- This is a good starting point for those wanting to know how to solve equations using the Casio fx-CG50 calculators. I have used the Solving Equations booklet from corbettmaths.com for the questions.
Had no idea how to use this calculator you've helped me greatly. Wonderful teacher.
There's so much stuff this calculator can do that I didn't know! I'm really glad this video showed up in my recommendations.
And by the way you can change how often the back-light deactivates in when no button is pressed i would recommend a time of 3 minutes you seem to have 30 seconds on you can change it by going to the settings
Thanks - I set it to that to try and preserve the battery. I appreciate it may be better to have it for longer for wen doing videos.
What level are these questions? Most I could get the answers faster in my head than I’d be able to type them into the calculator.
Hello. I don't know if you would reply to this but I have a question about the solve feature. I usually bring all expressions to one side to make the RHS zero then on my Casio Classwiz I enter only the LHS part because the calculator will automatically equate it to zero when using the solver. I wonder if it can be done in the Cg59 as well? I simply don't like inputting an equal sign.
Tks for helping my daughter to undertsand the basics of the calculator. Any suggestion how to solve equation with "x" and "y" ? tks in advance
🙏
you mean simultanous equations?
There are lots of videos online use CG50 simultanous equations to solve it
Works as long as there’s only one variable?
For solving simultaneous linear equations I use the Equation (menu A), select the type, then the number of unknowns (it also solves complex ones if you change the setup). I don’t think I’ve used SolveN to solve for more than one variable. For non linear simultaneous equations, I use SolveN after I have used substitution and have it in a form with a single variable. I am still learning how to use these and there is still so much I don’t yet know.
hi I would be very happy if you could make more videos =)
Boom! I. Ever knew.
Is there any way to limit the solutions
Because i am trying to calculate the angle
I got like more than 8 solutions that I don't need it
For an angle you want the first positive solution for the majority of GCSE questions. To set the limit, you can do that for any equation. an example for a right-angled Trig question it could be:
SolveN (sin x = 8/10 , x, 0, 90)
Here I’ve said I want the x value to be between 0 and 90. You just change the range accordingly and it’ll do it for you every time.
I hope this helps :)
@@rhiannonrainbow2840 graphic calculator ain't allowed for gcse
@@mathonline8787 I believe they are as long as it isn't Cas. I always hated the test that say no calculators etc. In the real world no one is going to stop you from using one or care if you do.
Helpful, but the pace shows your familiar with the device. Whereas new owners wouldn’t be and the manufacturers guide isn’t that informative. Please slow down to aid new ones to follow. Other than that a good informative video.
Eighth grade students in Asia can solve these equations without a calculator. And a fx-CG50 is not required or even allowed in India.
ok, nice
I mean the math on this video is really easy in general most highschool students in all countries should have learned this starting 6th grade
we know
Ok…..
