btw you're probably the only one who thought this episode was worse animated. Because this episode was much better in terms of animation compared to other episodes. It wasn't great, but it was mostly okay. There are fewer png characters flying with the ball in the air while moving. (We can see looped animations instead.) Even though it is done with CGI, we can mostly see the foot movements fluently and understand what they are doing. (this doesn't bother me because mostly the CGI looks better compared to previous episodes) If you rewatch episode 2 you'll probably understand the development The other thing is, yes, Sae is arrogant, but he is a midfielder and due to his position, his job is to pass the ball, not to be selfish or score goals. Moreover, as we know before, the reason why he is interested in the Bluelock project is that he wonders whether a striker worthy of his passes will emerge in Japan.
i usually dont think the animation is too bad but it might've been cause in this episode a lot more of the "intense/action" moments happened so they had a lot of the slideshow looking animations, so it stood out to me more than in the past episodes since here it kept happening every like 10 seconds 😭
There is only nagi's goal that made me vibrate during this episode . Apart from that as usual the beginning was completely bad compared to the CGI and the 3D .I have a piece of advice to give. You have to go read the manga because it's better than the anime for sure
i think nagi's goal was the thing i liked the most during the episode, im also probably gonna read the manga once the show is over!! i wanna avoid spoilers for now but I'd definitely want to see the matches on the manga

nah, Nagi's goal aside, even the faces where ugly in this one, especially after sub-20 goal
