Really loved this one. It feels like a really good and basic game about invasions : what works, what quite doesn't, when is it needed, what you might end up giving away by doing so even if you live, etc.
I really really thought this game was from last week because of a comment you made in this game that referred to another game. It felt so familiar. Can't remember the comment though...
Wish you have reviewed 11:48 ! :-/ As always, very cool game and thank you for sharing the lesson. I was reminded of your Legend88 game as it almost looks like you 3-3'd him and then lived in the middle.
at 15:35 the shape is called 'The Dead Pyramid' - its such a cool name batts you missed a chance to show it off! (its called 'Pyramid Four' but because its a dead shape its often named 'The Dead Pyramid Four')
Yeah its ok. I accidentally revealed it repeatedly on stream so i wasn't trying that hard anymore. And now the account is back to its owner so its fine~
Love the basics and this was great. One question would be when you say he invaded in the middle of nowhere what would be to alternative places that would be good moves? (I realize you mentioned he did some slow and small moves before that but at this point what would be good?)
If your opponents stones are on the fourth line, invade on the third line and look for slide under and attach under. Like, in the game H3 would've been better. In this situation, there are also move sequences like Black D5, C5, D4, C4, E3, D2, H3. Batts capping move was not the best imo, because after the cap, black could attach to the corner and get a sabaki shape. I think batts should've played a keima from the corner at E5 in response to blacks sub-optimal invasion. That way, white strengthens his corner and attacks black indirectly, if black runs, white can claim the left side in a big moyo.
K13 really did not sit well with me. Would something like E13 to build left side while still sort of threatening to reduce be a good move? The way I see it if they defend you grow bigger on the left and if they invade left you get to attack and still reduce with support hopefully.
@@taemyr "hopefully" as related to the support part. I am not saying I am right. I am saying that is what I am thinking. If someone can explain why that is not good idea I am listening. That is why I asked. :-)

Oh, shoot! I forgot to release this last week >

Yes it would’ve been nice to see how this could have gone bad!
17:50 Would have been fun to see where you'd have invaded here.

I've also heard "farmer's hat"
In 18:35 could you just play the diagonal at H6 for better shape instead of 3 at J7?
Great video as always! Thanks for it!

Just so you know you forgot to move the cover your name bar at 22:03.

So if black were to invade the top where would you play? I know Alphago always want to play D4 against the large knight.

Video shows an easy win after K13. Replacing that with a "hopefully" seems dubious.
