I am currently designing a Leadership Program for my company - this is extremely helpful! Would love to hear more on additional resources/ideas for the program - keep it up!
@@victoryveekay3049 Hi there, Designing a leadership development program for your school can be an exciting and impactful project. When it comes to determining the structure of your program, it's important to consider the specific needs and context of your school. Here are a few steps you can take to help you in the process: Conduct a needs analysis: Start by understanding the current leadership landscape in your school. Identify the areas where improvement is needed and the skills and competencies that are essential for effective leadership. Define program objectives: Clearly articulate the goals and objectives of your leadership development program. What outcomes do you want to achieve? This will guide the design and content of your program. Select learning methods: Choose appropriate learning methods that align with your objectives and engage participants. This could include workshops, seminars, coaching sessions, experiential activities, and more. Implement the program: Create a detailed plan for delivering the program. Consider the timeline, resources needed, and any logistical considerations. Ensure that the program is well-communicated to participants and relevant stakeholders. Evaluate the program: Establish evaluation measures to assess the effectiveness of your program. Gather feedback from participants, track their progress, and measure the impact of the program on their leadership skills and performance. Remember, every school is unique, so there isn't a one-size-fits-all structure for a leadership development program. Tailor your program to meet the specific needs, resources, and goals of your school. Good luck with designing your leadership development program, and I hope it makes a positive impact on your school community! Best regards, Irina
SWOT is in fact a powerful analysis tool but when it comes to evaluating a learning program or any T&D intervention, the four levels Kirkpatrick model remains the most reliable and effective evaluation method! Totally deserve a descriptive video from you ;)
SWOT isn’t normally used for evaluation, it’s more of a needs analysis tool. And yes, Kirkpatrick’s levels are usually the gold standard in learning evaluation.

How to write a case study and from where to start? Please add your thoughts! As you know, the CEO willing to transform the organisation towards a sustainable track of growth. He is fully aware that a strategical and organisational change will be worth nothing if people are not properly involved. For this reason, he has tasked you with designing a development and learning plan to accompany and assist the coming transformation. You must prepare a document (Power Point, Word or other) with your plan. It must contain, at least, the following topics: • Objectives • Development actions • Schedule • Result measuring mechanisms • Other elements that you consider important for the plan’s success.
What you have described above is a perfect example of a well-written case study! Here are some additional things to consider: 1. The context: Describe what the context is so that your learners have a better understanding of the organization, it's culture, values and strategy (or whatever else is important for the case study). The case study needs to describe the desired outcome and the barriers to its success. Alternatively - learners need to understand the barriers. 2. The objectives: Think about what the learners will need to do/say/behave throughout and at the end of the case study. 3. The development actions: What actions do your learners need to go through? 4. Create a schedule: Develop a timeline or schedule that outlines when each development action will take place. Consider the duration, frequency, and sequencing of activities to ensure a well-structured and coordinated approach. 5. Include other important elements: Consider additional elements that are crucial for the story, such as stakeholder engagement, communication strategies, budget considerations, relationships, etc. Good luck!
