And the sequel would be the entry into him establishing his Legend in full. But then for some reason Yotei is set 200+ years into the future where Jin is already dead. Like a clean slate. Use the name, use the fame kind of deal. It's pretty blatant.
Less than forty people agree. You are not wrong but you are to assume how a game will be. Same as dragon age you should never act like you know how bad something can be because ultimately it can be worse
@@HugeConverse I we know it's bad enough to not be hyped about it and buy on release. Our wallets do the talking. The red flag is not just the fem protagonist, but taking a game that got to fame due to a stoic, strong male character, and then make it disappear to give the front row to a gurl buzz.
Scars in the character creator have been a thing since DAI as they changed the Engine. People with disabilities have been a thing since DAO. Not everyone has ready access to magic just because it exists. Having top survery scars in Dragon Age is idiotic, but not because of the reason you suggest.
"When it comes to the character creator, the more options the better" Here's my personal thoughts on this: 1. They have a scar section. They purposely took top surgery scars OUTSIDE the scar section. Hmm... 2. Clutter. I hate men's options mixed with women's options. Especially hair. It CLUTTERS the selection. 3. Immersion. The more clown options in the character creator, the more you detract from a crucial design goal of immersing the player. Thank god Fromsoft doesn't subscribe to "the more options the better"
The hairstyles being mixed would have been fine if they at least separated them, but they're mixed completely, like, I usually see male hairstyles first and then female hairstyles, but not in this one, this one has them all together, probably because they dislike the notion that people gender the hairstyles at all...
Totally agree. It's nice to not be barred from "male" hair cuts anymore, but it's annoying to have them cluttered. Especially since they don't seem to sort them by types anymore. It'll go long hair, mohawk, dollhair, headshaved... And the top surgery scar outside of the rest of the scar selection was just super obvious.
1:20 you should play the entire trilogy in Mass effect legendary edition. It’s still to this day one of the greatest gaming experiences I’ve ever had. And it made me extremely excited for EXODUS.
The issue with the surgery scar is what it represents, optional or not. It represents the failure in psychology to help those people, instead they encourage them to ampute body parts. Video game is not a medium in which you should encourage people to do that, no medium is. Dragon age veilguard is also dumbed down to be 'kid friendly' playdoh like characters, characters that speak like they were talking to kindergartners about real crazy topics like gender ambiguity and pronouns. Keep it in California and out of video games or fail.
Oh damn. I never really connected the childlike dialogue (appealing to children) with the very in-your-face propaganda around sexual identity, etc. I really appreciate this comment because it genuinely gave me a new perspective on that and what it could imply. Which is also very unsettling to be honest.
That it's an M rated game with childlike dialogue also doesn't help. Not to mention, it doesn't make sense in a world that has magic that can turn people into frogs, wolves, etc.
@@RexSterlingTV The thing is instead of scar, they need to have a specific "surgery scar" around the chest. You won't see that one anywhere else aside from a specific subset of current identity politic, and that's the problem.
I don't think the scars are really the problem. It will get eye rolls when seen yes. But the fact they put it in its own category and not with the other scars is what's bad. They purposely put it front and center. Not to mention it's the most detailed scar they have in the game...the rest look like tattoos that last a week...
Furthermore they could have added more body scars as well and have that as it's own category and put it in there but no instead all they have is that...
The scars themselves are not the problem... the problem is that they existing were pretty much the devs saying 'look, we are going to shove ideology in all of the game and make it a big deal"... it shouldn't be there at all, let alone highlighted. You want to have scars? make an option to add scars and move them around...put them in your forehead for all I care. I'll say something a lot of people don't want to hear / say... most normal sane people think this whole pronoun thing is for delulu people. I know we like to be kind to our 'neighbors" , but let's be real about it... a lot of them should take a lot more drugs to get right on the head... others a lot less.
Most of these issues aren't a problem in themselves but they are symptomatic of much deeper problems. Much like a persistent cough isn't going to kill you but what's causing the cough just might.
The scars are immersion breaking. The world has magic so why the need for surgery? The same reason as the peg leg you mentioned. I get it's not a big deal but it doesn't sync with the time period or the theme of the game. The same as the divisive modern language used throughout.
They went out of their way to add top scar surgeries and extra dialogue for Rooks with Transgender identity, but they couldn't bother importing our decisions from past games (not to mention that they went out of their way to destroy Southern Thedas off screen). These pseudo developers considered that continuing the Hero of Ferelden's quest to cure the calling or saving Hawke/Warden from the Fade weren't important, but they thought that making an entire quest about the abomination Taash and her gender identity problems (in the middle of an Apocalypse) was actually important. It's just... moronic.
The top surgery scar was not with the rest if the scars, so it was only done as a virtue signal. Putting it with the scars would make it not a problem.
As a biological woman, I’m honestly getting tired of this. Why does everything revolve around non-binary individuals and trans people, while biological women are metaphorically getting kicked in the balls yet again? Personally, I have no issue with the top surgery scars-it doesn’t bother me because it’s not something I have to use. However, what I don’t understand is: 1. Why aren’t they included with the other scar options? 2. Why do trans people once again get special treatment, while I don’t even have the option to set my in-game character’s chest size to match my real life one? Why does the non-binary character in the game get to say something like, “Nobody likes being a woman,” while my character just stands there without the ability to respond and say, “Actually, I enjoy being a woman. I don’t know what your problem is.” Seriously, what’s the devs’ issue with biological women? Are people like Corinne Busche, the game director and a trans woman, perhaps jealous? I honestly can’t explain it any other way, and to me, this is starting to feel borderline misogynistic.
The problem with the top surgery scars is the fact that they gave them their own dedicated setting, which is clearly needless spotlighting. Had they just kept them in the selection of the other scars no one would have batted an eye. The exclusion of things like big tits and the like is literally just because there isn't a single attractive person who worked on this game.
I'm glad many of you mentioned the placement of the option, which wasn't something that I noticed during my stream of the game. I agree that it's yet another highlight of how their development priorities for the game were totally off.
I'm 5' 7", 200+ lbs and overweight with a "dad bod" and even I have bigger boobs than Veilguard's Morrigan. They want the characters model to be ugly because if everything is uglier than them, then their sad life seems bearable.
3:36 rumor is that at one time, EA was planning to turn this franchise into an MMORPG but that was scrapped at some point before it became Dread Wolf. I wonder if that's where the art style came from.
@@VerminaeSupremacy Oh !! isn't Nutella manure !?? That strange brown paste made with some... ingredients that will induce obesity and destroy your teeths.
So once you know how little time bioware had for 2 you can definitely appreciate it better. Personally i had fun with it when it came out. Inquisition i overall liked. Though i had my issues with some of the story plot points like how alot of the choices became more black n white rather then grey like with the templars v mages choice. Veilgaurd is a slap in the face on a whole nother level.
DA:2 is actually my favorite, and then Origins. The group that worked on 2 were done dirty while Bioware bowed down to whatever time Failguard needed -.- If DA:2 had any expanded time to have been worked on, I'm sure the game would've been absolutely amazing.
Love making coffee of the tears of devs who think they're making a difference when no one buys their game. 10:40 really dude... u don't know what's wrong with it. Think computer. It's a toggle for a reason and not just a scar selection on the scar picks.
I bet these woke developers wished that most gamers had as much tolerance as Rex. It's people like him that they are trying to make ground from to push their agenda. Throughout this whole video all I heard was "I got a high tolerance" and "I don't think this was a big deal". Listen... if I'm spending my hard earned money and it's blatantly clear to me that real world agendas are being pushed in a fantasy setting, I'm steering clear of it. I'm not sitting around to play it and telling myself "it's not that bad". Shit like this pulls you straight out of the setting imo. Zero sense of escapism achieved lol.
You are doing yourself a MASSIVE disservice by not playing the Mass Effect series. The first game came out in 2007 and absolutely still holds up today. *Edit: on a gaming PC :)
Rex, you HAVE TO STREAM Mass Effect Trilogy! I think it will bring in a swell of viewership the same way that FF7 did! One of the greatest trilogies of all time
Sell the IP to Larian Studios. They can go back and reset the series and make a true sequel to DAO. They could even hire Mike Laidlaw to come in to either consult or be on the team.
08:55 I mean... I wonder why? Is it really an overreacting if it keep happening again and again? If anything... a lot of people are "under" reacting, letting them get away with it... which in turn is making it all a lot worse. The moral high ground is nice and all... but it is clearly not helping against the people trying to (and being successful so far) destroy all the fun and replace it with ideology. Being milk toast about didn't help against anita... and it also wont help against this generation of crazy. It is like the "no preorder" rule, it is their job to regain our trust... not our job to give them money and hope for the best.
Could you imagine seeing front office workers or athletes of pro sports franchises saying they brew coffee from the tears of their fans? Imagine the Cleveland Browns saying this after the hell they’ve been through. The only reason they still have fans is because they don’t do this.
The surgery scars arent a big deal but its a big deal for fans of dragon age. Its set in a yime where im sure youd die from a cold, yet you're telling us they have reassignment technology? They dont even have electricity.
Just like you, I never hated any Dragon Age game until Veilguard. DA2 had its flaws, mainly due to it being released in a short time and that it was originally planned as DLC, but I loved playing Hawke. She doesn't want to be a heroine, just someone seeking safety for herself and her family. It's very Greek tragedy. And in Inquisition they brought back things I liked about Origins modernized in its gameplay despite the AI being horrible because it was planned for multiplayer. They are still DA, but Veilguard? DA is just the name and nothing more. And to add, the female gaze does not automatically mean that a female character stops being pretty, indeed, I would say that the gaze from a woman is when a female character is the most beautiful, regardless of her type of femininity. And we can see it in Arcane, Mel is gorgeous, Vi and Caitlyn too, and they all have a different femininity.
My problem with the top scars is that they won't make sense. It's a setting advanced enough to even have the surgery AND they have widespread healing magic. Scars are understandable to a degree because in battle there might not always be healers available in a timely matter, but if you're going for a surgical procedure there'd be no way they won't have healers on stand-by.
All this DEI crap has just pushed me to get that knee jerk reaction, every time I spot something that shouldn't be there. Like Ghost of Yotei, I felt it immediately while watching the trailer. I didn't even know about the voice actor, I found out later which just confirmed my reaction. I'm sorry but that game is going to be garbage as well. I don't remember where I got this, but apparently these people think that you're going to buy the game, and later on, find the surprise turd that they put in it. Like some sick and twisted gotcha moment. Why?, I have no idea, they're the ones with the mental disorder. I guess they'll never understand that it only takes 20 seconds of trailer footage to see that their game is going to be full of this garbage
"With Magic maybe they could heal it.." Wouldnt that happen with the transitions as well..like it grows back everytime.. Healer cast heal.. NOOOOOOooooooo God dang it! Every damn time!
You really should play at least Mass Effect 1-3. It should be a " must have played" for every Gamer, that´s how good Bioware once was. And now i realized again how bad they are now. 😭
No one is going to buy the next title, On principal They will pull out all the stops, Such as putting a new team together, Changing the company making the game… They may even make an objectively good game… But on principal, You need to NOT purchase the game Never forget what happened to this series. Even if you don’t care about this series? Yours could be next
So the implemented top surgery scars to give their audience a tool for representation. How about a missing ear, limb? What about cleft lip scars? What about all the other conditions a human beeing can suffer from? I guess they are all just demanding to much compared to modern audience😅
My personal issue with the top surgery scars is that in a world where magic is real, the scars are the same way they'd be if they were removed via surgery with our specific tools. It just feels out of place where there could be more lore accurate or less immersion breaking ways to implement it
Neve has a prosthetic leg for dei and woke points on twitter, like that operator in R6 siege that’s in a wheelchair, then I play elden ring, fight Melania & want a prosthetic because damn wtf that shits sick, like the swords attached to the arm, giving the sword more functionality, speed and movement because of the prosthetic and it looks cool af.
10:45 What is wrong with it is that kids will play this game at some point, they will see it, they will conclude that this is the new normal and might be indoctrinated into this ideology. Just think through why they put it there, specifically in a game where being the other gender would be as easy as making some kind of pact or magic or whatever. And where scars could be easily healed. You are right, more options in a character creator is usually better, but keep in mind these are not "chest scars" or "face scars", these represent something.
Ghost was allegedly going to have Jin but was then gutted to make what it is now. I can see Jin escaping to the mountains then learning duel wielding as he was hunted by warriors sent by the emperor. On the top scars they dont bother me but they dont make sense in a world where a transition could happen with a spell/ritual.
In my opinion, for the top surgery scars: If I'm a woman that feels like I should be a man and identify as a man I would play a man, vice versa. Needing to remove my breasts with the toggle of the top surgery scars legit would just remind me that I'm a "man" trap in a woman's body. So this toggle is kinda dumb in my opinion of course.
I think the Ghost of Yotei situation is different because yes there will be people who complained to want Jin back The problem isn't the female character, it's the person playing that role that has created the most chaos around this game They obviously chose a person who was quite questionable for the thoughts and comments she made And as always everything revolves around that sick world People are now out of control They stand with their eyes and ears alert Both publishers and developers should be good at minimizing these things and trying to stay as far away as possible from certain topics It doesn't happen and this is where the chaos will arise Developers who attack determined gamers insult them I don't understand whoever is in charge can allow certain things to be done At one time these things led to dismissals for making the company look bad
@LateNightCaveman same! I let it slide for inquisition. I could only play about 10-15 hours before I lost all interest. I did not understand what was going on with the "modernification" of games at the time.
@@ScouterVee I knew something was off when the remaining writing team worked on DA: Origins' DLC. Immediately noticeable downgrade in writing for those. Especially the "quirky" female trapped in a male golem body with male voice companion. Bioware died INSTANTLY when EA bought them. Post Origins, pre-Origins DLC.
I always hear from some people that DA was always woke. No it wasn't. It was always diverse, but not woke. In previous DA games, diversity enhanced character backgrounds and story. Zevran, Anders, Dorian even Leliana. All characters who are well liked and well written. This is how diversity and gender are supposed to work in games. Now take Veilguard, where diversity and gender is at the forefront of characters and story. It defines the characters and turns them into check boxes and virtue signals at the cost of immersion, character growth and atory telling, not to memtion abyssmal dialogues with modern lingua written by UCA Berkley liberal arts students for a middle school theater club. Not to mention it feels like a therapy session for someone with mommy and/or daddy issues. The only think I like about the game are the enviroment graphics.
I think you and I have very different definitions of what "woke" means. You seem to view it as an insult, while I see it as something positive. In my opinion, the previous Dragon Age games were "woke," and that wasn’t a bad thing. However, DA: TV is just… messed up, and it’s clear they had an agenda. I wish they’d focus on writing good characters first, and let their identities come naturally afterward.
@lcicada Yeah, that's what woke once was supposed to be. Unfortunatelly it isn't any longer in they perception of the majority and it's the extremists on the far left fault.
I think the reason the comparison to Fortnite is ALWAYS an insult is because of two reasons; Fortnite is complete pandery shit and is almost exclusively played only by little kids and people who want to profit off of little kids.
I don't care about the scar slider, but they intentionally restricted the character creator to make it really hard to make believable and attractive characters. There are no feminine and male faces anymore to chose from, just a mixture of bad templates that encompass hyper-exagerated features of both genders and a slider to emphasize one of both features to monstrous proportions. You can create women with manjaws, chubby cheeks and big, sticking out foreheads or men with feminine rounded chins, painted womenly lips and big animegirl-like feminine eyes on a face belonging to an adamless neck, leading to a gender-neutral missing collarbone and a genderless torso that looks anorexic and diseased.
There's one point I disagree with, and that's at 12:17 it's okay to see yourself and people like you depicted in media. That's not a problem, and it's mostly harmless. Plus, Dragon Age is an RPG series with a character creator and choices. So, it is okay for people to make a self-insert and play a version of themselves. Like the original video said it's "escapism". You can create whoever and make choices in that world. That being said, Dragon Age: Veilguard sucked as an RPG and as a form of escapism.
The thing that makes no sense whatsoever is the fact that Patrick Weekes is in fact a writer and although I don't care for his writing style, he is a capable writer. He was the writer for Taash. There is absolutely no valid reason why this character was so badly written considering his talent. No one was reading this terrible dialogue? No one was supervising this garbage? I gotta be honest, it feels like the game was written by two different teams of people. The foundation of the game including Solas' arc and ambient dialogue in the various areas by one team, then the companion/faction dialogue and quests by another team. The game feels like it has two distinct vibes and it just feels like two different teams wrote it. I'm thinking that parts of the game were already scripted when the infamous layoffs occurred. After the fallout the focus just wasn't on writing anymore but on making a political statement. I remember when David Gaiter who was the lead writer for the Dragon Age left it was largely due to the fact that he felt undervalued as a writer. I feel like Patrick Weekes must have been on permanent vacation during the writing of this game or maybe he is too concerned with his personal life and being non-binary. Seems he largely self inserted with Taash. SMH.
Inclusion in Fantasy should be done through Fantastical means. Top surgery scars make no sense in a world with magic that can morph your body, or heal the most grievous wounds imaginable and leave no trace of it. A missing foot should be replaced by something more interesting than a peg leg. A missing hand should be more interesting than a prosthesis that looks like you could get one today. Being paralyzed from the waist down has so many creative ways for the person to potentially use magic or magical items to replicate that functionality, like a set of enchanted armoured grieves that can basically give them the ability to walk while wearing them; or even riding a magic carpet or magical beast instead of a wheel chair. The biggest issue is the creatively bankrupt people making this stuff. They don't have the imagination to make this stuff interesting and weave it into the world itself.
The problem with Top Surgery Scars isn't because it got included, it's because ONLY it was included. Let me elaborate: - Can't have wide muscles as a man - Can't have distinct muscles as a man - Can't have non-pointy jawline as a woman - Can't have big breasts as a woman - Can't have a big ass period - Lack of hairstyle variety, most follow the same DEIsign philosophy (god forbid you have cute bangs) The character creator is absolute shit.
Trained: is when a company hires a DEI operative to come in to work to push it on the employees. Learning: is when you recognize where DEI has been infused without having a third party point it out.
Am... am I supposed to be ashamed of my boobs? Is that what they're saying? Is having boobs wrong now? Can we not have boobs? Shit. Cancel women, cancel them all!
I never had an issue with top surgery scars... but I never saw the point. I just assumed you could magically give yourself breast or magically remove them. Or hell, magically change your gender. The fact that they added top surgery scars, but wouldn't allow busty or big booty characters is wild to me. Why not give players the option to make sexy men and women AND give us options that the trans gamers would also enjoy? It really didn't have to be an "either this or that" scenario...
The big failure here is that Veilguard was in Production under a guy who want to be a woman and was not born as a woman. He can be what he want, but if he were actually a woman, he would know that with Pregnancy in the most cases the Breasts gets even bigger, maybe after Breastfeeding they gave in to the gravity, but they dont get smaller 😅
I've seen a French video by activists who defended Veilguard saying that is cool despite all the bad qualities behind it (to sums it up, they only discussed about the character Taash and the character creation...not the gameplay or writing). Of course if you disagree with it, you're a Gamergater, a chud, a virgin...well all the insults you can imagine.
You take that back! When I was a kid I watched Saturday morning cartoons like X-men and Spiderman and the writing in those shows were way better than the DAV garbage! Hell, even Disney Afternoon shows like Darkwing Duck and Tailspin had better writing for their characters and plot!
Thanks for exposing these bad devs so we can avoid any work of theirs in the future. Just finished Veilguard, its an graphically updated DA 2 without the excellent story sad to say. Angry about how they treated Varric.
For me the surgery scars are not so much they are included, but more about the fact its own option, why not have the surgery scars under regluar scars?
The past couple years have been every form of dysfunction and paraphilia possible. They cram it into our games and we have to deal with it . I think based on the resounding no from the game players, the industry needs to know that this time is shifted and don’t be making this crap anymore
ill correct you with the C cup business in the character creator, it was an A cup at best. at maxxed out butt and breast sizes 90+ percent of the female population was excluded. so diverse right? we cared about what it meant for the game, it infected the rest of it. how can you say the game is so inclusive and diverse when you can't make a good looking character for shit. plus why would you have top surgery scars in a game that magic is a reality and shapeshifting is common practice among mages. the identity politics, and removing the "male gaze issue" took center stage, and it shows with the writing, that also treats you like you have the memory of a goldfish.
The issue with the scars isn't the scars. Its a multilayered cake that starts with separation of said scars from the other scar presets. Why does it need to be its own separate option? The vast majority could easily look past this (myself included) if the bust and glute sliders didn't feel like an after thought. On top of those 2 layers, you have a giant layer of the most blunt, preachy, cringy, and bland dialogue ever. Next, you have a series of other layers which will differ from person to person, but at the very top of all of this, you have the anti-marketing and messaging that clearly pushed a certain narrative with no room for genuine discussion. (That last bit is key, as the inability to discuss and debate freely and civilly is what turns progressivism into wokism.) All these layers make it impossible to overlook the scars option, acting like a beacon or neon sign. This is just my two cents as an outsider looking in. Haven't played any dragon-age games, so take from this what you will. XD
The fortnight insult is like a gamer telling another gamer to go play minecraft 😂. Another non thought is Taash being They/Them but stating several times dragons are Queens not Kings 😂.
I'm thinking about making some video games myself, and I think it would be fun to take the piss on this, by making a two robots, where one is binary and the other is non-binary aka a standard robot and a quantum robot. I'd love to see the internet's reaction to that!

The hairstyles being mixed would have been fine if they at least separated them, but they're mixed completely, like, I usually see male hairstyles first and then female hairstyles, but not in this one, this one has them all together, probably because they dislike the notion that people gender the hairstyles at all...
Im just surprised they said male/female and not a or b
Totally agree. It's nice to not be barred from "male" hair cuts anymore, but it's annoying to have them cluttered. Especially since they don't seem to sort them by types anymore. It'll go long hair, mohawk, dollhair, headshaved...
And the top surgery scar outside of the rest of the scar selection was just super obvious.
1:20 you should play the entire trilogy in Mass effect legendary edition. It’s still to this day one of the greatest gaming experiences I’ve ever had. And it made me extremely excited for EXODUS.
The ME trilogy is sacred to me… Forever.
Bad news coming for 5....same game director
@@UniqueBreakfastTaco As long as they have a way better writing team I think I can sleep at night with that info.
@@SPOOKYTIMEZ2099 its the same team bro...thats why there's no DLC coming for DAO, everyone shifted to ME
@@UniqueBreakfastTaco Let me cope bro. Too many bad news in gaming right now so I’m giving myself a little bit of hope even if it’s tiny.
Self mutilation being promoted in today's society is crazy.
Most people in CA do not agree with the madness. You’re thinking of if cities.
Bruh, we all know what this shit is. No need to make it politically correct.
The game director did the same to the Sims, and he's gonna do it to mass effect 5 as well.
However, what I don’t understand is:
I don’t know what your problem is.”
Seriously, what’s the devs’ issue with biological women? Are people like Corinne Busche, the game director and a trans woman, perhaps jealous? I honestly can’t explain it any other way, and to me, this is starting to feel borderline misogynistic.
only trans women are real women
I had not heard that! I heard multiple reboots but yeah I could definitely see this artstyle for live-service or MMO. Thanks for the comment!
Veilguard is being praised like its game of the year from some people.
These people would eat manure and say it’s Nutella
@@VerminaeSupremacy Oh !! isn't Nutella manure !?? That strange brown paste made with some... ingredients that will induce obesity and destroy your teeths.
They will vote it as GOTY. Just watch... while Stella Blade and Black Myth Wukong probably won't even get a single award
Dragonaid vailgard most succesfull EA single player game so far.not everybody interest this internet drama.
Screw awards and triple a games. Those fake ass people hate themselves
The group that worked on 2 were done dirty while Bioware bowed down to whatever time Failguard needed -.-
If DA:2 had any expanded time to have been worked on, I'm sure the game would've been absolutely amazing.
Love making coffee of the tears of devs who think they're making a difference when no one buys their game.
10:40 really dude... u don't know what's wrong with it. Think computer. It's a toggle for a reason and not just a scar selection on the scar picks.
The top surgery scars are a big deal and should not be in a fantasy videogame
I love the series and will replay it again. I won't buy anything now unless its second hand older games.
Bioware already lost Baldurs Gate to Larian :D
Mass effect most amazing trilogy ever.
The surgery scars represent spending effort checking a bunch of diversity boxes rather than making a game.
Yeah, the inclusivity in this game is so... in your face... and the writing is abhorrent!
As Fleekazoid says it, "BUDGET CUTS!!"...
"With Magic maybe they could heal it.."
Wouldnt that happen with the transitions as well..like it grows back everytime..
Healer cast heal..
NOOOOOOooooooo
God dang it! Every damn time!
"Nooooo, my pussing axe wound!"
You really should play at least Mass Effect 1-3. It should be a " must have played" for every Gamer, that´s how good Bioware once was. And now i realized again how bad they are now. 😭
Mary Kirby was one of those Bioware/EA laid off several months ago.FYI.
No one is going to buy the next title, On principal
They will pull out all the stops, Such as putting a new team together, Changing the company making the game… They may even make an objectively good game…
But on principal, You need to NOT purchase the game
Never forget what happened to this series. Even if you don’t care about this series? Yours could be next
Dev teams already working on ME5
So the implemented top surgery scars to give their audience a tool for representation. How about a missing ear, limb? What about cleft lip scars? What about all the other conditions a human beeing can suffer from? I guess they are all just demanding to much compared to modern audience😅
congrats on 1k almost 2k!
Thank you so much! My goal was 1k by December - I'm blown away
My personal issue with the top surgery scars is that in a world where magic is real, the scars are the same way they'd be if they were removed via surgery with our specific tools. It just feels out of place where there could be more lore accurate or less immersion breaking ways to implement it
👏👏
WOW! Your support and generousity truly means the world to me. Thank you!
Making the general public aware of top surgery scars has made being stealth nearly impossible because now they'll know how clock us.
I'm interested to see what Nexusmods does with mods for DA:V. They'll nuke anything that changes any of the characters
I looked for fun. Mainly character creation sliders and color correction.
Sorry man but I think the problem is that they did put a lot of thought into it and that was the result they came up with.
I think the Ghost of Yotei situation is different because yes there will be people who complained to want Jin back
The problem isn't the female character, it's the person playing that role that has created the most chaos around this game
They obviously chose a person who was quite questionable for the thoughts and comments she made
And as always everything revolves around that sick world
People are now out of control
They stand with their eyes and ears alert
Both publishers and developers should be good at minimizing these things and trying to stay as far away as possible from certain topics
It doesn't happen and this is where the chaos will arise
Developers who attack determined gamers insult them
I don't understand whoever is in charge can allow certain things to be done
At one time these things led to dismissals for making the company look bad
"I liked Dragon Age 2 and Inquisition"
It's okay, bro. Nobody's perfect. God still loves you.
they werent bad games just could be a little better
Ogre bringing heat haha.
Parts of them were good.
"The shirt says look at me the chest says look away" 😆😆😆
At 4:17 Hmm, I vaguely remember watching captain planet as a kid and I don't remember the dialogue being as bad as what I've seen in veilguard...
6:50 i just want to know why? did the company think yeah this is the person who should make our game. the one that aim to piss the fan base.....
@lcicada
Yeah, that's what woke once was supposed to be.
It does make sense, Rex. "They" want to look at flat chests because "they" prefer them young.
The problem with Top Surgery Scars isn't because it got included, it's because ONLY it was included. Let me elaborate:
- Can't have wide muscles as a man
- Can't have distinct muscles as a man
- Can't have non-pointy jawline as a woman
- Can't have big breasts as a woman
- Can't have a big ass period
- Lack of hairstyle variety, most follow the same DEIsign philosophy (god forbid you have cute bangs)
The character creator is absolute shit.
These "writers" should get fact-checked then rejected from the industry. They're only in it for themselves
the scars weren't the problem, but they limited body proportions.
Women also love playing as baddies.
You don't see what's wrong with top surgery scars being an option in a game universe with magic?
Imagine being a professional in any other industry and showing open detest for your clients/customers in your bio or email signature.
Dragon Age The Veilguard is one of the worst I ever seen in my entire life
came across ur content via Asmond and had to drop a sub. U seem like a lvl headed dude with actual common sense. Kudos to u
Of course if you disagree with it, you're a Gamergater, a chud, a virgin...well all the insults you can imagine.
new here but you should play the mass effect trilogy id totally want to watch someone's first playthrough of it
You take that back! When I was a kid I watched Saturday morning cartoons like X-men and Spiderman and the writing in those shows were way better than the DAV garbage! Hell, even Disney Afternoon shows like Darkwing Duck and Tailspin had better writing for their characters and plot!
I better not say anything.
its a sad state of everything when people get upset over video game boobs and butts
5:30 Same thing happened in Tekken8 to most of the girls. Especially Xiaoyu 😡
I don't get Mary Kirby tweet about Lucanis... He's sweet and intereactions with him are nice 🤔🤔🤔
Either they didn't use her writing or... she just sucked. 😅
@theesper7404 I suspect that they changed her work... But we will never know for sure...
Actually you can barely be obese (or overly muscular) because they are too incompetent to design armor for it.
Thanks for exposing these bad devs so we can avoid any work of theirs in the future.
Just finished Veilguard, its an graphically updated DA 2 without the excellent story sad to say. Angry about how they treated Varric.
"I've only ever played Dragon Age" Yeah, we can tell.
For me the surgery scars are not so much they are included, but more about the fact its own option, why not have the surgery scars under regluar scars?
Fortnite is free. Veilguard is not. No kids are going to pay for the garbage.
you right
Darvin has more cleavage than Neve it's actually funny. They were both in a scene in my playthrough, which made me laugh.
Rex. You spelled ACTIVISTS wrong.
Does anyone else remember when dragon age was pitchef as a dark fantasy version of Kotor...
The past couple years have been every form of dysfunction and paraphilia possible.
They cram it into our games and we have to deal with it .
I think based on the resounding no from the game players, the industry needs to know that this time is shifted and don’t be making this crap anymore
Neve (indian woman) even has one of those headresses that look like a frikkin mosquito coil...
ill correct you with the C cup business in the character creator, it was an A cup at best. at maxxed out butt and breast sizes 90+ percent of the female population was excluded. so diverse right? we cared about what it meant for the game, it infected the rest of it. how can you say the game is so inclusive and diverse when you can't make a good looking character for shit. plus why would you have top surgery scars in a game that magic is a reality and shapeshifting is common practice among mages. the identity politics, and removing the "male gaze issue" took center stage, and it shows with the writing, that also treats you like you have the memory of a goldfish.
Criticizing the size of ass and tits detracts heavily from real, important issues with the writing.
8:40 careful, you may step in the same cycle as Dragon Age Veilguard 😂😂
5:02 Also, why is she Indian she's supposed to be Teventer?
this dude is part of the problem
Such a great video and takes!
THANK YOU!
No one is mad that there are female heros, we have had them since go. Its the why that is bothering folks.
(That last bit is key, as the inability to discuss and debate freely and civilly is what turns progressivism into wokism.)
All these layers make it impossible to overlook the scars option, acting like a beacon or neon sign.
