I really love the tone this specific YA30 makes, it sounds nice and modern compared to other YodAlarms. I wish they could make new YodAlarms sound like this one.
You got that right J, the E2S alarm is pointless especially as it’s a speaking one. I personally don’t think this crossing would really ever double stay tbh seeing as the time for the train to clear the section over the crossing would probably be to long so the signaller might as well raise then lower it again. None the less another great video from you ahaha.
Thanks mate 😁 Personally I think two trains passing in one closure at this crossing must be very rare, so no idea why the alarm was configured with that voice message, or why an 'e2s' alarm was installed at all in the first place 🤨
@@UKLevelCrossingsChannel It's probably because there may be a passenger train approaching on the single line to the left and a freight train may be signal checked to the right, hence the "more than one train" alarm
Thanks! 😎 These 'e2s' alarms have become more common at crossings fairly recently. They've been installed with several new crossing upgrades this year. It's not always used however. I think it might depend on the region and costs.
Excellent video of one of my favourite level crossings! I was really quite surprised when I filmed here on the day before and saw the E2S alarm there! I'd think the voice message has at least some worth, since the double-track under the footbridge could hold a second train in case of delays, and trains typically pass here every 15 minutes during the off-peak. Nevertheless, I'm so glad they kept at least one of the YA30s here, otherwise this level crossing would have lost all its charm, although I don't think the E2S alarm suits it at all if you ask me! 👍👍😁
Thanks! 😁 Well, as far as I know, there is very rarely never more than one train on the section between Ware and Hertford East, so the chance of the crossing remaining lowered for more than one train must be very remote. The e2s sounds very out of place now. I think I would prefer the crossing without it.
@@UKLevelCrossingsChannel I hear you on that! Personally, it doesn't affect my opinion on the crossing too much, because I like how this particular combination is so unique and different personally tbh. Then again, so was the two YA30 alarms as a combination, and you know how much I have a dis-taste for E2S alarms 🤣😎
There's very few crossings that have only one alarm, most have two. I guess it's a failsafe, so if one does break, theres always a second alarm. Not sure why this new alarm was configured with a voice message though.
Nice one mate, I take it this would of been out a lot sooner if this would of been the first upload?? And wow that alarm combination is really rare and strange innit?
Thank mate 😁 Yeah, it would've been out the next day or day after as I was very surprised by the change. It's alright though as I've been the first to see new changes at several crossings, numerous times before. And yeah, very strange indeed.
UK Level Crossings Channel I remember how gutted you were about it though when you was actually there, and you called me to tell me and how exited you were about getting it out first. 😂

I like it ! Also the Yodalarm sounds like a brand new one as it is the sound it's supposed to make
Thanks 🙂 This alarm is actually from around 2005 which the current barriers date back to.
Excellent. epic quality and nice sounds!
Thank you! 😁

Nice upload
That is really cool!!!
Nice crossing! 😁 Those alarms need sorting out.
Hmm. I'm definitely not sure on the "More than one train may be approaching" warning at a station that probably never sees two trains at once.
Yeah 😂
@@UKLevelCrossingsChannel It's probably because there may be a passenger train approaching on the single line to the left and a freight train may be signal checked to the right, hence the "more than one train" alarm
It's very unlikely as the next station is a terminus, so very little freight uses the line.
Great video
Thanks! 😎
Good vid and i saw ur ware model on ROBLOX 😎
Did they dare to combine yodalarms and E2S?
Yes they did which is very uncommon. However, they've used an e2s alarm with a voice warning at a single track crossing 😑
UK Level Crossings Channel why.. it is a single track.. that’s so dumb because if another train is approaching then that’s not good.
I assume it's either very rare or never happens at all at this crossing. With the timetable, it's very rare trains would ever meet at this station.
Great crossing mate!! Could you tell me why there are two signs??😂😂
Thanks! 😁 If you mean the 'Ware Level Crossing' signs then I don't know. Almost all crossings in Hertfordshire have these signs.
@@UKLevelCrossingsChannel No problem!! Yes, the Ware Railway Crossing. I've never seen something like that😀😀😂😂
@@UKLevelCrossingsChannel Manor way had it but now its been removed :(
I love the vid it’s great but do they always use that alarm?

Why couldn't they have had just one alarm on all of them? That really is pointless

UK Level Crossings Channel Yeah mate 😂😂🙄
Can I just ask is there a problem? Or is that last emoji a typo?
bruh why do they have to put a voice warning even though THERES ONLY ONE TRACK
THEY WANT THE TRAIN DRIVERS TO DIE?!?!?
Why 😂. I need to film this
what
Yes you do British Crossings and Trains 😁
