Prendini ran a good race, she was fast out of the blocks, and did not exactly shut down in the str8s, but was out done by Shericka Jackson's 400m strength,, this means Prendini should run more 400ms in training.

It's called who can outrun , outkick and who has more of the overall strength , endurance and speed . But most importantly which athlete has more of the inner drive , inner " fire " to want it aka
" the actual win " more then any other .
Lanes has actually nothing to do with one's win aka victory .
Has everything to do with all the above listed .
One Has got to be far more physiologically stronger then any other in such a competition -- especially when it has to do with short sprint distances .
These sprint races end up being all about the athlete playing a mind game with the others in the field . The athlete must now truly only focus on the clock and getting to the finish line FIRST .

      Don't get it twisted.
Jamaica is behond because of resources, nothing else.
To buy the other expensive equipments is not relatively easy for Jamaica.
It is easy to run, because some athletes run barefooted in training.
So whatever discipline we enter we are successful.
      That is talent.

Prendini was good but was outsmarted and outrunned and just outkicked by the Jamaican .For Prendini to be able to hold off any. " come from behind " runner , she may need to run more 200 & 400 m repeats during practices .Altering between the 200 & 400 m would benefit her for the actual races .
    Run a 200 m then jog a 200m to then run a 400 m then jog to the 200m start line . Repeat .
Do this repeat of ten times as a warm up and / or as one set ----
If doing this as one set -- then do such intervals for an entire practice .
This is what Pendini should do in order to gain more speed more strength and stamina to hold off those athletes who can " come from behind " with their strength , their power aa well aa their endurance and their speed .
