What we should do, is to not have what party you are a member of on anything to do with voter registration. Your vote is private. Your party affiliation should be private as well.
Idaho, Arizona, and at least one other state have ballot initiatives this year which shake up primaries. I'm not sure of the rest, but in Idaho it will be an *open* primary, where the top four vote-getters move on to the general election where RCV kicks in. Under such a system, party registration would be irrelevant. People would probably still be in parties but more for the sake of information and resource sharing not simply to be able to vote in a primary.
agreed , how can you call that a private matter when the odds are almost 100% that one votes for tue affiliated party ? has this always been this way ?
You can register and check your registration online in many states. Voter registration should be mandatory as soon as you turn 18 like the Selective Service registration, but for women and men both. After that, it is a personal choice whether to vote or not.
@@jackabug2475 In some there is a small fine for not voting, like Australia. Personally I like that idea but its not as important as other ideas so I wouldn't push it hard.
It matters much less to me which way people want to vote. It matters enormously that people *can* vote, and do so with confidence in the whole process.
Hell, the democrats rigged their own primaries this year to keep RFK out and then pulled a coup on Biden who "won" the primaries and replaced him with someone who has ZERO primary votes. If you think the Democrats aren't capable of tampering you are a fool.
The videos from 2020 showing people stuffing stacks of ballots in unmarked dropboxes... making 10-15 separate trips...they were ALL in democrat led cities, but somehow your conclusion is that Republicans will do ANYTHING to interfere. Hmmm, something tells me that in order to get to the bottom of this, we need to look at which party in N.C. has been levying politically motivated lawsuits against the state board of elections.
It is a question that needs to be asked. But most likely it was one person doing something stupid (like putting them on the roof of their car). That's why investigations are done.

Yes we have. Mail in voting for one, no Id required to vote in some states for another. The only people that should be allowed to vote by mail are the military serving overseas and the handicapped. Everyone else should be required to vote in person and show an id.

As I've aged and a registered voter I have been given options, early, mail or in person . The state has all my information and I can update it on line.
Everyone in every state could call or go to their election board and verify they are Registered. While there ask if they can print out and notarize the information. Have that with you if you vote in person.
I see people jump to conclusions as to who is responsible. How about we go back to if you want to vote you go to the courthouse show a valid ID and register to vote. They’ll then have a neat flat surface written signature to verify on a mail in ballots and not a clipboard scribbled one.
I hope the person(s) who did this get caught and go to prison.
Unless it's a Democrat, of course...

We already got to the bottom. The Steele dossier was a politically motivated lie and the Hunter Biden laptop was real.
Are all of the forms in favor of one particular party? If so, this is election interference and all states need to pass same-day registration.
It is a question that needs to be asked. But most likely it was one person doing something stupid (like putting them on the roof of their car). That's why investigations are done.

@MaggieMiller1 22 states have same day registration, including North Carolina. Hasn't been a problem so far.
