two brothers into his schemes. They were innocent in all of this. Then you have Amara. She ends up going from knowing some magic, to learning dark magic. Then she takes advantage of a child, never mind the fact that she had sons and should have known better. Even teen Jafar still had some good in him, but she turned him towards the dark side more and more and then she slept with him. I mean she was stuck looking a certain age for a long time, and she is sleeping with this teenager. She took advantage of a child whose father: treated him like crap, who despite the fact that he learned as much about politics hoping to impress his father did not get any acknowledgement. His royal prince of a son did not know crap but he gets treated perfectly. This poor boy is attacked by his half brother, and then his father tricks him into thinking he will get treated better only to have his father grab him from behind and drown him. If it were not for his mother’s spirit bringing him back to life, he would have been dead. The people who eventually took him in, it did not seem like they treated him very nicely either. This was the boy Amara took advantage of. All because, she wanted more power so she could do what she wanted. Jafar would not have turned into a villain if it were not for his horrible father, Amara and Cyrus. None of these people acknowledge what they did. Cyrus even got a happy ending in what many fans agree was a horrible pairing. They were not developed very well, unlike the Anastasia/Will relationship.
I wish this version of jafar made into main OUAT. I love the other actor but this one was better. Also I have a question: is Genie (aka Sidney Glass) should be one of Cyrus’s brothers? Just recasted in the ouat in wonderland? Or am I confused?
Yes. With every attack Amara delivers, Jafar counters back evenly. Finally, Amara rips glass shards from a mirror and levitates them towards him. Jafar pushes back, but instead of killing her, he uses a shard to impale Cyrus. Despite how well-guarded she kept her secret from him, he has already figured out that Cyrus and the two other cursed genies are her sons. Amara despondently nestles her fatally-wounded son while Jafar offers the only opportunity to save him by breaking the laws of magic. Pushed to her limit, she gives in to Jafar and combines powers with him to obliterate the laws of magic and become the two most powerful sorcerers in all of history, capable of, among others things, bringing back the dead, making people fall in love, and controlling time and changing the past.
She's so awesome.
