Very nice video, it's a dance from my home, precisely from my region, we are in West Africa, precisely west of Côte d'Ivoire, and we are the Gouro people. This dance is done from generation to generation, Michael Jackson has it in his blood or maybe he saw some dance steps.

I very sure the dancer and the drummers do Not rehearse these performances. It’s is all anticipation to the point of being psychic. I know it seems impossible given the near perfection of coordination between them, but I would bet on it. Having watched so many of theses videos, the percussions are similar but very improv. The quick stop and starts are randomly placed. Loved seeing the kids have a go! This fellow with the twin head serpent and yellow face is my favourite. The mask expression is priceless. Calm, humble, joyful.

From what I understand, I could be wrong, this is like jazz. In fact the dancer is like a conductor of the band (mainly drums). They have to adapt to the dance. It is very complicated. To me it seems to be from another planet dancing like this.

There is nothing "wicked" about this culture, which comes from the Cote d'Ivoire. Likewise, there are a lot of misconceptions about voodoo.

Mz Tiyahs Gaming & Vlog Your comment shows how illiterate you are to the various African cultures. Voodoo is a religion from Benin. How do you know this religion is wicked? Because your brainwashing from American whites about African cultures you repeat just what white peoples says. I have one ancestor who was from Benin and was from the Weda region of the country and she was from the Ewedan people.

Miss Tiyas it is not nice to say things about other cultures that you don’t understand we are African we love our culture this dance is for joy you cannot undsertand because black peoples were taken into slavery in the americas so they lost the culture living or being born in America does not make you better than African we don’t copy your dances !!! Because we have the original one !!! And nobody is asking you to like it why do you bother to watch it since it is a demon dance you don’t even know what is voodoo you get every thing confused please leave Africans alone worry about your own culture !!!

Devemos a alegria contagiante que temos a este continente, que quando infelizmente seus filhos foram trazidos para cá em uma situação atroz, contudo a força interior e suas crenças venceram os preconceitos, e até hoje lutam pelo reconhecimento e dignidade.
