Get your facts right. I have played this guitar. This is one fucking good guitar!!! I pity those who never tried playing it...
I agree with you... I had the luck to test out this guitar... It smashed my head just like Dean Razorback.... Even on cheap AMP (Squier 30 W) this guitar(s) provide very good sound... I hope I'll change my Yamaha ERG with this one... Also I think I saw last week this guitar at Ebay for 590$ (without D# string) All must agree that guitar is unique and it's not cheap.... it's expensive guitar that require some skills to unlock it's madness!

Go for this guitar and you will not regret. This is a super deal for the price you pay. The Rockfield pickups have a lot of character and are very unique. Picked up a Trace warbeast in excellent shape with the BCR pickups today for a measly $50. I drive over an hour to get it. I think I steal it for that and plan to put some hotter pickups in it eventually.
I like guitars with these types of designs, that's why I like B.C. Rich guitars and Dean Guitars over all other guitars. If I had a signature guitar made by a brand it would probably be made by B.C. Rich.

Well that's not true, I've played pretty much every one in the market (including warlocks, warbeast, V's, Warbeast V, ect.) and I can agree that the lower costing models sound bad and arnt the best. But.. the more expensive models sounds amazing. The reason i love B.C. Rich is how its varsitle, easy to shred on, good tone, and an amazing look. Dont get me wrong there are other guitars out there way better than B.C. Rich.
There is another version with active PUPS (81+85) and white stripe. Someone do not like actives , so this could be great choice (I have it). I has really heavy sound, even with a standard tuning. This (WMD) one gets good output from many people.
I ordered mine today, also a WMD like this one. They are way behind with delivering them, i was lucky they had one that was ordered but not taken. Otherwise i would have had to order it directly from the factory. This Guitar will one day become a absolute classic, i can't wait to own it.
@HabboTeck i likes warlocks horns. They are not so agressive to your body. but the most comfortable shape would be something like "lockbeast". Front of Lock and back fin of beast. The back is graet for your arm to rest.
Ive got this guitar. pure epicness! Ive also installed an push-pull-pot so i can split the pickups to singlecoils, really nice for rockfields! the neck mafia as singlecoil got the best clean sound ive ever heard!

@PsYcOCicIAl I would say Warlock would be a bit better choice because it has better front horns. Not a big hassle, but if you want the max, go with warlock in the same class.
oh and thought id just add the difference between a whammy and a floyd rose is that a floyd rose is better and it goes both ways instead of just pushing it in
I bought one a few days ago used, it doesn't have the floyd rose though. I got it for $260 which is less than i paid for my Ibanez, and don't get me wrong my Ibanez is an amazng guitar and they are a great brand, but for playing really heavy metal styles i'd recomend this guitar for the sound and playability, it frets easy, stays in tune, and has an awesome sound. I will more than likely use this while recording and on stage. It picks up harmonics great as well. it isn't perfect but it's good.
@JonnoThomas Yes, the lower one are crap but the Pro ones and this one are very good guitars !! This one comes with an original floyd rose and i have to say it´s better than lots of Gibsons i tried ...
A very sleek-looking guitar, and those red bevels are a nice accent! Some very fat AC/DC-like tones on that medium-gain setting! However, full-on distortion is where the character of that guitar comes alive.
My birthday is coming up soon and I don't know to either get a Warbeast or SG Gibson. I'm more into metal and I know that the Warbeast will give me that heavy sound, not to mention it is a awesome/metal looking guitar. Then again will I be able to play stuff like Nirvana, AC/DC, Foo Fighters etc, because I think the SG will be for them type of bands. Someone please share there opinions.
maybe for a time they were. everything more recent is either mahogany or alder which are both really good. mahogany being warmer and alder being brighter. they are still good guitars
yea but that's the onyx version. it's quite a bit more expensive cause as u'll c it has tremelo but the 200 buck 1 doesnt. that 1 also has better pickups
this guitar rocks. i went to guitar center but they didnt have the one with the red outlines so i just the regular warbeast. but still, b.c. rich makes some of the crazest guitars out there =)
Got mine for christmas too, though i gave it to me myself ;) Whatever you do, play with lots of distortion. This guitar is made for heavy metal, you should give it what it asks for.

To a true metal player, a true BC Rich player, clean is no effects such as phaser, flange, etc. You always gotta have the distort.
many people say that bc rich warlocks beasts and warbeasts are uncomfortable but it isnt, its kinda smooth! (ive got a warlock)

You have to add a battery slot. My guitar teacher took one of my friend's guitars that was passive and put in EMGs and everything works fine with it.

My 80's warlock was very bassy with the stock pickups. A set of late 70's vintage Bill Lawrence pickups fixed the highs. I should take some pics.

@SuperSherbo its an effect made by a pedal (don´t remenber the name because i don´t really liked) but some multieffects have it..

yeah i know, though i don't think mine is really supposed to be loose cause it makes a crackling sound and wiggles when loose and using it
i got a fender frontman 15g- i think its a good practice amp. good distortion and good clean. its quite cheap too

i think hes using his left fingers to strum/pinch harmonic the strings...the whammy bar makes the sound go lower and lower of course
personal preference simba, whatever shape/sound suits you
(it is actually chorus flanger) some in the beginning. some megadeth songs also have some chorus flange.

they are some nice clean tones but of course the distortion is great as well
