It wasn’t a good biopic. They’re right that Rami Malek acted like more like a generic rockstar, and you’re right that Freddie was nowhere near that.
Bale shoulda gotten that Oscar, and hopefully one day we’ll get a BETTER movie from all of this than Bohemian Rhapsody.
Christopher Burgess I have. He’s such an incredibly dedicated actor. He went from that movie to Batman Begins in 4 months. He’s changed his body so many times and worked so hard.
I like Rami but he didn’t deserve a win.
The movie was basically Walk Hard but 10x the vanilla and was made to be taken seriously. Half of it was lies.
Scott’s Lock of the Week is one of the things I always look forward to in these.

41 minutes of pure gold. Thanks Adam, really needed something like this to brighten up this terrible week.

That Kanye impression was really good actually.
As was the Eminem impression. XD
“Ima let you finish, but Venom” 👌🏻
Awfully hot coffee pot.
*VENOOOOOM*
I’m a bad, bad media studies student, and even I noticed the bad editing of Bohemian Rhapsody
22:23 I love that, even though Adam didn't agree with Spider-verse winning best animated feature, he still bashed the oscars for just cutting them off like that
Sometimes I question whether I'm too snobby and picky with movies, since I almost always disagree with my family on movies we watch. But the fact that Adam thinks Isle of Dogs was better than the groundbreaking Into the Spider-Verse makes me feel like a fair judge of film
Green Book winning best picture was literally the most out of touch old white man decision these out of touch old white men could have done
*Old jewish men
I was like "ok old farts from the academy,If you want to show yourself as not racist, give it to Blackkklansman. I don't love the film, but It was ambitious i Guess."
My favorite film was Cold War,and I fucking hated Vice as a best picture nominated,so i didn't care about The oscars

I no longer care to be honest I was just glad overrated ROMA lost.
@Arnold Akbar because it's not PC
"feel like thats what madonna is gonna look like in 40 years"
"uh thats what madonna is gonna look like on tuesday"
The plot of Skin sounds like something out of a South park episode
I can imagine the racist dad going “DERK” when he gets shot.
by far the most cringe moment is the lady gaga and Bradley Cooper piano bit because his wife was in the audience
Cuckquean is an even funnier word than cuckold.

Jesse Russell oh my god! That’s a good point! Maybe she saw the film aswell 😱 that would be hella awkward because they *whisper it* kiss!!!

If only Waluigi did win the 2019 awards...
**IMPROMPTU PERFORMANCE BY EMINEM**
They say hindsight is 2020...
I don’t see Spike Lee as Waluigi. I see him as the driver of the Knight Bus from Harry Potter.
Wait I thought you meant that talking head.
He looks like a mix between Waluigi and Jotaro
Or the Joker if he was 'the Joker' while in high school in 2019...

That Idris Elba commercial plus your reactions had me in tears

80's: Driving Miss Daisy
90's: Shakespeare in Love
2000's: Crash
2010's: Green Book
At least Driving Mrs. Daisy was an awesome play before it was turned into a movie. Yeah, in retrospect, it's not all that, but it's leagues better then green book.
As best picture winners go, you can't do worst than Crash.
why the hate towards green book i loved it twice 😁
Do people not like Crash?
@@Naruto_from_the_Naruto_show Imo the movie does have some really good thought provoking moments or meanings.
But the movie has some really dumb moments especially the part with the daughter the the gun with blank bullets just felt completely ham-fisted. So it had those good moments but overall got a boost just from its subject matter and not the actual parts that made it a movie.
The “yesterday I had a fever... and the only prescription” killed me 37:29
this is also the 1 year anniversary of ralphthemoviemaker coming out as a furry 🎂

Honestly, Black Panther should’ve won Best Animated Movie.
That climatic scene with the rhinos and the costumes was Pixar's best work in a while.
All jokes aside Black Panther does have good graphics for a PS2 game
That claymation battle almost looked like CG
That would have to be Infinity War. That movie had some 2500 VFX shots, about 96 percent! The stipulation of eligibility for animated films is they be 75% or more animated and Infinity War crossed that line, spat on it and stomped it flat!
pretty fucking sure Disney tried that little fuckery, so they’d have 3 animations to compete with spiderverse
It’s kind of heartbreaking seeing Chadwick so skinny knowing now what he had been going through.
Remember when Ralph outed himself as a furry
Remember that Adam mounted a defense of sex with dogs
And Jack Douglas
And now, the weather.

Lol I missed that
these adum and pals just keep getting longer and I keep getting happier
Isn't "Adum and Pals get longer" their OTHER video
I don't watch the Academy Awards if I can avoid it because the Academy doesn't watch animated movies if they can avoid it. But this commentary was much more entertaining than just watching the annual festival of drunken celebrities patting each other on the back for two hours.
Oscars: "Harvey Weinstein is a terrible human being and we hate him. Now let's give our 4 awards to that Bryan Singer movie. He is such a great guy who did absolutely nothing wrong."
Michael Strong and to make things worse Bohemian Rhapsody didn't deserve any of it's awards. It'd be one thing if it was a great movie but it's trash
That Idris Alba tv commercial gave me nightmares.
EDIT: That Skin short film was the funniest comedy I have ever seen.
It's almost 2020 and that "Best Picture winner, Emma Stone" line is still making me laugh.
This video is 41 minutes and 23 seconds longer than the Oscars should actually be.
Oh, Roma was directed by Alfonso Cuaron? That man's got such a good track record in film-making. His adaptation of A Little Princess is one of my absolute favorite childhood classics.
"Yesterday I had a fever..."
"And the only prescription..."
"SHUT UP"
I lost ten bucks to my dad since I bet him black panther would win best picture. Still hilarious how many it won.
But Happy Chapman was the Blacc Catman
Same, but it was a bet with my whole extended family. I extolled my future win for days, and lowered several people's opinion of the Oscars in the process. Many were dreading the fact I would be right. Cursing my name as it starting stacking gold.
And yet, they fell into the greatest depression when Green Book won. No one lost money, no one won money. Just a massive anti-climax.
It kind of deserved those awards. Didn’t deserve a best picture nom though.
I would love Mulaney to host, but this year was so much better without one and he’d probably be forced to write unfunny and non controversial jokes that will just ruin it. I don’t want to see him forced to be bad
The Notorious Lard Boi

@@binglebop5877 You ever seen the amount of rape jokes he makes? A couple. Evenly mixed in with his tamer stuff. We get it edgelord, you wanna see some hard r's thrown and blatant racism(it's a joke so you can excuse it right)? Unfortunately, not all comedians are super offensive. Sorry.
Trey Parker should host the Oscars. He’d let so much fun comedy into the show.
I only watched to see their reaction when Spike Lee threw his hissy fit.
I am disappoint.
Thank you for the spoilers for Skin. Now I wanna watch that
It's unintentionally hilarious, but you can tell the creators think it's so profound.
Looking forward to Captain Marvel winning Best Picture next year!
The award for most average goes too
the award for as boring as it gets goes to
33:46 well said!
-"Will they do one for Kevin Spacey when he actually dies?"
-"Probably, its the Academy they have no morals"
38:57 My favorite part of the entire Oscars was this shot of them zooming in on the envelope and showing that it says “Best Picture” before announcing the winner. Fucking hilarious that they have to make sure everyone knows that it’s real this time.
I’ve heard that Bohemian Rhapsody won best editing because they knew the editor had to do so much on his own and basically without a director. Still not good justification for bad editing, but at least it makes the win slightly more understandable
That makes it worse because that means it was incompetently made
The Film Academy of all people should know that by now
When I saw the movie I thought it was edited by 4 people because the editing style was all over the place!
And so the competent editing made by other movies aren't rewarded because boohoo this one editor worked hard?
Anybody else just go back to these oscars commentaries and rewatch them 😭

I’ve just begun studying film studies at school, and the teacher announced that we’ll be studying Skin all week. I was the only one that saw the end and half the class were crying and half the class was laughing, crazy how split people’s opinions are on this. 😳
Better than the actual Oscars.
What isn't?
The only award that I'm glad won was Into the Spider-Verse. It's nice to see the Oscars put away their favoritism to Disney & Pixar for actual effort and amazing artistry.
Now they can go back to automatically giving the awards to Disney once Toy Story 4 and Frozen II gets nominated next year.
I doubt they ll be better than how to train your dragon 3
Also... fuck Big Hero 6 !
@@1997residente As much as I love the trilogy, the Oscars will still give it to Disney. I wanted HTTYD 2 to win, but it went to Big Hero 6 instead. Not a bad movie, but by comparison, HTTYD 2 was a lot better.
@Michael, what if Toy Story 4 deserves an award though? Oh wait; you clearly hate it if Disney/Pixar movies get any award, even if they deserve. Moving on....
@@Stew91 I don't hate Disney and Pixar. I'm just saying it sucks that the Oscars prefer their movies while there have been other movies that deserves the award more. Even the voters admit that they haven't seen any of the other nominees (including the foreign films) and just give it to the studio just like that.
If Toy Story 4 turns out to be the best animated film of the year, then yes. I wouldn't mind it if it won.

Hitchcock never won an Academy Award aside from the honorary one and Bohemian Rhapsody won four. Wow!
I really liked Bohemian Rhapsody!! I'm English, and my dad saw one of Queen's shows live, he thought it was great. It's not supposed to be a documentary, it's a movie about Queen. Not a documentary. It's not supposed to show the full story, and it's fine if they change some things.
