- In this 2017 GDC talk, Microsoft's Nikunj Raghuvanshi and John Tennant discuss both the technical and design aspects of Project Titan, a new audio system that robustly models complex wave phenomena such as diffraction, scattered reflections and reverberation on static 3D level geometry environment, and shipped in Gears of War 4.
GDC talks cover a range of developmental topics including game design, programming, audio, visual arts, business management, production, online games, and much more. awesome talk... I'm in my last year of a Music Tech degree and working with games has always been a potential avenue... this definitely is pushing me more towards that direction
Amazing stuff. I love the fact they came to share it.
Really great stuff...looking forward to see Triton evolve and implemented in more'n'more games. Thanks for sharing!
Maybe this has to do with how humans process these inputs...but thats just a wild guess :) Never played GOW, but this demonstration was pretty cool. The only other game i can think of (with similar great audio) is GTA 5.
This is so cool. I wish I knew more about acoustics.
how does this have only 3 comments? its fuckiiing epic !!!
Thanks, Russian Punch :)
I never would have found this tech if not for this channel. m.ua-cam.com/video/W4R9WmJWx7k/v-deo.html
Any updates for this? You got me interested and I hope next gen games got this implemented
